[Q] Unable to backup contacts to SIM card - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!everyone I've got a problem which confuses me a lot.Could you please help me?
Now I am using ThGo v17.I don't know why and I find that when I want to backup contacts to SIM card, I can't see any contacts when selecting. Later I can't remember what I have done and I can see the contacts but when I want to backup the contacts to SIM card ,ContactsImport.apk FC. However,it worked before.
I guess maybe that is because I once edited the build.prop.But I am not sure and I don't know whether the build.prop has something to do with this problem or not.
Could you please tell me how to solve this problem?

[Q] Is there a way to restore android deleted system file?

Hi everyone,
2 days ago I tried to update my aunts sensation xl and told her that it is better to update its ROM from 2.3.5 to 4.0.3.
So i created a google account in phone and added it in order to sync contacts....and after 2 hours, I thought that it has been synced.... but I was wrong.
After upgrading device to ICS, and adding the previous account that i made before upgrading, I was waiting for contacts to restore, but nothing happend....
I opened the gmail account on PC and saw that there was no contacts. So the only way for me to restore the contacts is to find a way to restore them from Phone device.
So,is there any software, either on phone or PC, to restore contacts from phone? or is there a way to have access to root folders and files of phone on PC to use a recovery program to restore "Contacts.db" file that was erased while flashing ICS?
I will appreciate any help from you guys to help me saving my reputation.....
Im sorry but those contacts are gone, you cannot undelete a file like that.
Also, for future reference, google only syncs contacts that you opt to sync when creating that contact (everytime you add a new contact, it prompts you where to save it, you would choose Google Sync)

Check the sim card's phonebook if they have any contacts and also check the sd card if they have any vCards left. If not then they are gone forever. You can also try to copy them from your aunt's old phone. (If she has one)

1) click on thanks instead of saying thank you
2) You won't need to edit contacts if you already have them. But if they are gone then you would have to start everything from the beginning.

Lost ALL contacts

I've lost all my contacts today.I was deleting some unneeded files on my SD card (Might have deleted some necessary files) and was preparing to flash a ROM. After I flashed I noticed my contacts gone. I have tried toggling with the import from SD card and sim card.. Ive also tried display sim card but it doesn't work. I have some nandroid backups and was wondering if I can extract my contacts out of one of the updates. I also have a deleted files recoverer program on my computer which might find the file I deleted. Problem is, I don't really know which files I need. Another piece of information that might be helpful is that I tried restoring back to one of the nandroid backups but found only 2 contacts... Please help

[Q] Backup SMS's

Anyone knows at least one tool or app to save SMS in the SIM card into GMAIL, or a way to copy all of them into phone first?
Attention: Apps to copy from the phone memory into GMail I already know.
Thanks

[Q] Upgrade to KitKat, cannot restore contacts, sms, call log from JellyBean

I was running the ROW S124 version on my phone, which worked fine (apart from the occasional spontaneous shutdown).
Finally though I'd upgrade to KitKat (S226).
Took a backup to SD Card of my call log, contacts, and sms-es in the S124 built-in backup-restore from Lenovo (go to calls/messaging/contacts and you see settings on the right tab, with backup-restore options).
Did the upgrade, all good, now on rooted S227 version, wanted to restore my call log, contacts, sms-es, but...in KitKat this is no longer possible. You can only restore from the cloud. And I never backed up to cloud, only to SD Card.
For the contacts, that's not really a problem since they are synced back from my Google account.
But sms : they are backed up as vmsg and all tools I tried so far cannot deal with it.
The call logs are also in an unknown format (by any tool).
That's really unacceptable, that Lenovo would change the backup-restore so much that you cannot put back old data??
Anyone has had the problem, or even better, found a solution ?
Tried the Lenovo backup and restore apk I found on a dodgy Chinese site, but that of course did not work (and I uninstalled it again, who knows how many viruses in there...).
Perhaps someone has an APK that works?
Thanks!

Did you tried to read your card on an dedicated SD CARD READER?
Try this and go to the folder where your backup is and copy the backup file on internal memory. Then click on it and see what happent.

No, I just gave up on it, now using SyncIt from Lenovo, the follow-up...
For your SD card, I'd try to copy all contents on another disk or somewhere else by just using your PC (put card in PC and copy all).
What card are you using? So far I didn't have any problems with that...
