Do factory reset and wipe cache...
then select install zip from sd card and select the zip file of the ROM..
Cheers

Isn't he is trying to install the update of the ROM only? 0.o
I had used LeWa before, just flash it using CWM...

Use install, don't use the update option. There's no need to do a wipe if your just updating.

You need 5.0.2.8 LeWa version of CWM in order to install updates...

Hello there!
I hv searched few hrs on CWM5.0.2.8 Lewa but couldn't find it. Can you port it over here for users having this Lewa Rom who also need this. Your help goes a long way.

Hei There!
I solved the problem. I flashed the latest rom after wiping cache/data. I still cant find the CWM5.0.2.8 even I searched the chinese website:115.com/file/ane69mcp they stated it as cm_zip

Hi.. I am unable to update below update on lewa ROM .. The last updated patch is 12 _05_25
LeWa_OTA_Cooper_12.05.25-12.06.01_7a5ab.zip
I have latest CWM... get message update aborted
Thanks...

It's not true, now you can update with ota also with cwm 5.0.2.6. The problem is link2sd: if you want ota updates you must use native a2sd (moving app to sd in settings) and also you can't modify any system file, like gps.conf and any others
Inviato dal mio GT-S5830 con Tapatalk 2

BUMP!!!
me too! I have been able to update prior to the last update. But now, I can't. I've read in some post that you should delete the .Zip that contains 0 bytes. Yet again its not the solution. The error is: "E:Error in /sdcard/LEWA/ota/download/LeWa_OTA_Cooper_12.05.25-12.06.01_71a5ab.zip(Status 7)"
P.S. I dont want to flash the whole rom. I just want the update. Please help.

Uninstall Link2sd and do not alter any settings. Download OTA from first page flash it with CWM. No need to wipe. It works for me. Hope this help you.

You renamed the backup , that's why it has a md5 mismatch .
Change the name back to the original one and you can restore .
CWM 5.0.2.6 is for CM7 , use CWM 4 instead .

after i partitione my sd card 512 mb by CW5 ... and did a factory reset the memory size of my 4 gb card still stucks at 3.1 gb....(after factory reset it should fall to original value).. i tried format on pc but it remained the same...
any link with the problem coz of this??? (i booted without sd and had no effect)...
also shall i mount /system and /data before installing the updates by CW5 ... (i respect you).. but i havent read this in any CW5 tutorial.9i dont mean disrespect here)...
shall i jump to a lower CW version ???? if so how??? and if not shall i flash the cyanogen 7.2 or better hand it to customer support????

why the hell you people do partitioning stuffs and backups if you dont know how to fix it and what are they meant.......
your pc as i can tell have windows install will not recognize ext3/4 partitions on sd card thats reason why its still 3.1gigs... to get that there is some tool
secondly you have no choice than flashing your firmware or doing some advance stuffs to make md5 match with the backup
my suggestion would be flash the firmware with odin and for your information you will loose all apps and all contacts/sms .... this would be good lesson to you before doing something wrong and knowing nothing of

Yes, new rom replace all things
well since you have already done factory reset (and lost all your data) no point in whats written below
But if it happens next time and you want to preserve data, please mention if you are running an odexed/deodexed rom. Someone nice here can upload the file(s) you need and you can push them to your phone using adb

Yes stock rom will always be odexed. to check you can go to app or framework folder in system/ and see if you have corresponding odex files for apk or jars.
Edit: Also a suggestion. Don't flash mods that do not specefically say that they are for odexed roms (if you are on stock). For brightness control you can use lux brightness free from market. it gives you control on how much brightness you need

[Q] updating ROM to higher version or new release

has anyone been using the KXP Milestone1 ROM for WT19i (Coconut), or any of the other devices it supports?
they have released a new version, Milestone1-R2 a week ago. i have Milesotne1-R1 installed on my phone. i just wanted to know if i can simply copy the R2 zip to my SD card, and use the "update using zip" option in CWM to update my ROM, or if i'll have to reinstall the ROM (thereby having to backup apps and contacts, the existing ROM and all that, which is a P in the A).
can anyone please help?

No... Installing a new ROM doesn't wipe apps automatically... You must do a factory reset to wipe apps...
It isn't required if you are upgrading the same ROM

Just so you know, "update from zip" will look for a zip named "update.zip" on your sdcard and then install it, an update.zip is typically just a patch that only contains changes and it isn't used very much anymore. If the zip is named something else then use "install zip from sdcard"

[Q] CWM Recovery on Galaxy Player 4.2 {Related to No WiFi}?

Hello there guys so I'm here because I did a very silly mistake related to the CWM for the Galaxy Player 4.2 (Or at least that's what I think I did ).
Related to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39344227
Anyway I'm not familiar with CWM since the Galaxy Player 4.2 is my first Android device ( And is not like the device has been easy on us right ), my device is rooted and the problem is that I already got the Kernel on my device and as expected I'm without WiFi. How can I configure the CWM Recovery without WiFi, if not, how can I get WiFi back?.
Sorry for bothering with dummy questions/mistakes and thanks in advance .

Can I flash the fix without CWM, for example with Odin?. I'm having a really hard time here, since I was dumb enough to install the Kernel without configuring the CWM before or at least making sure I could do it without the WiFi. Now the problem is when I want to flash with Rom Manager it says I need the recovery since I'm not a premium but again in order to get the recovery I need WiFi internet :/.

Wow it's the first time I see somebody having more problems with CWM than odin (no offense). Actually all you need to do is to put the patch into your device and then boot into CWM. Once into CWM, go into install zip from sdcard, then chose zip from sdcard and chose your patch zip. Once you choose it, you will see a bunch of no and one yes, check yes and it will patch it. Once it's done, reboot your device.
Hope it helps.

Any idea ?

E: signature verification failed

Maybe I should tell you everything I did just in case.
I had the device already rooted.
Flashed the kernel
Installed the CWM v5.0.2.7
Transfered the Fix zip to sdcard
then I did everything you said and also tried to disable verification and still failed.
Sorry to be bothering U_U.

Also, cwm backup seems to ignore backup of boot.image and recovery image. There is not even an error or warning message.

[Q] how to get out of bootloop on s 2

first time i install cm10.1 nightly on s2 i9100, there was no prob...then flashed pacman rom ..was a little glitchy and slow.
So moved on to paranoid android..this is where the prob started... it keeps on bootlooping :?
Right now flashed stock 4.1.2 via odin and rooted with siyah kernel s2 v6 0.5b ..works fine
but if i flash any custom ROM it bootloops ,even with the prior cm10.1 that i had..
checked xda , did a lot of work but still stuck at square one..{wiping this , wiping that}
only thing i can find fault with is in recovery when wiping data says
Format/sdcard/.android_secure ..fail
skip Format
Format completed
when trying to intsall from sdcard it says
E:/ cannot mount..
tried different cwm recovery .. all with the same findings..
so please help me.. its boring to be stuck with stock ROM..
i am a doctor ..i tried but couldnt follow running SDK and commands ..so please keep it simple
or if possible publish a video.. bcause iam not the only one with this predicament...during my research i found a lot android users with the same problems..
Thanks

Thank you..ammar but as i have already said my phone works but with the stock rom...i end up bootlooping only when iinstall custom ROM
n the solution given in that thread 1. is to flash a stock rom.. 2. flashing villain rom but the download links are not working..
i think it has do with fail to format .androidsecure thing but what do i know?
again thanx..

also backup all ur internal memory data to a pc and then format your Internal memory from within the rom
You could try using a couple of wipe scripts by a guy called hawkerpaul....I think they're called 'romwipe' and 'kernelwipe'.......
Use the XDA search function....should be easy enough to find.
It may be that there are some 'leftovers' following the usual wipes (cache, dalvik and data) that are causing conflicts with your fresh installs.....
The above mentioned scripts perform a more in depth wipe....might help.....

i have tried that GS2ROM wipe and nuke scripts already, with no luck ... yes that runs bigger wipe but it still fail to format sdcard .andoidsecure
i think it has do with renaming of the sdcard{silly doubt when recovery states sdcard , it doesnt refer to extsd right?} from sdcard to sdcard0 while installing CM10.1,,
if i could safely erase that {.andoidsecure}, probably things will back to normal .. anyone know how to
oh iam not able to use install from sdcard option in recovery(formerly before flashing any ROM i was able to..i hav to install from "internal memory"
Again iam grabbin at random bcause i want to go bac to custom ROMs. .if any of sounds untechi ..let me remind u i am just , what do they call it.. a noob and i do apologise...

i can find folder .androidsecure in extsd card and that erasing that doesnt solve the problem.. there must be another copy
iam not able to find .androidsecure in sdcard {internal}..with neither ES explorer nor Root explorer..
i dont know if this helps but i tried to intall that int2ext mod once but it didnt take ..installation aborted in recovery..i cant really remember if this was before or after i started havin the bootloop problem...Most likely after ...when i was running stock rom
There those are all the cards ...someone please solve the puzzle...
hey i can install custom roms again
1.formatted extsd and usb storage{after making back up of course} in storage setting in ROM
2.in recovery : Mount emmc
Mount sdcard
wipe user data
Flash the custom ROM
and it didnt go into bootloop ...hurrah
Running CM10.1 on i9100...
thanks guys..
looking into dual boot with siyah...are cm10.1 and PA rom compatible? jumping the gun too soon..lol..
