[Q] [HELP] 800+MHz Kernel for CM9.0 Nightly - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

hey guys im using Galaxy Ace CM9.0 Nightly release. if i OC the cpu, max is 845 but didnt too stable when playing games. 825 is the stable but still, not stable enough. i want to OC higher than 845MHz. so i can play games without lags. is there any OC Kernel for me?

1.Cm9 currently only have mclaw's kernel.
2.the value of oc depends on the hardware of the phone, not kernel.
3.Maybe your phone can only oc to 845
Correct me if I'm wrong.

actually I do think there is a slight relationship between the oc and the kernel. Not sure though. and about #3 maybe only 845 for THIS rom but not for other roms since CM9 currently is nightly

Mine is pretty stable at 902Mhz

hmmm, sad. maybe i only can get 845MHz. i want moar! moar! the only thing that i cant OC is my SGAce. if theres any kernel for OC more please notify me yes?
sent usong OC'ed PC >_<

You can over clock 800+MHz. but when you go higher(902MHz) that not stable at all time.sometimes it makes your phone cry.

I can oc to 960 on maclaw's latest nightly.
@DooAce
yes we have different highest oc value on every roms sorry for that. But the kernel, I don't think any different

960!!! Is that stable ? You will fry your phone.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using my hands

yea, hows that possible? 960 is way to crazy. maybe you can tell how you do it

My experience is that the oc limit depends from the rom because in some roms i can oc to 902 mhz and in some only up to 844mhz

ROM and Hardware. Not all can go beyond 900MHZ
and WTF 960?! Do you want to fry your phone?!

How can i overclock my optimu one, up to 780 mhz. Now i can overclock only 748 . :S
Buy another LG P500 and see if your overclock is higher.
it's releated to the kernel you're using
Sent from my LG-P500 using tapatalk
i agree to unicycler,.. it really depends on your kernel.. some kernel can OC more than 768 but its not stable and will cause a kernel panic then your phone will reboot
i only OC up to 768 and i dont have any problems at all

You can search another rom and try it.I am trying to increase CPU voltage so that the CPU could running at a very high speed ,but i have not find an efficent way.I would like to make my P500 Running at 800Mhz stably.Could someone help me?

Just use another kernel or ROM... Each kernel will also give you different governors! ROM PerfectPeso2.2
I use franco kernel 4# with nightly foure. I can overclock only 748 Mhx
It depends on cpu also some can oc 710 and some can oc up to 806

There are differents in how high u can go, try out at your own Risk
My phone gets into a boot loop if I overclock it to 883MHz, so be careful while overclocking. You might kill your ace

overclocking is too much desired.... but in a hot condition .... keep ur ace cool at normal MHZ of 800 else u can end up of excessive battery heating ,, retarding battery life...and may be a processor burn ....

Overclocking issues

I'm currently on The Unofficial v1.5 and supposedly it supports overclocking up to 1.9 ghz. Has anyone else using this rom noticed that when you raise the clock speed that high it just reboots constantly? Its supposed to be able to support it, so have I done something wrong?

Most kernels say 1.9 but u should stay at 1.83. 1.9 creates bootloop

Yes...it does bootloop alot at that speed.. the safest speed is 1.83 or even 1.89 that's plenty of enough speed without any problems...

1.94 os max speed if u read it says 1.83 stable
sent from team perfections ics rom
The max speed on any device is always unstable. Actually most of the time the top two or three speeds ar always unstable. It also depends on the device too. My Note and your Note may not be stable at the same speed and the rom has nothing to do with it, its the chip in your phone. I remember I had a Touch Pro 2 once that most people could only over clock to 710MHz but a few of us could overclock to 786MHz. I have my Note running pretty stable at 1836 but I have seen some people complaing about bootloops at that speed so it really depends on your device. Remeber when testing out clock speeds make sure that you never check "Apply At Boot" in case the speed is not stable and only check it when you find a stable speed. Her's a video of someone running stable at 1890MHz

Yes. Leave it at 1.5max and 192min. If you're not doing anything that requires oc'ing, why set it high.

LWW Normal Temperature for OC ?

Hi guys, I'm trying to overclock my lww and I've been running some benchmarks to see the results. I'm concerned about the temperature - I don't know much about mobile overclocking and my question is what temperature is safe for my phone ? Currently I'm running stability test - cpu and gpu testing on 1.6ghz and the peak temperature is 38 degrees. What can you tell me about it ?
I'm not sure if the LWW has an SoC with a CPU thermal sensor.. Its probably the battery temperature.. Even so.. anything below 40-45 degrees should be just fine.. Phone should reboot on overheating I guess.. Most phones heat up anyways on charging so you should be ok.. As always overclocking will reduce battery life.. so will constant higher system temperature..
Thanks for the reply. So i guess 1.4 should be just fine for mainstream overclocking :fingers-crossed:

I'm using KRsH Kernel v3.0 ICS with MiniCMSandwich Lite Final v4 AOSP. Pretty good I would say. You mus tweak it a little bit for best performance.
You can overclock upto 1.9 GHz using rage kernel. But it seems very heavy on battery. My advice Is upto ~1.4Ghz .. Temp. Is max upto 38 on heavy usage.
