So, I decided to buy a Blurex Slim Case for my Asus Transformer Prime as well as a Full Body Invisishield (front and back) on memorial day when they had the half off sale. I would like to review these two accessories as they work together. This is my first review so be nice!
I find that the Blurex case and the full body invisishield combined allows for the most amazing protection that my Asus Transformer Prime has EVER had. The case fits with the shields and protects my unit from all but the most intense damages(water/dropping really hard). I love the smooth yet firm premium feel of the case and how it allows you to feel the contour of the device without exposing it too much.
So yeah, if anyone has anything else to add, feel free. Im typing this on a quick break lol!

Ok. I picked up the Black Transleeve for my Prime earlier this week. As you probably anticipated from the marketing info on this accessory, it was going to be something very similar to the iPad SmartCover.
Well, after only three days of usage, I have to say that the Transleeve is a complete waste of money.
The sleeve leaves smudge marks on the glass where the creases for the "origami" of the sleeve are. These smudges are harder to clean off then normal fingerprints.
The entire sleeve itself seems to be too big for the Prime. It seems to overhang the edges by a few millimeters and just does not give the overall unit a clean feel or look.
The edges of the sleeve are already curling up as if the material used as the "structure" within the sleeve is cheap cardboard or plastic.
The sleeve, while it attaches very securely to the device with the prongs, does not attach anywhere else (like how the iPad SmartCover is held magnetically to the screen), so the Transleeve flops all over the place.
These are just a few annoyances I have noticed that make me feel that this OVERPRICED cover is not at all worth purchasing as an add-on. Something this cheap should have just come with the device.
Thanks for the heads up. I was gonna purchase one of these tomorrow.
I actually really like my transleeve. If all you want to protect is the screen, it's very good. I'm aware I'm in the minority.

Well I love mine too. I have ZERO issues with it and it does what it suppose to do "Protect the Screen and serve as a stand"
I have been using mine none stop since December.
Yes, It doesn't have the magic magnet charm as the iPad2 one has but it's the best solution you can find for now.
Also $40 is overpriced but I'm happy with it.
POS.... $40 POS at that.
Sent it back first day I got it, 3 weeks before I even got my Prime.
- Cheaply made.... very cheaply made.
- does not stick to screen.
- scratches the back of Prime, by slot holes.

My wife's pink one fell apart after 3 days. I've had mine for 4 weeks without issue.
I love mine. Works great. Try for yourself.

I love mine. Bought it used a week ago from Amazon and just used it at a conference in Boston,MA. It was PERFECT! Went well with my neoprene case. I am thinking of either a pelican case or G-form next, but should fit with either one.
Found a good one here, hopefully will generate enough interest to make it happen.

I'm so surprised no one is making these. It was a must have for my TF101. Now that I have the TF201, It feels naked and vulnerable.
I hope this gets made by someone soon. Like I said, it feels naked without the rubber skin protection.

Expect it for the new Transformer Pads, not going to see many more accessories for the old discontinued Prime.

Stop spreading misinformation, the Prime is not discontinued.
The new Transformer tablets consist of a budget model designed to replace the original Transformer (and with reduced specs & features to match) and a more expensive "premium" tablet with a higher res display and a price to match. The Prime will continue to be the "mainstream" model for at least the next year.
The main reason there are so few accessories for the Prime, is that people don't know if it will sell well so they don't bother pre-making accessories like they do for the iPad. If you follow the release of the Xoom of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 you will see that in the first few months 3rd party accessories for those specific tablets were also very sparse.

The Transleeve was garbage. It has an 80% failure rate, as in: it fell apart in people's hands during normal usage. Also it has the unfortunately tendency to physically damage every Tablet it was used with.
Hopefully Asus will release an updated version that fixes these problems.
However that doesn't mean that the Transformer Prime tablet has been discontinued. There is no evidence and until you provide me a link to Asus explicitly stating that the tablet is disco'ed stop spreading misinformation.
Incidentally, the TP300 and TP700 both use identical mounting ports to the TF Prime, so any future versions of screen protectors like the Transleeve should be backwards compatible with the Prime since all tablets have the same size screen. Perhaps they discontinued the Transleeve because they have a better accessory set to be released with these new additions to the Transformer Pad line.
This is what I want.
A little thinner mind you, but a silicone case is my desire.
Sighz, I used to have a very nice case for my samsung galaxy s2. Silicone inside, hard case outside. It was totally AWESOME! See this ->
ebay.com.sg/itm/Black-Orange-Silicone-Combo-Case-Cover-Samsung-Galaxy-S2-I9100-/190612983403?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item2c616b4e6b
It looks cool and doesn't scratch your phone at all!
Some are hard cover inside, and silicone outside - i had them for my iphone but it scratched my iphone! See this -> ebay.com.sg/itm/Hard-Case-w-Soft-Skin-Rubber-Silicone-Cover-iPhone-3G-3GS-Black-Orange-/140680538736?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20c136aa70
Thus I'm hesitant about getting a gumdrop case for my prime, because the hardcase is on the inside while the silicone is outside.
CAN SOMEONE MAKE THE FIRST ONE FOR THE TRANSFORMER PRIME??!! DON'T MIND PAYING MORE FOR IT! HAHAHA
I too want a TPU case for my Prime and am disappointed one has not been released yet. I have seen the androidtablet thread gauging interest in a silicone case, and I might buy one of these for use in rugged conditions, but it appears they would be thick and I want a thin one for daily use and much prefer tpu to thick rubbery silicone.
I currently have the next best thing to a tpu case and that is the roocase dual view leather case. It is two pieces - one is a sleeve that protects the back, sides, and bezel like a silicone or tpu case would. The other part is a folding case that attaches to the sleeve with velcro and will allow it to stand in portrait or landscape and at various angles. I don't use that part much, though, since I prefer cheap, sturdy universal tablet stands (about $6 on ebay) and have them at work and home, so don't need to carry the external part of the roocase.
With the roocase sleeve and a screen protector, the thing is well protected and I can throw it in my (large) lunchbox or a pocket (in a scottevest vest or jacket - yes I am a _real_ nerd and own these) and not worry about dropping or scratching it. The leather of the roocase sleeve is thicker than a tpu or thin silicone case would be, although it looks like it is smaller than a thick silicone case such as the guy on androidtablets is proposing.
It is a pita that the leather of the roocase sleeve protrudes more than it needs to and makes the power button hard to reach. Plus it makes the Prime almost an inch larger in both height and width and almost doubles the thickness. So, yes, I really want a tpu case like everyone else but the roocase sleeve is the only substitute there is for now.
Gumdrop case
You guys should google gumdrop case tf201, they are starting production and will start shipping April 16.
The Gumdrop is cool but way to much case for me
What is the thinnest folding case available
I am looking for a case for the 300 that is as thin as possible. I really only care about scratch protection, I don't expect it to protect from drops (not that most case will provide that protection anyways). I do need it to have a stand function to watch movies. Since this is already thicker than prime I want to minimize that as much as possible.
Even the cheapie vinyl thin case that came bundled with the Acer a500 at costco would be fine. It was very thin.
The case I have for my ipad2 is tapered at the edges to keep the profile as thin as possible instead of being just squared off at the side edges. In other words, it should wrap around the side edges like a glove.
i just ordered the MOKO slim fit case from amazon. I hope this caters to your needs. it's slim and tough enough to even withstand drops.

decent but not quite what I am looking for. The case you are talking about clips or hooks onto the tablet in about4 to 6 areas (4 corners plus maybe 2 additional top and bottom). It leaves alot of the edge exposed. On th eplus side it is usually a hard back case so decent protetion.
However, what I had in mind is a case that slips all around the edges of the tablet. Most cases are designed like this but except what I have in mind would be slimmer with the edges tapered to match the edge of the tablet but still wrapping the entire tablet (except at the ports). Hard to tell, but I think this case fits that description but it is for tf101 only:

Honestly? I am still waiting for something the like the shell+smartcover that my mom's Ipad has. That really is brilliant stuf.
For now I found this to be the thinnest sleeve/cover/whatever
Urbanflip series on HandiHeldItems
I have one and had to adjust the hole for the headphone jack.
But it works pretty good, is a lot thinner that some other case I bought and has a cut out for the charger.
But an Ipad-like smartcover .. to me that's the bomb

Wow, that's almost exactly what I'm looking for - just with the ability to use it with the dock! They have this one on their site that does just that:
HHI Keyboard Case with Slim Portfolio Stand Cover for Asus Transformer Pad TF300
I have a carbon fiber leather case for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and won't buy another case unless it's the same material, it looks so slick and resists scratches and hides dirt like no other case. Since getting it, I've taken out the tablet probably 3 times!
Good find!

All 3 of these are pretty much the same and is the thinnest case out in the market:

This case is also very thin but I can't find it anywhere outside of the wholesale site:

Have One, Love It
I've had the roocase for 6 months now, and I have to tell you I love it. If you're primary concern is protection, is is superb. The inner sleeve (that the tablet actually fits into) makes it super easy to hold on to. Put it in the main case, prop it up for easy hands free reading or watching a movie.
Just thought I'd share my opinion. These cases used to be really expensive. I'm at work, and they have Amazon blocked so I can't see if it's exactly the same case, but mine is leather. Has zippered outer case, and sleeve that fits inside.

no.
Glad I didn't buy it back when I bought the tablet now. Can't beat that price!
I've been looking at the Bobjgear Rugged case for the TF201 I just repaired. Looks really nice, similar to the Gumdrop case but vastly cheaper.. Has anyone used this case yet? I've contacted them to order one for myself, from the reviews I gather the case is excellent, provides great shock protection when dropped, and makes it feel beefy so you're not feeling like you're holding a piece of glass.
http://bobjgear.com/
Here's a link to it on Amazon : http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Transfo...0B04/ref=aag_m_pw_dp?ie=UTF8&m=A3SQAI9BQY42F6
Looks rugged as hell.
I picked up the Poetic Leather Keyboard Portfolio case from Amazon several months ago after replacing my LCD / digitizer. While not quite as ruggedly designed as the Bobjgear, it's sufficient to offer significant protection over having nothing at all and my Prime/Dock lives in my backpack when not being used (read: much potential for shock damage).
The Poetic case claims to be leather -- it seems to me to be more like sprayed-on vinyl. It cost less than $18usd.
I particularly like that the portfolio case comes apart into two pieces. If you want to disconnect your keyboard and take just the tab, this portfolio will do that. The part that connects the keyboard snaps off. You're left with a fold-over portfolio that's adequate.
Got my case, have my tablet screen fixed for the millionth time (cheap piece of easily breakable crap, what a horrid design).
Anyways, the case is NICE. I don't feel like I'm carrying a sheet of glass around now, it's easy and nice to hold, fixes VERY well and pads so nicely against bumps it's unbelievable.
Definitely a solid value.
