Did u push it in till u hear a click? If not u should do so. If u cant click it then the mechanism must be broken and u will have to ask another or repair it.

No, it is not an issue with not being able to insert the sim all of the way

Is your phone branded? Does your sim match the brand?

Remove the Sim, clean the contacts (physical ones, not the phole numbers) and re-insert it.

Hi Everybody,
I had the same problem on my Xperia Arc S. Remove the SIM card and press the socket with your finger to make it tighter. If it's not enough you can put a piece of paper next to the SIM. It seems to be working for me.
Best wishes,
Peter

Came in to say this. It was funny watching the Best Buy Manger try to put it in and take it out. He had no idea what he was doing until I told him he had it upside down and the wrong way in

Now that's pretty funny! Part of my issue is from the fact I used a SIM cutter to move the SIM from another phone. I was able to push it in further and then use my fingernail to gently pull it out. Thanks for the help!
It's definitely difficult to press in. It seems to sit further in than the MicroSD. My fingernail wouldn't work, I've had to use a paperclip.

I finally found the SIM tray tool that comes with the phone a week ago and popped the SIM card out and put it back in perhaps it wasn't in there properly or it's not a snug fit but I haven't had the problem since ! Hope this helps

Huge screen Issue!! help needed please!!

Hi everyone well first of all thanks 4 your time..
Yesterday I woke up and when I took my phone and pressed the power button to unlock it, I got such a terrible surprise.. The screen had some weird lines and signs and stuff, I couldnt get it to work.. so I opened the phone but couldnt do anything except for cleaning a bit... once I reassembled it, it got to work but after a while the phone froze and still had the same issue.. I will upload some pics so you can have an idea of what im talking about.. if you know what the problem could be, i would be glad to hear it.. Thanks a lot... :good:
Check your phone !!
If it boot in bootloader or not ??
1) remove battery
2) press power button + volume down
If your phone boots in bootloader after following above steps and if you can see the options correctly in it and no more lines in it than it mean that your screen and hardware is ok.
You have software problem..
Check it out and post it hear..

Sorry to say this but is your digitizer broken? If you didn't do this on your own you can send it to HTC if it's still under warranty.
But first try removing the battery one more time and first hold volume down then hold power, try it again with more force.

NO its not broken, I think its not a hardware issue.. I have no idea about what happened, i just applied some pressure to the screen and it suddenly got fixed.. but there are some small lines that just suddenly appear on the screen.. everything is working perfect but just for a small period of time.. after moving the phone it suddenly freezes and the problem starts again... thanks...

If it's a software issue then run a RUU and see if it helps. The RUU will fix every software problem because it gets it on 100 percent stock. If it can't it has to be a hardware issue.

Hmm..
Try to run it on bootloader.
See what's happen.
According to your reply I don't think so it is software issue.
Bcoz you pressed the screen and after that it comes to work so...
And according to my knowledge ,
There is a chip available in front upper side of display ( inside )
It is broken or get damaged.
And it is causing this problem.

Yes now I know its a hardware issue.. but dont really know which chip your talking about.. maybe if you could help me with some pictures or with some id I might try to look for it and see if that is really the issue.. Thanks.. :good:
If your issue is that that than anyone can't help you Bcoz you have to replace it.
And you should contact HTC or mobile repairer....
Bcoz it contains soldering
...etc...etc...

I think they gave you a defective phone. I saw this issue on one Xperia SP and L as well. Had to send them off to the service center
