So trying to QPST, and found that the old HTC Diag drivers are not working for the EVO LTE. Am I wrong? Anybody have drivers that work? Anybody trying to QPST with success. TIA.

Love noob fights....haha I thanked you both.
japclev, I have not attempted to use QPST yet. I have a link in my signature with the processes that I have used in the past for past phones. Might be some helpful info there. If and When I get a chance to try this on this phone I will post up about it. Until then I am not 100% sure it will work.
Unfortunately, I have been through all the steps and have had it working for Evo 3D. I would like to know if anyone has had QPST working for the new EVO Lte which unless I'm doing something wrong, doesn't recognize the old HTC Diag drivers.

Working Drivers
Hello, i have installed the DIAG drivers that i used in EVO 3D and my computer detected my EVO 4G LTE with no problem, it assigned com10 and in qpst i can see it, but when I try to start the service programming says the message: Online Connection Failure... i attach some pictures.
I'm going to try the com port assignment and let you know if I get same

I moved over to this thread....QPST build 366 did not work at all for me...
I am getting same error on QPST build 323...
Been trying various builds with no success.
Okay got build 264 to recognize phone...albeit weird phone number (my base number maybe)..
picked a generic phone but read/write works...
hope it helps

Thanks for this, I was looking to increase the loudness of my evo lte using qpst and this build worked for me while the others did not. Really appreciated you sticking with this thread and updating.
Thanks so much!
Thank you japclev for the suggestion of what build to use!!! I was getting the connection error and could not figure out anything wrong with my setup!
I too had to select a generic device to use (I picked one that didn't have M.IP configuration at first, but upon selecting a "better" model it worked).
Build 264 it is, from now on, to use with my Evo LTE!
God bless!!

Hi, have been reading the xda forums for awhile now. but it seems i can't post in the s3 developer's thread so I would have to ask it here.
I wish to root my s3 and this is my first time doing it. I have downloaded the S3 toolkit and have installed it. Upon opening it, I chose option 1 to install the USB drivers. After that, I observed that there is a serial under the ADB mode which means that the device is detected.
However, when i try to choose option 2 and follow the instructions, odin does not recognize my phone. Is there any way that I may have done it wrongly? I have selected USB debugging mode for the phone.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Do you have Kies running as well? Ensure you close out Kies and kill the process in windows as well.

The GSM part simply refers to the type of network the device works on. Currently the only S3 models available are GSM but America will be launching the S3 soon on LTE networks and a different hardware configuration.
GSM models have been sold throughout Europe so if you have an S3 now it will be supported by the ToolKit. When LTE devices are launched I will add compatability for those users too.

Sometimes just unplugging/replugging the usb cable is enough to fix any connection problems

When I had my HD2 I had a program installed that allowed me to see my mobile on my pc screen and could use the phone on my pc as if i was using the actual phone,
Any idea what this could be and is there one for the One X?
Cheers in advance
There's a few:
AndroidScreencast, but that's outdated
A VNC server
There's another one, I'll get back to you if I can find it
I don't recognize those names but thanks
Edit: The one I used had to have HTC sync running for it to work and I had a little image of a mobile in my taskbar when the app was running if that helps

Not being Rooted is going to restrict your options in many aspects. It basically like having a governor on your device. Your never going to be able to experience your device's full potential while Un-Rooted.

Hey all,
I have an Incredible 4G partially flashed to Boost. Talk/text works fine, but data does not. It appears it is able to get an IP address, but I can't send/receive any data. I've tried fooling with the APN, but no dice. A traceroute was able to get to a sprint gateway, so it is working a little. Not sure if its something in the rom blocking it, or maybe in the radio firmware.
And if anyone's wondering, you flash this phone just like you do the thunderbolt, rezound, and some samsung galaxy s3's. You need to set the RUIM to NV only. After that it will let you program it.
*Update*
Thank goodness for qxdm logging. I was able create an isf file, then parsed it with the ppp dumper, and fed that into wireshark. I see a lot of stuff going on in the UM portion. I could've swore boost wants to work over the RM part...
Anyway at least I have tools that I can use to see what the heck is going wrong. Hopefully something good will come of this.
Also, when I try to access any site by IP address, I get:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server
Ok I figured it out. The active profile has to be set to 1 (The second profile)
A lot of guides tell you to set it to 0, which is incorrect. You only want it set to 0 before activating, which is not possible when the phone does not have a sprint/boost firmware.
HI

Hi I am currently trying to flash the same device inc4g to boost with no luck, I am stuck trying to zero out the meids and esns any help will b realle appreciate it!
To get past the meid repair you'll need to Google "band-aid meid repair"
After that you want to set the phone's RUIM setting into NV only mode.
Then you can follow any Boost Mobile programming guide to program the phone.
Phone programming is not easy stuff. I should know because I've spent years trying to find out what I know now.
I wish I could help you out more but I'm extremely busy these days. Just do what I would do when you can't figure something out. Google and click on every link that looks like it might relate to your problem. If that doesn't work try rephrasing your question. Keep rephrasing your question until you get an answer.
Thanks

As I see my presumption was 100% correct - nothing Canadian in your handheld.. CID #44 - a typical unbranded Asian model.. That's anyhow not bad at all..
Further I see the smartphone is getting its internal IP what we may interpreter as there is no problem with WiFi hardware, it performs OK..
There is some misconfiguration (misunderstanding) between the handheld and the router.. this is why I advised you to try connecting to some secure AP..
Then If no lack - just do the factory reset on the spot and try connecting again to that secure AP..

Guys please help
My HTC One max cannot connect on the WIFI at my home after I updated to 4.4.2. At first I can connect when I was on 4.3 then I update it and successfully installed. The problem turned out when I reset my phone and suddenly I cannot connect to my WIFI anymore, on my office it can connect and only in my house cannot. Any idea how it can be fixed?
Appreciate and thanks in advance for the help.
Try this - http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.ae/2014/02/how-to-fix-wi-fi-htc-one.html
Open Settings panel and click on the "Wi-Fi" tile
Tap on the "3 dots" menu in the upper right corner
From the list select "Wi-Fi Direct"
You will now see that your device is called "Android_ed2c". Tap on the "3 dots" menu in the upper right corner
From the list select "Rename device"
Replace the "Android_ed2c" with the "HTC One" text and hit "OK" button
Done!

oh mate, you should have s-offed before the update.. we don't have an s-off for hboot 2.49. well i think we don't have a solution for this thing with custom ROM's. been a bug somewhere, the best solution is to re-configure your router.

i am confident that this will be fixed by HTC, this was the the big reason why the updates to kitkat for the original HTC One was delayed and HTC seems to have managed to fix it, atleast for the HTC One. I was thinking that this update would have fixed it and sadly not.
The original HTC one received 4.19.401.8 initially and then later on received 4.19.401.11 which fixed the WiFi issues.
i am hoping that HTC will do the same for the MAX too.
On a second thought, we could try pulling the files from that update and see if that fixes them.
