Hey guys! I am a new member of the sony ericsson family. I just got my LWW 7 days ago. Now the problem is that when I bought my LWW the buttons on top, the lock button and the walkman button were tight. Now after some days of usage the walkman button has become a little loose and when I press the walkman button I can hear the noise(something like "takk") of the button being pushed. It works fine but it's not like when I bought it. Is this normal?

i have a SE mini ST15i. i got same problem. Help please!
tks
I had my unit for two weeks now and so far i've never encountered this problem even though i've been playing a lot of games for more than 30 minutes.
What color and build number are your mini's? You check it out at the back of the unit after you've removed the battery.
mine is 11W31 Mini ST15i Black
Mine got the problem after 2 weeks, mine is 11W29 Mini ST15i Black
i got the same problem too... its really annoying... hope someone wud come out with a solution,,...
So, during the first two weeks your phone was working perfectly. And only after having it more than two weeks then the problem starts?
I had my unit 2 weeks and 2 days now. and have not encountered the back menu malfunction.
Yup i given back to service center and got back with in a day now i was testing it for 3 days since no problem so lets c how it goes later after some days
it may be the overheat problem..... after charging for a couple of hours it happens..
if u dont experience it,, u r lucky...
have a look at this link.. http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/111285#111285
Since I bought the unit I've been charging it overnight before I sleep and so far it doesn't overheat. I've read it in the manual that it was alright to charge it as often as you like.
It seems that the build of the touch pad of this model is defective, just like with their unit the G900 which also had a lot of complaints.

Hi I was wondering if anyone has the same problem as i am having right know.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini pro White SK17I. It was working well untill when i tried to press the back button. I had to wait for so long to get a response from the back button. I tried the same thing with the menu button (Not the physical hone key) it still had the delay. The delay is about 5-10 seconds. Sometimes, you have to wait extremely long or you have to press it again. sometimes it runs normally. But rarely it does work as normally should. I only had the phone for 2 weeks. I was wondering if i can exchange it since i have a 12 Month warranty. thats all the problem I'm having right now
thank you
Me too but not always i discovered that it depends on memory usage.

me too..need to press harder..but not usually like that..most of the time, it works normally.
same here..just to make a point, did you have the noise problem as well?
I have the same problem. I think has to do something with the temperature/humity. If its warm outside and i have sweat on my fingers its happens, when its cold and dry everything works fine. I tested with /dev/event/input and with wet fingers it does not even trigger any events.

I got same problem with my Xperia Mini Pro back key. Every time it happened, I'll just reboot the phone and that problem is gone.

I got this problem right after installing NFS Shift. Now the back key often doesn't work and the Options key is unresponsive.
It is a known issue related with temperature, affecting more and more people every day (including me). SE is not responding, but seems a design problem:

You'll be surprised, but I do not have such problems

I rebooted, but the problem is still there.
my back key is okay, only menu key is unresponsive at all. i think this is because of hardware problem.
i bought it 1 day ago, though. gonna bring my phone to SE service center tomorrow.
Guys I fixed my problem. This guy on facebook had the same problem as I did. He fixed his and so did I. The reason it lags isnt because of the memory usage. Its some other reasons that I dont remember. Anyway, if you guys still need to fix yours, heres how. First you got to have cottons and a screen protector. The Sony one that you get from the box works. You have to apple one TINY drop of soap onto the cotton then wipe it over your display. Make sure you clean the buttons cause thats the priority. Make sure you cover the top bits. After you done that. Get your clean cotton and wipe it to get the soap out. DONT USE WATER. After thats done, make sure there is no string of cotton left in your screen. After you checked, apply the screen protector then its done. I just did mine today and its going well so far. Trust me guys this isnt a trap to break your phone or anything. I trusted this guy that told me the steps and it worked. What I am trying to say is just give it a go. If you did it like I did, I think you should be fine. I love my xperia again hope it works for you guys

I have no back button issues so far. I once had it slowing down but that was related to an application hanging so low memory might be related.
No problems here so far, but it seems like german phones don't have problems at all. Ive been checking amazon ratings all day long but no1 ever mentions problems with the button
Well some people have the problem. I just wanna help them.

Yea thats nice My guess is, some countries get worse quality phones :/
As far i have the phone the back and menu keys work very fine for me, in fact they are very sensitive... and works fast
I had no problems until the update to Android 2.3.4.
Now I can't even play a game for 10 minutes and it presses the back button a lot.
It looks like it can be related to the firmware.
-----------------
I've seen on another site that other people also are facing more heating after update to 2.3.4. Well, since overheating is related to the issue, it may be possible that it is causing the back button issue for me.
Its Due to Memory Blocks aswell
The Problem is mainly due to too much of moisture in your hands...
to get rid of the problem, wipe off your hand of all moisture, and clean your cellphone screen and the buttons with a soft cloth.
And also remember to clean the used memory. usually its both the problems occurring at the same time, due tio which it seems no to be working..
hope it helps
I've had this problem too and I found out that the cause is the sweat from my hands.

I beg to differ, but my German Mini Pro does have the back-button-issue!
Don't know if it's due to sweaty fingers, I'll try one of these capacitive pens some day.
But I can say, as soon as I plug in the power cord, the button is working again.
Hello Guys,
I am having the weird issue of the home button making a clicking noise whenever its pressed at the middle of the button, if pressed at the edges it does not make any sound. The button as such look and feel sturdy.
Is this normal or is it a defect and can be replaced in warranty?
Also the sound can only be heard in a relatively quite room..
Kindly move it if it is not the appropriate thread in this section
Home button does clicking sound on every s3 i quess, so i think it's normal.
Thanks for that jnr21, However i was asking this because, some of my friends reported they do not have any sound coming while pressing the home button though i have not verified it first hand from their device.
I have a clicking sound when pressing the middle hard enough. If i press it on the side and dont use very much force, it still registers as a press, but the button itself doesn't make the click sound. I think its pretty normal considering the construction of the button
Exactly the same thing i am also facing However i have also read elsewhere that for some people it does not make any clicking sound and the device can be replaced in such a case. Any idea about this?
I get this as well always thought utilities was normal, not causing any problems so there's no problems for me

This clicking is news to me. I don't hear any clicking from my S3.
There are reports of rattling too from near the top of the phone. I don't hear any rattles either though.
I think I prefer a non-clicking and non-rattling S3, although some other peeps prefer some clicks and rattles.
I dont have a clicking sound, but a do get a click feel when pushing the button.
The first to days I didnt get any click at all and I wasnt sure when the button was actually pressed.
Evey time I would push the button it would squish down. I was sure that the reason was that the button was too "new" and that it needed to be "broken in". I gave it a few days of use and now the button works perfectly. I get the clicking feeling but no sound.

My first S2 had that issue. Well wouldn't call it an issue, more of an irritant.
The following S2s I've owned after that didn't have the clicking sound. As long as the button works and doesn't get stuck I wouldn't call it a defect.
Well did ur first s2's button went bad after some use?
It's just that I wud have more peace of mind if it dint make any sound....

My home button works wonderfully. Its flush with the phone. Like someone else said, if pressed soft it doesn't make a clicking sound, but if pressed quickly, it will. I don't think every GSIII has exactly the same home button. I also don't think its worth it to return one because it clicks. I mean if its not working thats another story. When mine does make a clicking sound, its noticeable, yet 100% in working order as it should.
Is this normal? I had a Z1 and the buttons to Me where fine, but now the buttons on this new Z2 are sort of hard to press like there not out all of the way.

Hello friends. Need your advice on this.
Since 3rd April.
The bottom half of the screen starts pressing buttons on its own.
The apps open on their own
The back, home and recents button keep pressing on their own.
Then I've got to, with much difficulty, restart the phone and it works fine for a few hours then REPEAT...
* The phone has never fallen down or gotten wet ever.
Only 9 days old.
Thanks
