For anyone who has the device: Does this version of TouchWiz implement folders for homescreens as they are implemented in ICS?
On a Galaxy Nexus and it is nice to drag icons to and from folders directly unlike older version. I could not find a suitable answer after searching. Thank you.
Yes you can create folders on the homescreens and put the icons/apps underneath each folder.
Does it work the same as it does in vanilla ICS? You can drag an icon to another icon and the folder is created automatically. If you drag it out again, the folder disappears.
On older TouchWiz versions folders had to be added manually.
You still have to create then manually I'm afraid.
Also if I reorder the apps within a folder it doesn't retain the new order :-(

Thanks for the info. I think I will install Nova Launcher.

Hello Friends,
Since I can't post on Dev forum, I would like to ask this question here. I would like to create new folders on my home screen and have made quite a few folders already. But would like to create some more folders and would like to use custom icons for these folders.
At this time Wolf's ROM have only 6 ICONS (not complaining Wolf , I really appreciate your work and because of you I love my x10).
Is there any app that would allow me to create or add new custom Icons for the folders.
Desktop visualizer allows to create custom icons for applications but not for folders.
Thanks everyone for help.
If Possible I really don't want to change my Launcher - its using Shiwanta Honeycomb Theme and I love it.

Simi folder widget
Free from the market.
COol, Thank you It works.
Though its not as cool as Original folders created using ROMs functionality, it would still work as I can create folders with custom ICONS.

As to the icons... I don't know if it'll be the same on ICS but here's what I did to pull some ADW icons into Rosie.
Thanks to rileyd5 for instruction to remove text which is how I found out I could change the icons in the same place.
You need Folder Organizer to do it this way.
Then press and hold on your homescreen and select widget.
Select FO Item - Folder Organizer
Choose Apps
Then find the one you want to change the icon of and press on icon.
Then go find the icon you want to change that one to.
Tap on the app and it will be on your desktop. Now you have to replace the one that's already there if there is one.
Unfortunately you have to do one at a time and even if you already have an icon for an app you have to make a new one and replace it, you can't just modify one that's already there.
I'm sure there must be an easier way...

There's a much easier way....visit the Themes section where some great people have painstakingly created icon sets and themes that have a wide variety of looks and functionality.
On the icon replacement there are a ton of apps out there. I suggest desktop visualizer only because there are a million and one icon packs already built for it.
Don't forget UOT Kitchen.

Yeah, I spent HOURS searching through themes one night and the ADW DigitalSoul icons are the ones for me. But I have to have the sense clock I'm using. I did grab desktop visualizer a while ago and never really looked through it... I'll check it out.
Anyway... Don't want to make this thread about me. Well actually I do, but...

It's a fun/good topic to have an open discussion about who uses what and to what benefit it is. I themed as much as I can without tearing apart market apps so that their in app fonts match what I want.

If you don't mind switching ROMs, this is what I did (and I'd suggest this ROM anyway since it's so smooth) in order to get the AOSP notification bar at the top. You can find the thread here where I detailed instructions. Essentially, though, I used Joelz ICS Sense Redefined. I then pushed the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from his Senseless ROM. It works perfectly. I now have a Sense ROM that looks like Senseless. And I did get confirmation from him that it won't break anything since they both use the same framework and System base.
One has to root the device to get to the Google Play Store but once there I installed SwiftKey all ready to copy the files to the system directory only to find, I didn't have to!
Additionally, I don't appear to need to copy the launcher app I am using (ADW Launcher Ex) to the systen/app directory either to get widgets to reload after reboot correctly.
The SystemUI.apk and framework_res.apk files are significantly larger and using the hacks for the status bar alterations cause minor issues elsewhere (with text mainly).
I wonder if it is possible that Barnes and Noble will soon add custom keyboards to the Nook Shop?
Wrong place to post this

I am so sorry, I didn't mean to screw that up.
I have an HTC One M8 (At&T), im rooted with a sense 7 Rom (TWRP Recovery) and i love sense except for one thing... the folders. I just find them to be very ugly (and they do open a little slow but thats unimportant) and i want to change them to have the folder preview as a "line" (where the apps are stacked behind eachother) and a more opaque look. I have already tried Simi Folder and Folder organizer and a few others. I want the look from the stock android lollipop folders, so maybe there is a way to just transfer that setting from a launcher or something? Please help
So, you want the keep HTC launcher ? If not, download GEL then xposed framework, and the XGELs module. Nova and Apex cost money to use folder features. Hope this helps
Does anyone experience a very buddy ui? Apps close all the time etc, didn't think was that bad until I used it..
I am using Google now launcher, but do I get normal icons?
Thanks
People not used to Honor 7 don't know it has added benefit of saving battery by closing down apps in background unless protected. Go into Settings, Protected Apps, and protect the ones you don't want closing, or Protect All if you like.

Download icons herel; https://mega.nz/#!Fsx31RxD!z-curpHUhFxOOZTCHaw4YbzJQpiRhgeuu_Axg_RNgQs
put them in the HWThemes folder on your device.
Then in setting you can change the icons set.
If you want to delete the boxed background from the app icons, then follow these steps:
Download any Root Explorer from Play Store.
Navigate to /system/themes.
Delete file named icons.hwt.
You'll get rid of your icon backgrounds.
Or you can head over to Honor themes & apps subforum to see if you like any custom themes there.
