Im using custom rom miui v4 in expeacer.. what should I do now? should I flash directly in flashtool now? or should I get back to .62 ftf? help me please
Well I'm not an expert or anything but I think that u can flash the ftf file whatever the Rom that u have. Anyone can second that?
The ftf contains the system+kernel. I think that it will work if u flash from custom rom

You don't using nAa kernel right? To use Mini-cm7 2.2.0 you must use naa kernel
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
Like Elwino2.3 said you need to flash the nAa kernel using flashtool.
But before that you need to unlock your bootloader than flash the kernel.
Please re-read the thread carefully where you got the MiniCm7-2.2.0 ROM.
All necessary details are provided.
Don't worry it also happened to me. I got too confident coz i had flashed many other ROM's and so i just flashed the ROM without reading the instruction.
You either use Sony Ericsson Update Service to reset your phone back to the stock sony ericsson rom or you can try to directly flash the kernel.
As for myself i used the Update Service coz i thought that it was more safe.

Better First upgrade to ics. Is your Bootloader unlocked?
Otherwise you will have to use local prop method. Check out my signature there's a rooting guide. In the guide there's how to root 4.1.B.0.431 and there's the Link to DragonClawsAreSharp's great tutorial

my phone is unlocked bootloader
thankyou
If your Bootloader is unlocked you needn't do the procedure in the tutorial, just Flash the ics Firmware ftf via flashtool and Flash a custom ics Kernel, for example rage Kernel for 4.0.4. After that install the custom rom

Just flash it with wipe all, but before do a backup using for example titanium backuü. Wipe all and exclude nothing.
After flashing plug off, let phone turned off, hold volume up and connect to pc, flash a rooted kernel (like I said for example rage kernel for 4.0.4) and boot up. Enable usb debugging and unknown sources and msc mode (not necessary just for sure), push the rom installation zip to sd card and shut down.
Flash the recommend kernel and boot in cwm. See what has to be formatted/wiped and after that install the rom.
Reboot and enjoy

Yes, but .587 isn't released for xperia mini pro and the other devices. Only a few have got the update right now, but if there's a custom rom based on it for your device it should work...
Btw hitting thanks woule be nice

You can't Update until Sony hasn't released it. If your bootloader is Locked you can connect to pc companion and it'll find the Update, but it has to be released First. You will have to wait

Yes, it can be done download the original firmware of your phone and flash it as flashing some custom rom.....
Don't forget to hit thanks
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
yes just find the original firmware .ftf file and flash via flashtool.
Flash Stock Rom .ftf file or restore from Nandroid Backup if u have created one..
But After flashing to stock.. Root will go..
If u restore from Nandroid backup.. U will retain your root

Download the .ftf file for your particular device from above thread... And then just flash the downloaded file by flashtool...
You will loose your root (bootloader will remain unlocked if you unlocked it previously)
press thanks if I helped you

do you has lock or unlock bootloader.. just wanted to know..
Hi I think I noobed up my phone and could really use some guidance...
Coming from CM9.1 to Stock based ROM.
I flashed global stock kernel .54 using flashtool...powered up my phone by mistake CM9 boot logo comes up, optimizes applications (only 6), then I get Message "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped." and the only thing I can do is hard reset and go through same process..CWM is gone..can't enter fast/flash boot mode...Only thing I can think of is to wait for power to die and try to enter fastboot...but not sure if it's good to try with dead battery...
What should I do
Well managed to get into flashmode just by timing the hard reset and connecting phone with volume down at correct time^^
Dude, if you come from CM to stock and you flashed stock you shouldnt have cwm and CM logo...
Put 54 stock rom in Flashtool/firmwares
Go to Flashtool, select the Tunder Icon and select flashmode, when prompted connect your Switched Off phone with vol up button and thats it.
CM and CWM will be gone.
I want to ask if one is coming frm cm9 to stock v only hv to flash the stock ftf!!
What about the kernel???
I m confused plzz help!!

Stock kernel is included in stock rom, so its enough to flash rom via flashtool.
Friend i need to know can all rom b flash without flashtool
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
If you're trying to flash a stock ROM, then you'll need flashtool. That's the only way. But, if you have CWM installed, then you could download ROMs like No Sh*t or Terrarom which is stock based but standalone [doesn't require install of stock ROM].
You can then install CM9 by flashing the kernel through fastboot and then installing it over NS or Terrarom.
