Yellow tint disappearing over time - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I had the yellow tint on the two sides of the screen, like a line from top to the bottom, for over a month. They appeared 2 months after I bought the phone. Frankly, I didn't bother much, and some time later, another one appeared horizontally at the bottom, too. And they were very visible, even at around 35°.
Well, here's the good news. The two very bold vertical lines on the two sides disappeared since the last few days almost completely. Only the bottom one remained. I now expect it to disappear in the coming days.
Happened to anyone else?

I noticed the same thing...
Had yellow tint on the bottom of screen but now its kinda disappearing. .

99% same tint region here for the last 3 months.
I just sent my SXS for service 2 days ago, eagerly waiting for it to be ready.

Tint only shows up when the phone is warm and is more noticeable the warmer it gets for me.

It is just glue, so it's normal that it evaporates over time. The more you use the phone, the faster it should be gone. I've had a small yellow patch on my device, but it's almost gone now and I don't really overheat it so I don't care.
Edit: Another +1 karma for Sony in my eyes. The iPhone 4 and the SGS2 had those problems too and the only answer was ' wait for it to disappear '.

U sure its gleu..?
Or is it just an "coverup" story.

My yellow spot developed quite late. Haven't returned the phone yet cos my carrier, three UK, are being dicks.
Anyway, mine seem to be fading too
Sent from my XperiaS via subspace beacon.

I'm going into phones4u today to see about getting it replaced, as sony has confirmed they'll replace any problem fones for new, so hopefully they'll swap it in the shop

I've just noticed a yellow tint on the bottom of my screen. Thought it was when I left my phone in the sun.

After 3 months... Still the same ...

This tint thing is pretty freaky in general it seems. Yesterday afternoon it was pretty visible at the bottom of the screen, now 10 hours later it's not visible at all. I hope this is right that it disappears over time, I don't want to give my phone up for repairs.
Sent from the Delta Quadrant using a transwarp conduit.

It shows up when the phone gets hotter and becomes less visible when it cool down.
However, as mentioned before, it's a glue issue, and after some unknown counts of weeks, it's probable that it disappears completely, hopefully forever.

My XS is almost 2 months old.. so far no tint or anything... bought it from carphonewarehouse in Dublin.... Here release was it late so i hope this issue was for those earlier models...

Mine just appeared few days ago as well, and my phone gets serious usage, so hopefully it will go over time. As I would have to post my phone over and my last one sent got " lost" in the post.

I highly doubt it will go away.
And you dont have to send it. Go to Fonfix in Sandyford and they'll do the warranty repair in house. The bastards charge €15 in a fee though despite a warranty repair being meant to be free.

[Q] Home button coming lose. [SGS2]

Hi guys,
I've noticed over the past few weeks that the hard button (home button) has been coming a bit lose on the right side.
It tends to make a squeaking sound when touched lightly however the button functions at 100%.
Anyone else notice the home button loosening a bit?
Some GS2s have firm and some have loose home button, so no need to panic as long as it works.
Apply a little pressure to the right side of the button. Does it eventually click in place? So that you no more have a loose button?

I had this, i sent it for repair which fixed it. However, 2 weeks later its loose again.

Definitely - I mean look at the statistics. There's over 6,000,000 of these things in circulation and there's 2 people on this thread with the same problem! Samsung should get their act together.
This is utterly disgusting

i feel like i got the same thing on my s2
the button is not loose but it moves in place; hardly distinguishable though unless you use a magnifying glass
many reported having light leaking on the sides of the button, i don't have that,
i don't know if i should be happy or
phone is overall fine, its the closest you can get to perfect, with the exception of some varying degree of yellow tint, which i know will be resolved when the official 2.3.4/.5 rom release in my region.
other than that, handle with care, lol.
is it normal for there to be some flexibility when touching the home button, or is the home button suppose to stay in one place? I noticed that the home button moves around its housing a bit (i dont know if this is the right word to use)
if you get too picky about it you can sometimes hear a a minuscule squeak, but when pressing from an extreme corner.
let me know
I had this also but I was able to snap it back...

lifting screen corner?

Is anyone else having issues with the screen corners lifting? My top right corner is no longer flush. I can push it back down, but it lifts back up.
I'm on the waiting list at BB to get a replacement, but I thought I'd check to see how the build quality on other EVOs is as well.

The quality build of the phone appear to be great. With the amount of phones going around for the past 2 days, any "quality build" threads look to be minimum.

I also have a crack, and i never dropped my phone
I have the exact issue at the exact same spot. Found the crack a few hours after opening the package. Sent my phone back to Expansys. I will get the replacement today and hopefully the new one doesn't have this crack.
In a Portuguese forum I've seen 2 or 3 guys with cracked bezel. They bought from expansys.
Disappointed!
Ouch!!!!!
Please nooo!! Not another manufacturer flaw!! I escaped from a Sony Xperia S (famous yellow tint on bottom of screen).
I could live with a modifiable software glitch but not that!!
Glad i don't have one of those!
hopefully any type of design flaws will be ironed out by the time they launch here in the states. that is not good, though.

Exactly. My note has them too, those are normal.
But the cracks that we see above they are not normal.
I hope that mine arrives with 0 problem. I hate to replace my phones. Specially the expensive ones. Don't like to see a expensive thing with faults.
It certainly would appear to be an issue. I just hope they came with the crack, and not that they develop over time.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
I'm not talking about those. There are two cracks by the volume rocker, one almost not visible between the rocker and the screen, the other is about a 1cm down and much more visible. There is no looseness there so not too bothered.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Dear,
I also have the same CRACK at same LOCATION near the volume rocker!
Something about the curved screen perhaps?
I had the exact same problem on my s2 before I bought this, I had 6 cracks on three sides of the phone, never dropped or looked after poorly. Kept in a case in my front pocket with nothing else. Samsung didn't want to know about it either. Said I must have dropped it.
Hope this doesn't happen to this too. Will be the last Samsung I buy if it does.

Seppuku (切腹?, "stomach-cutting") is a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. Seppuku was originally reserved only for samurai. Part of the samurai bushido honor code, seppuku was either used voluntarily by samurai to die with honor rather than fall into the hands of their enemies (and likely suffer torture), or as a form of capital punishment for samurai who had committed serious offenses, or performed for other reasons that had brought shame to them. The ceremonial disembowelment, which is usually part of a more elaborate ritual and performed in front of spectators, consists of plunging a short blade, traditionally a tantō, into the abdomen and moving the blade from left to right in a slicing motion.[1]

Not if done properly. There was always someone there to perform a decapitation right after the motion was performed. If done correctly there would be just enough skin left so that the head was still attached, just hanging like a flap.

This sounsd an awful lot like the SDS issue.
I thought my phone nuked itself once too. In a situation very similar to the one you describe. I plugged it in one night, fell asleep, and woke up late for work because my alarm didn't go off. I grabbed my phone and it was scary hot (like, melted electronics hot) so I unplugged it, pulled the battery and left it to sit and cool.
Turns out I had left GTA running all night so it had my processor and graphics ramped up all the way. Whoops : / I thought it was toast, but everything worked fine after it cooled
I'm gonna go crack a beer and pour a little out for yer homie!

Screen Just Shows Multicolored Pixels

Hello Everyone. Well, I just found out that my 16 month old son is tall enough to reach up and blindly fish for things on the edge of my kitchen counters. I heard him laughing and banging something against the linoleum floor, so I went to investigate. That something was my phone, which was just previously on the edge of the counter. I recovered my phone and replaced it with his old cricket phone that we gave him to play with. I inspected the phone, and there were no cracks, dents, or any other physical damage. The buttons, touchscreen, speaker, and everything else worked. My phone worked liked normal, so I didn't think anything else of it.
Two days later, something funny happened. I turned on my screen, and it just showed a screen full of multicolored pixels. I plugged my phone into the charger, and the screen returned to normal. This started happening more frequently, and I would just turn my screen off and on until it returned to normal. Two days after the first incident, the screen now permanently displays the full screen of multicolored pixels. Nothing I do will correct it. Every single other aspect of the phone works correctly, even the touchscreen.
So, I am here hoping you guys can help me figure out what is wrong. I can take the phone completely apart and fix or replace a part that is broken. What do you guys thing is wrong or broken?
Here is a picture of what my phone displays.

it is a known issue, and especially not uncommon after drops. mine just started doing it intermittently. the thread below is one that I was actually just reading before popping over here and noticing this thread.
I'm debating between taking it in right now (and risking them giving me trouble because of rooting) or just waiting until the screen stays static and then taking it in.
