What would they use it for? Why would you want to do that anyway? Do you want to give out your IMEI and other phone hardware information to someone else in another country? I think that it would be a bad idea. Especially since it may mess up the phone that they attempt to use it on if the IMEI, bluetooth mac address, etc doesn't match up.
Why wouldn't they use their own imei
They were using the gingerbread rom and it got deleted. He's asking for mine, but I don't want to give.. I'm telling him its a bad idea for me to give it to him, and he said nothing's can go wrong.. but sorry I'm not comfortable giving out my IMEI number. Not safe at all

Does your imei show up places besides the one file named imei?
Not for sure

So you're essentially asking for an app that can break into (someone else's) secured wireless network, am I correct ?
Illegal here in the UK. The answer is no.
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1990/18/contents
Exactly Rizur. Illegal, immoral, just plain wrong. I asked the question to see if the OP had the nerve to clarify.
Edit - From the forum rules:

Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things that will obviously lead to legal trouble.
"Illegal, immoral, just plain wrong."
Bang on the money with that one mate!
why wouldn't you just use the 3G data that came with your phone plan? or get yourself internet connection and wifi router?

answer to your question is yes, there is an application.
but it is illegal to use and no links will be given.

hey, I'm not sure if this has been posted before and I've been searching the internet and not found an answer...
Well I've recently downloaded an app called Network Spoofer (you can rick roll people and stuff who use the same wifi) and I was wondering if I tried this in starbucks or maybe mcdonalds. Can anyone trace/track me and find out it was me who's rick rolling people? I heard something like they can track using MAC addresses but I'm unsure...

Yup they can find you using mac address
mac id is stored in Samsung database
And all details about every Samsung phone sold is also maintained in the database
...so change your mac address before doing any kinda hack(don't ask me how)
though i doubt the app will work
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
So they can track where I am with this address?
Was fooling around with it and it works for now! However if I find out how to change MAC idk if itll work

Yup they can using mac id to track you down
Once they get mac id corresponding imei is obtained
Once imei is obtained they can find your location in seconds using mobile network cause your imei is number is registered to your network provider
Though i doubt anyone will track you like this for rick rolling people

Ah..
Sorry to ask again but i have 2 more questions :')
Does my MAC address get saved at all? So say I wanted to go to starbucks and do it just on a few mates then disconnect. Will they still have it saved that I've done something?
And secondly how do they know my MAC is a samsung in the first place so they know to ask samsung for my imei?

Sorry I wasn't sure whether to bump the old thread or make a new one, I have found a temporary solution (credit to ☁.ws/):
1. Type "su" into terminal
1. Turn off WiFi
2. Turn on WiFi
3. Wait 500ms
4. Type "busybox ifconfig wlan0 hw ether 00:11:22:33:44:55" into terminal (replace 00:11:22:33:44:55 with desired mac)
Important: If you wait even for a complete second, It won't work
I saw this thread before, I guess my timing wasn't right then, but this is working now (confirmed on Cyanogenmod 10, Android 4.1.2)
to check if it worked just run netcfg
** This will reset if you reboot or turn off wifi **

English is a wonderful language. If I had said "if you *had* done..." that would have meant that I didn't believe you had done the research. But by saying "if you *have* done..." then I'm saying you have done your research and, in the process of it, you would have come across the information.
So, no criticism was made, nor intended.

I misinterpreted the "you have" for "you did" because you said "if" before, you're implying if I did something, or if I did not.

Hi Guys...
I'm sorry for posting here such a question but i couldn't find anything around the web to answer my question. and i'm very desperate to find an answer cause it's a matter of life or death nowadays in my country (Syria).
recently tor (orbot) and all VPN services was shut down by the government to ensure more internet censorship and i wasn't able to find any alternatives for my PC except Ultrasurf although it's not very secure. but surprisingly i found a VPN service for android called Fearless Mobility VPN Which was the only VPN service that is still working.
So my question is... what's the difference between Fearless Mobility VPN and other VPN services i.e Hotspot Shield that enabled it to work after blocking all other VPN< is it a Protocol related issue? and can you suggest other services VPN similar to Fearless Mobility or HTTPS for PC or android?
many thanx in advance for your help and my apologies to the moderators again for posting here..
