Things you need to download before we start with the tutorial:
A Xperia Ray and a Sdcard with atleast 2GB free space
Root permissions
Debian.img - Download
Bootscript - Download
Terminal Emulator - Download
VNC Viewer - Download
1. The first thing you are gonna do is to extract all the download files and copy them to a folder named debian on the root your sdcard.
2. Then you are gonna unplug the usbcable and start terminal emulator on the phone. Then you should type:
su
cd /sdcard/debian
sh debian.sh
3. After you have runned that command you should select your screen resolution and set it as default in the script that runs in the terminal emulator .
4. After doing that, you need to open the VNC client on your phone that youve downloaded earlier. In the connectio boxes you should typ in:
IP: 127.0.0.1
Port: 5900
Password: debian
Then just press the connect button and you should be able to see the debian desktop.
If you want to stop debian, just open the terminal emulator and type exit.

Yes, you can "run" ubuntu instead of debian. Get the ubuntu installer from the play store and it works just like the debian one. I used jj v 2.5 and sirkay xray v7 for this and I got rid of all my extraneous apps...so I had almost 300 mb free RAM. It lags beyond belief, but everything I tried worked (eventually). I think you need at least 2.5 Gb free on your sdcard....
The linux was a little bit disappointing....but the vnc is super cool!
I got connection refused error when I try to connect with vnc client.I staterted the script succesfully but I got eth0 no such a dvice error and also vnc ip is empty

Interesting
Desperately waiting for the download. Would you please describe installation procedure etc ?
hoping for magldr!
eagerly waiting....but not as eager about putting crapp WinMo back on this phone... please make for magldr...almost forgot how bad WinMo is compared to android......ha but this looks pretty sweet!!
will this rom have support for flash at all??......and what about netflix?......those are some of my favorite features about android.
thanks for all your work isaiah!
hopefully a brand new thing and not a themed ubuntu
rolling rock and rolling papers.............
I also hope that it can run on SD since I'm running NAND android. Still waiting on the upload... or maybe you can make it a .torrent file? I can seed that
torrents!
yes it would be nice to see more torrents up here....
especially for the larger ones like this and the sense roms
currently on nexus V2.9 but missing the tablet tweaks
hyperdroid 2.1.0 shout out and
...........thumbs up for torrents
If you can not get it to work on magldr, then atleast can you have it work by booting into it with sd android like ubuntu 10.10. There could be a problem with magldr and linux kernels. No touchscreen, wifi , or data.
ok upload is up and here is torrent.

Hi all, i have been using this app from quite a few days. So i thought i could share. Its useful for the students learning turbo c++. I am sorry if everyone knows this. we can actually run turbo c++ and old pc games in andosbox emulator which is a x86 emulator in our android phone. Its a best dosbox emulator by far. Its same as Dosbox emulator for windows7. Turbo c++ cannot be run in windows 7. Using Dosbox we can run turbo c++ in windows 7 too.

Technically you can use it now. Just use the 'your own kernel' option. I only said about removing the built in ones because people are stupid and try flash them to the wrong device then blame the developer for it

I tried doing that and it all seemed as if it had worked alright. My device then rebooted and I realised it hadn't actually done anything :/
Did you rename your kernel correctly (caps etc) as it probably needs to be exact and in the same folder as the built in ones I'd guess?

My script use these commands:
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash boot kernel.elf
If your phone reboots without installing the new kernel may be that "adb reboot-bootloader" dosn't turn your phone in fastboot mode.... can you try this command separately? it restarts your phone in fastboot mode? thanks!

We're asking because I have the Xperia S so it's not the specific device and although it should work, we can't get it to work for some reason.

I haven't xpera S so I don't know which commands do you need.....
Try to run this command "adb reboot-bootloader" (in the folder with adb and fastboot binaries)
If your phone restart in fastboot mode you have to run this: "fastboot flash boot kernel.elf"
does it work?

I'm curious to know if you guys are looking at doing this without VNC? I haven't found much, but here's a video of someone who seems to have figured it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxats9ejrG0
I'm hopeful that as the Ubuntu phone/tablet projects progress, we'll get some useful bits from them, since they're currently built on top of CM10.1.

It will be ready soon
Please respect XDA's prime rule do not ask for ETA's
I am unsure when I will have free time to work on the project so time frames are impossible however it is the second thing on my list so should be soon

you can change it in the .config file located where your backtrack image is located.

Android Wear APK Tools:
A GUI application which allows you to install any APK straight to your watch (via adb) or uninstall any non-protected package directly. Much more convenient than doing it through the adb command line.

Apps that work and are actually uesufll IMHO:
-terminal emulator
-qqplayer (warning, sideloading any video player will break wear mini launcher if you use that, contacted the developer and hoping he will fix it)
-MiXplorer (not in play store, from xda, crashes on exit but otherwise works great, much easier to use as a file explorer than es file explorer because it has list view
-es file explorer (I use it for the music player, text editor and to install apps in one click-can only be done with root-because it is kinda hard to install apps via terminal)
-astro bluetooth module (read my guide thread in the general forum if you want to find out what I use it for, might also help you
Also you can try apps but they will most probably not work if they use any kind of holo theme because AFAIK wear has holo removed.
Thanks for the great tool.
FYI, PerfMon works great.:good:

Same here...the LOG says: IndexError: list index out of range
@DaRusko
yeah i don't know how adb works so this app would be cool. guess i will need to find a thread where they explain how to push apps to watch
@nagasgura
Hey any updates? It won't do any thing. I just rooted my watch unlocked. And your app won't find watch or conect. Im to lazy to use adb. It isnt to hard but a app is easier

That means what? (bit of a noob in script things i mostly use tools for things, it isnt hard if some one makes a tutorial but without i don't understand most of it)
google doesnt help much explainig what adb environement path is...
its not working
I got the tool to work. Tho I used it to push minuum keyboard apk to my watch. but i then used adb in cmd to do the rest of the installation, so yea might as well started there. But now that I have this tool working I can easily push other apk's in the future.
follow this tutorial.

After you extract the zip, then you extract the Android-Wear-APK-Tools zip. Inside the same folder that contains the AndroidWearAPKTools.exe, copy and paste the adb files which I uploaded to my dropbox here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fztjfh3qq5bftlc/Android-Wear-APK-Tools-adb-files.rar?dl=0
After that it will connect to your watch every time.
