i have alot of unwanted file in the window folder , ive tried to delete them but it won't let me ..i've tried total commander and that didn't work too....can someone help ...thanks.
when you say "wont let you" what exactly happens, are you getting any error messages at all?
it just said file cannot be deleted.....
easiest way to delete windows files is through activesync to the computer.

Two questions:
Is there a directory of preloaded programs on the Dell Streak (from AT&T) so that you can find them in the root directory, and delete them?
Second, which is the best app for deleting them (and file management)?
I am used to WM6.5, and Resco Explorer on that OS was just like Windows Explorer, very easy to use, drag and drop, nested folders, etc.

I used App Delete from the market. Hit the menu key to show system apps. Give it a try.
P.S. Be sure to install BysyBox first.

Removing those APKs recovered about 60mb of space as well as eliminating some startup time.

The only thing it couldn't delete is the youtube app. It deletes it, then it reappears....
Hi, I am student from University would like to ask do you know how I can start this task that I gave myself to complete.
list all permissions, check against database of what permissions should be for those applications and flag up if any installed app has more permissions than it should.
I know, application permission is located in the manifest.xml, but if i use ADB method to list all the permissions, I cannot find a method to list all the permission that belongs to one app only. I would like to check and compare to see if any of the installed application has more permission than it should be.
Any help would be appreciated, as I am just learning.

If you are rooted copy the folder of greenify where the apk is located and paste it in system/priv-app folder. Dont forget to change the permission of the folder and apk.
