I was wondering if there is a way to disable the touch buttons on the bottom of the phone. I'm using the AOKP rom and I would prefer to use the onscreen buttons that you can enable in the rom settings.
I hope so. -__-

Hi,
When i disable the feedback for the keypad, it seems to disable for the 4 keys (menu, home, back and search) as well. I love to have haptic feedback for the four buttons on vibrant. Is there any way to enable the feedback for the buttons only?
thanks

I miss having the option to light the touch keys only in the dark. Anybody know if there are any mods to get this option back in ICS?

Is there anyway that i can turn the jeybiard vibration off but the capacitive buttons vibration are on?
Without flashing a custom rom

I believe there is a setting for that. If you go to settings > input and language and select the keyboard you use, there should be a setting to turn off haptic feedback/disable vibration.

You can use an app like Root Explorer to do it. Open the app and scroll down to the file that says 'sys', then scroll down to the 'class' file. Then choose 'Leds', then 'button backlight'. You'll see a list of files, including one that says 'brightness'. Long-press the file, then select the option to open in text editor. Change the value to '0' then hit the menu, save changes and exit. There's also an option in kernel tuner to turn the capacitive button lights off, as well.
