Hey everyone my phone,vibrant, dyes so quicly i asked a member of xda to tell me what to do and he told me to download the kernel TIGERS BLOOD nd yea it kinda worked but what i've noticed was that my phones dies fast in the mornin but when the afternoon comes my fones battery life lasts for the rest of the day with only 39% of battery life.. so is there something wrong with my phone or why does it dues so fast in tye mornin???
Try turning off wifi, GPS, and turning screen brightness down when not in use. Also try setting sync intervals for appear at higher times ex: twitter =30 min atleast or Facebook = 1 hr

Yea thats wt i do.. i flashed the rom TRIGGER and i do turn off my gps nd wifi nd when im not using it i jst leave it alone nd keep it on my pocket nd the battery drains by one digit every 3 minutes and the only wag my phone doesnt die so quickly its when i put it on flight mode....
Download the "watchdog" apply which displays what apply is taking up battery

I'm lucky if my battery lasts half the day. I checked Battery Usage and Cell Standby is at 65%! I'm assuming that this is abnormally high.. My previous Optimus T broke and I just got a replacement sent about a month ago. Before the first one broke, the battery would run all day, and this is the same battery that powered my first phone. I've tried running the battery dead multiple times, but it did nothing.
Any suggestions?

Use better battery stats .. and check wat is really using ur battery.. if ur ina low signal area then standby will be the highest

I'll check that out.. The signal in my apartment can be crappy at times, but it's the same place the my first Optimus resided; it had great battery left. Is it possible that I was sent a messed up replacement phone?
Well, the only thing you can do is set your network to 2G or leave it to airplane mode when you are not using it. Other than that you can't do anything about it.
My fone shifts rapidlybetween 3G and H+ .. can this be s possible cause of the crazy battery drain.. hardly get 4 hoirs screen time with minimum brightness and evryothr thng off.. thanks in advance..

Just so you know 4 hours screen on time isnt bad at all. It also depends how long your phone has been on and if your phone is going to deep sleep, etc.
How long do you go without a charge?

H stands for HSPA which is basically enhanced 3G speed. Whenever the phone can connect to network with higher speed, it will show H+, otherwise 3G. You can't turn it off. You can only turn off 3G completely and go to 2.5G (EDGE).

Without charge lasts btwn 9 to 12 hours.. varies.. the scren on time people reporting here is almost 6 hours smtimes even more..

That's not actually terrible from what I am seeing. That being said, the best bet would be to see if your phone is going to deep sleep. As a previous posted mentioned H+ is just better 3G so there isn't much you can do about that but you may be able to see what is eating your battery and what, if anything, is keeping your phone awake when you aren't using it.
Yeaah.. m gonna go for a factory reset.. maybe its some app csusing the wakelocks.. how much usage are u gettin bro??

I tend to not have heavy usage so it depends but anywhere from 2-4 hours screen on over like two days.
Also depends what kernel I am running and that
M unrooted.. i guess my expctatns were on the higher side regardn the battery.. wts imp z screen time.. guess 5 hrz is average..

If your phone keeps changing between 3G and HSPA every few seconds there are 2 common reasons:
- the cells are playing ping-pong with you. This usually happens in crowded areas when the antennas are overloaded. You can check by using e.g. Network Signal Info app and watching the CID. Does it change every time it falls back to 3G?
- your phone attemps to go to fast-dormancy but there is an issue and your state is lost. This usually happens if you have incorrect fast dormancy values or the provider doesn't support it/ the support is broken.
I have optimax v2.0 ROM along with kappa kernel v1.6 installed on my lww..
My phone battery went dead recently and then my phone shuts down when I have 11% or 12% battery remaining...
Sometimes the charging profile shows a immediate change..like suddenly 52% battery from 35% then 65% from 55%..:what:
I have tried wiping battery stats and all methods for recalibration..
The phone gets stuck at 76% charging..it shows AC power connected but 76% for half an hour
I usually overclock my phone @1.2 or 1.4GHz..could this be a reason for this...?..
My phone temp also remains a bit high I think around 40-50 deg C..is it bad..?

i have exactly a same prob...the battery calibration has messed up...u can do tgis method.
1.completely drain off the battery
2.enter cwm.and wipe the battery's stat.
3.turn off the phone(mostly our cwm doesn't hve turn off option..in my case..i just pull out the battery)and do a offline charging..leave it overnight.
4.turn on the phone(when green led came out)unplugged the charger..leave it about 20 minutes.it call a bump charging.plug it back..it should calibrated itself
i dont hve found a solid solution yet..but this method work for me..and dun want be responsible if any battery explode.phone disappearing..and any kind of self destruction activity..this is only my suggeation..xD
forget to mention you that this method dun 100% solve this prob..but its getting better from 16%>0% drop..and now 4%>0% drop..but its sometimes random...its been a week to finding a solid solution for this jerk..
i have to collect more information..this is not easy fix-like just wipe batterystats.bin and done..i hve read an article that wiping batterystats dun solve anything..(but i wiped batterystat too)..but it help a bit..
some prople says dis is not a big deal..but for me.its so annoying.:banghead:

Wiping battery stats has no effect.
1.Battery 1 year old
2.1-2 times a week
3.rarely..once in 2 weeks or so..
4.I used to flash frequently like 6-7 times a week..but for the past 2 months...I found a rom and kernel that suits me..
5.discharging i think..I flash using cwm not flashtool...
6.rarely..once in a 3 weeks..
7.should be around 35-40 deg C at times it touches
50 deg C,when I use it heavily..too many apps along with charging..
Btw the battery % is fine now,I stopped oc,now at stock speed..I drained it completely a few times and charged it without interruption..then problem disappeared..

nice to know that ur prob is solved..yeahh..wiping battery stat dun makr anything at all...ur phone should calibrated itself..
but my problem is getting worse..i mean..BAD..maybe my battery really in badAss condt.

Friends, I am using l9 p765 and its been two months I have bought this phone. It takes minimum 100 minutes for me to charge this phone to full 100 percent ((this is when don't user the phone and simply charge the phone )) and when I play some games the phone doesn't even get charged , instead the battery charge even decreases sometimes, .. Can anyone help me ? Is this normal with all LG l9 phones,, please share ur ideas

I have tried different battery saver apps and also tried charging in different power sources, my phone still charges inn the same manner,, please share ur phone charging time and any ideas to solve this problem

100 minutes charging time are normal for this phone. The charging current is limited to 800mA which is not really high. I think this is already fast enough. The energy consumption is very high. It is possible to have percent drop but not at rate without plug in. Also the CPU omapp4430 have thermal protection to prevent over-hearting. The charging current will be lower when it is being charged more than certain value. If you are smart enough, you can try to edit the thermal protection. Good luck.
Don't forget the battery capacity - it is quite big, so 100 min is fast enough. I wouldn't try to edit the thermal protection - you may as well damage the phone. As for the games that you play - I guess it is something with cool graphics, so the battery goes low fast.
Thanks because I feared I thought I was cheated with a defective phone. But still I have many worries.. my battery drains too fast,, I have tried many battery saver apps.. But none of them help really.. I have uninstalled Facebook and use must of the social apps only by browser.. for example, a 100 percent battery drains in less than 5 hours, of which I would use internet based apps for 2 hours and the remaining time I would just check mail and whatsapp my data will be connected those 5 hours.. is this normal too ? Because galaxy phones with similar 2100Mah batteries last atleast 2 more hours than my phone. I am using a unrooted phone and I am unfamiliar with wakelocks. Should I replace my battery ? It's just a 2 month old phone.. , my friends say reinstalling the phone's software might help.. But I want to get an idea from u all before I can do anything.. Just help me with this too please

Noo. As u said I won't change anything in the phone until my warranty period, I didn't even root my phone because of my warranty.. I am not a techie like most of u guys here.. But I hope ur ideas can help non techie guys like me.. so please help me with a solution, is there any good battery saver application? Or is there anything I should do with the settings? I never use WiFi , Bluetooth, or gprs, my phone brightness is below 35 percent all the time, I just keep my data switched on all the time.. Just please share ur ideas friends

The first thing that comes to my mind is trying the hard reset. After doing that, delete or turn off all the unnacessary apps(settings - apps), as you've mentioned, disable the functions you don't use(gps and so on). I don't think that any of the battery savers really help - I never really saw any positive effect of them. Just use the default app(settings - battery saving). If you use only mobile internet connection and it is wcda only, then make sure you switch to wcda mode only - it also helps save the battery.
Try to use 2g network more often than 3g. If possible, root your phone and delete MLT.apk, it is a major consumer of battery on stock rom. Also the brightness should be kept below 50 for optimal battery life.

now first of all ,are you too lazy to switch off wifi etc by notification bar ..? if not then battery saver and antivirus apps are just waste of battery
second ,your charging Jack maybe faulty ,I had similar issue ,after replacement my battery lasts for 10 hours( full wifI and big time shadowgun deadzone playa)

Friend, as I mentioned I never switch on my WiFi, yes I will check with the dealer for sure.. but my residence is too far from the city so I am searching for any other ways I could save my battery, thank u for ur advice, If none of the methods help, then it will be time to shove the phone on the dealers face
