[Q] Evo 4g Lte apps - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Does anyone know what the apps are called in this commercial or if they even really do exist, seems to good to be true.

I don't know, but that was cool. I hope someone knows what apps these are. I want to try them out.

My Piano is one of them, never seen the others before. Shouldn't be hard to find though.

Looks like the one with the pads is iMusicbox.

The camera app.
Sent from my EVO using XDA

I tried to find them as best I could from Market images. Used the assumption that most of them would be paid apps...I think I was right.
The first app (the Metronome) looks like Musical Pro
The piano could be the same app.
The guitar .. looked at a ton of them on market but couldnt find any that had a similar image. On the plus side, there are a lot of good apps that allow you to "play" a guitar on them.
The mixer looking one is Electrum Drum Machine
Using finger to make a sound was Plasma Sound HD
And of course, the built in camera app using smile detection, the continuous shot and video recorder.
I'm not sure what the others were...couldn't get a solid look to determine if they were actually different apps or not.

What do you use the pen for?

So, I got to play with this at best buy and I must admit, if I had 300$ to spend I might have left 300$ there at best buy and walked out with it.
This tablet was the most fun I've ever had playing on a tablet. I wasn't impressed by ipad, the galaxy s tab was cool, but not really "eye catching" in terms of being worth the price..
This sucker was smooth though.. it ran really, really smoothly. It was probably one of the coolest things I've seen.
The weird part is that I really had trouble finding a logical use for the pen. It is always nice to get more for what your purchase, but I am having trouble finding practical uses for it. I am sure if I got one I would think of more uses after the fact.
A few times I've used it to take notes. But mostly, I use it to show my friends how much better my tablet is compared to theirs. I think the latter is what HTC was going for.
I use it to quickly mark up power points and presentation notes when I do reviews at work.
So far I haven't found a use for it. Taking notes on the tablet does not appeal to me nor does drawing on screenshots.
I use it whenever I need a paper to write something on. Paperless for me. Only print it out when I really need it. Environmental friendly as well

I use it to takes notes in my classes. I find the notes mobile app much easier to take notes with compared to the HTC notes app. Plus with honeycomb you can use the pen all throughout the tablet as apposed to only taking screenshots on gingerbread

I use it @ work (IT) for taking notes, since we are trying to go "green" in the office, it's my "see here ya go I'm going green"...and hopefully this means that work will reimburse me for it.
I never even thought about the possibilities involving roms.
Could be loads of fun.
Hm... wonder if ICS will have anything special for pen based tabs...
I design and manufacture parts for the auto racing industry.
I use the Flyers camera to take a photo of the area I’m working on then, note the dimension on the pic with the pen.
If need be I can take several shots from different angles.
I then return to my workstation’s cad program and I have all my info at hand.
It really helps me to visualize the part I’m working on.
For making a usable quick sketch and markups. I was surprised how much I started to markup screen shots of Web pages once I got used to the idea.

I got the pen just because it was on sale for 39.99 and I had a 10 dollar reward certificate. I'm not really sure how much I'll use it but hope with the upgrade it'll be more useful.

Make notes when reading eBooks.
Take a picture of office maps (fire routes work great) then mark them up for new network drops and whatnot.
I've started using it in place of anything I'd have used a paper notepad for. Extra cool that the notes are ocr'd and searchable.
Maybe one day I'll get around to drawing up plot diagrams, creating story arcs, and writing a book... Too busy for that right now though.
I use it to take notes. My daughter uses it for notes and to annotate her books for her English class using the reader that came installed on the flyer.
Everything. I am a recruiter for a consulting firm and take notes on my conversations with candidates - been using evernote for a few years so its a virtual database of people now. Also in grad school and use it to mark up powerpoints and sometimes record audio or the cam to capture diagrams on whiteboards. Used it at a family get together to find a pizza place with Google maps, pull up the menu, and write down (on the menu screenshot) our complete order - easily placed the correct orders and people were like "that is awesome". A life saving feature is accessing my home machine via logmein as well. I love this thing.

Same here. I've heard a lot of good things were going to open up with the HC upgrade. I hope I'm not disappointed.

I use it for my business and for note reason when I go on the road to sale insurance. I bring the terms and all up and underline the keypoints.

The deciding App (Music making)

Hey guys, right, I've not bought a Prime yet (purely because every store in the UK is empty since everyone keeps getting their prime replaced i guess)
Anyway, can someone please tell me if this app works well on the Prime.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.singlecellsoftware.caustic
basically it's a music maker. It works very well on my Sensation XE however I'm not quite sure if it's ICS capable yet. It's free, so if someone can just check it out and let me know if it works, I'll be pre ordering the Prime straight away since apps like this are the main reason i want/need a tablet.
ps. I am in no way affiliated with the developer and I'm not trying to endorse this app for financial gain (it's free anyway), however I do think it's worth checking out if you like making songs on the go. here's a promo vid of it, if anyone's interested

If you want something thats actually designed for tablets then try this instead:

That's more of a mixer app. Can't actually make original music from it. The app that op linked is a drum machine/synthesizer. Can make actual beats/music with it. MOST powerful one out there at the moment.
@ayman07 - different type of music app mate.
"Caustic" is a multi track sequencer for making music where as "Music Mixer HD" is a multi source player that does cross fading, looping and cueing.
@Barff1984 - I'll load it up and let you know when I get chance.
Just installed...looks n plays great. Sounds great also, especially with volume+ speaker mod enabled.

couple of questions

I have a couple of questions before i decide to get one of these things:
1. I am told there is a WIFI TETHER program that will work on these phones without ROOT. what is this program?
2. Where someone gets one, can you make a video recording with very loud audio (like being at a concert). the ORIG EVO distorts like hell and I wonder if this is resolved on this unit
3. is there a car mount like what the Orig Evo has?
Thanks...
I grabbed an HTC one x and used it at Bamboozle last weekend. It did pretty well with the shows. Check them out on YouTube, therealspanky34 is my name there.

Im guessing the ONE X has the same sound and video quality as the 4G LTE??
The video quality should be identical since they use the same camera. The audio quality should be practically the same as well.
Edit: I'm returning my one x once my evo shows up. I just had to have a different camera for the trip.

hard to tell from those videos but the 1080p looks like with fast movement, it blurs and the audio, while it doesnt appear to sound distorted doesnt sound that great...
It's the best video I've ever gotten from a concert with a phone though. My OG EVO was pretty awful at it.
Also, there's a car dock available from Sprint.
As far as the WiFi teather without root, not sure about that one.

i remember in an old evo thread that if you tether without root, sprint can easily tell, which is why someone said to always root before you tether, at least they have to go looking for it instead of some kind of icon on your account usage. or something like that...

Looking for a good work related sketching app + sharing

Hey everyone, I just picked this tablet up to bring to job sites with me. I install glass shower doors so I'm always drawing pictures (I attached one) to send off to the manufacturers for quotes. Instead of drawing them on paper and then going back and re-drawing on the computer to send over, I want to just draw them on the tablet and shoot off the email right from where ever I am.
I know coming from the tablet they won't be exactly the same as what I have attached, but I'm just looking for similar. Anyone know of a good app that may come in handy for me? The reason I went to the Samsung was because of the stylus, and I can lean your hand on the screen while drawing for better accuracy.
I also like Evernote's cloud based system where you can login from any phone/desktop/tablet and have access to all of your data. Seems like a great platform and I may end up using it, but I'm just looking for other options at this point.
It doesn't matter if it's a free or paid app, if it does what I want it to do I have no problem paying for it.
Thanks everyone,
The Play Store is your friend...
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=floor planners&hl=en_GB ...then scroll down to Apps
Yeah I know you can obviously search but there are countless apps, I was asking if anyone had any previous experience doing something similar to what I was looking to do.. and knew of an app that handled it well.
Any drawing application will do that for u, sketchbook pro or artflow pro. Do u use ms paint for the pics you draw?

I would use Infinite Painter, found in the play store. You can perform wonders with the appropriate layering work flow. Give it a try. It's free! It's also designed for the 10.1 2014!
PM me if you can't find it.
Hope it helps.

I'm with the above user: Infinite painter is one of the most powerful drawing toos using S Pen
there's also Infinite Design for more technical drawings. this one isn't fully integrate with s pen, however

the future is here...
Not really DNA specific, but I was pleased with how well it worked on my phone: VRPlayer + google cardboard with truly 3d side-by-side videos is... amazing. Like completely ridonk. I thought I was there even with a little bit of head rotation (not 360). The app costs money but I found it to be worth it.
The sundance films VR theater app thing tries to support turning your head 360º but the result is a MASSIVE download that is in the end too grainy. It was very immersive, but like you are immersed in a legally blind person's world.
