Anyone can recommend a good sms blocking app for Xperia S?
I have tried "sms Blocker - Award Winner" previously, but its not compatible with Xperia S when i tried to install it.

is there any way i can restore it? cz i cant find the app at the market.
Ever since I bought Sony I haven't been able to use apps like autostarts that detect the receivers for apps respawing. Rom toolbox doesn't work either. Why don't they work on Sony? Any other alternatives that do work? RAM management on Xperia U ICS is pathetic. I'd like to block apps from respawing.

this may help.
Settings > Developer Options > [scroll to bottom] Background Process Limit.
Pvy.
That screws up the multitasking. I want to disable the receivers

Using a different one, it's Android Tuner. It works good to me :fingers-crossed:
Guys the app adaway and ad block doesn't block the ads in my apps.
Anybody knows why? Ofcourse my phone is rooted.
Have you stopped to consider some apps have ads built into them? Can't block those.

Try adfree android from playstore, it rides away all ads like a pony.

I did before on ics there was no prob.
Realy weird tried on many different apps still all got ads after updating it and restarting
I would recommend adblock plus to you. I used it but got tired of it consuming resources and made my phone somewhat slow.
Instead i downloaded Lucky Patcher by ChelpuS. There is an option in there to remove google ads (the app itself will figure out what apps that are installed and have google ads)
Works like a charm for me now without the annoying ads.
Ofcourse the downside is that it only discovers google ads, others will remain intact unless you use adblocker of some kind.
Cheers.
Thanks for the info, anybody who got more info would be pleased by sharing it

Well any solution would need root access including AutoStarts.
JB Moonbreaker is custom ROM, can't be found in Google PlayStore.
What version is your firmware?

If viber is nor srarted it won't start by no event as it needs to be running to get them, you can always exit viber after startup.
Did you check running apps and didn't see it there?

I recommend Disable Service app(also needs root). It's way better than greeify in my opinion. U can disable/enable any services from any app at any time, doesn't matter if its system or installed app
basically app shows up running services in background, by disabling them they won t launch until you enable them.
Also be careful wich services u disable!
Ya disabling is the best idea

What in the world is this app? It is in Lollipop stock system app.
This app is having lots of logs in logcat:
W/ActivityManager( 1279): getTasks: caller 10162 does not hold GET_TASKS; limiting output
Couldn't find anything in Google as well. Is it safe to remove or not?
I have the same question, is it safe to remove?
Same here...
Yes if you don't use What's New.
Found the same app in the stock 5.0.2 ROM for Xperia ZR (10.6.A.0.454). Apparently this app listens for screen unlock events and records which app was active, and also records all app installations; every day it uploads the collected logs to some Sony web service:
Code:
https://udl-api.sonymobile.com/frontend/v1/log
On Xperia ZR 10.6.A.0.454 this builtin spyware can be disabled even without root.
safe to disable or no ?
Yes safe. I have it disabled and don't see any negative effects.

Have disabled thus from last week and seen a marginal increase in battery life
