I need your help please - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi. Im looking for the original cyanogenmod kernel (latest build - 061012). Do you guys know where I could get this kernel?

Cyanogen website? Maybe ask in their forum.

The stock kernel of RC3 is the same of the 2012-06-10 nightly.
The optimized kernel, however, has the same source of the new kernel we WILL have in the next nightly (I already applied the LCD Patch before it went official).
So, if you get the optimized kernel, you are ahead of the current stock kernel (with the latest bluetooth fix and the LCD Patch)

[KERNEL] RAGEmod v1.1b - U1 released!

My new kernel!
Will come in two flavours:
U1 - based on Samsung Update1
U2 - based on Samsung Update2 - Canceled due to release of Update3 sources!
U3 - based on Samsung Update3 - in progress
Features:
support for SetCPU OC (upto 1400MHz)
UV between 800mV and 1400mV
support for Boot Animation
support for BLN
The goal of my first kernel was to take the battery savings gained from HardCORE's kernel and allow undervolting and underclocking to further improve battery life. I added Boot Animation and BLN support just because I could. This kernel adds to my previous kernels, taking bits and pieces from here and there also.
As usual, this kernel could break your hardware, so only flash if you are not concerned with bricking your device.
Thanks also to the authors of Ninphetamine kernel - their SetCPU supporting code was the basis for the SetCPU support in this kernel, I have also used BLN code from their Git Repository, thanks to creams.
Change Log:
U1 - v1.1 - based on Samsung Update 1
New compiler optimisations - partially from SpeedMod, partially my own.
U1 - v1.1a - minor update release.
Increased touch sensitivity
U1 - v1.1b - minor update release.
Init.d support
Future plans:
Auto Root-ing
Auto install modified liblights
U3 version.
Git Repo Online

thanks, gonna flash this tonight when i get home. Is this the same as the other ragemod thread only this is the "non-beta" version instead?
based on T39 ?
Ravenger if you can provide more info about this kernel compared to v1 T27 or v1 T30 would be very appreciated. Thanks
Not being able to flash the Kernel, the entire process Odin hangs in the middle. Tar seems currupt. zImage is only 3.20 mb.
Thanks.

Thanks. Somethin went wrong with my download Manager. Its all OK now. Thanks again.
Thanks for the kernel, there seems to be something wrong with clockworkmod as it doesn't mount usb storage and also installing zip from it doesn't do anything (ie. theme or whatever).
Previous kernels and others work no problem.
Keep up the great work!
edit: ignore.. sorry, reflashed kernel after flashing other kernel and all working fine now

cyanogenmod nighty kernel

This is the cyanogenmod kernel compiled from official cm7 nightlies.
I'm running it succesfully on stock gb 2.3.3 (v20h). This is the only kernel which doesn't shut down my phone, while i'm not using it. (blackscreen bug?!)
just the extracted kernel from CM nightly 20:

Which nightly did you extract this from

Looks funny! You just extract it and change it to your name?? ?¿

no he compiled from source
So this can be used as base by devs like Franco or Fserve to build their twaked kernels? Is this what they are waiting for?

I hope they will use as base, but i really think they kinda gave up on our p500
I posted this kernel, for those who don't know how to extract a kernel from ROM, or how to compile a kernel. This is why it's also posted in the general section. This and the stock kernel are the only kernel who don't shut down my phone for no reason while it's not being used. I really don't like that CM7 nightly hasn't support for ha xvid/divx/wmv like the stock rom.
I also used sources of cm kernel and modified it but I guess ta-gb is there so no need of it that's why didn't post it on xda

just the extracted kernel from boot.img and wireless.ko from CM nightly 20.
I guess it's more trusted this way )

rewriting this kernel would be great ..

[KERNEL] Stock and optimized CyanogenMod kernels (also with TUN and CIFS modules)

Download stock CyanogenMod kernel
What is it?
It is a flashable ZIP containing zImage and wireless.ko extracted from cm-7-20120701-NIGHTLY-p500.
It is not compiled.
It is completely stock CyanogenMod kernel.
Who is it targeting?
Users of CyanogenMod (or CyanogenMod-based) ROMs that tried alternative kernels and now want to go back to the stock kernel.
Download optimized CyanogenMod kernel
Regular version | Extra version (with TUN and CIFS modules)http://www.mediafire.com/?efgv63eq614zn2ohttp://www.mediafire.com/?efgv63eq614zn2o
What is it?
It is exactly the same as CyanogenMod kernel, but compiled without some debug functionalities.
End users do not need them, and removing them makes the kernel smaller and may increase the speed a little bit.
This kernel should behave just like the CyanogenMod kernel and should have exactly the same functionalities. (in case it doesn't, please let me know )
Additional version with extra modules included - tun.ko and cifs.ko.
Who is it targeting?
Satisfied users of the stock CyanogenMod kernel that may want a little increase in speed and/or some functionality provided by the extra modules included, but do not like fancy modifications in kernels.
I need feedback and suggestions on the optimized kernels. Thanks in advance!
Nice one, could become handy to have a flashable stock CM kernel WITH wireless.ko.
Just a suggestion: You should enable the CONFIG_IKCONFIG option so that one can check which options you have configured in the kernel.
Also could not harm to have the tun.ko module as well (CONFIG_TUN), if needed for VPN connections.
Added versions with TUN and CIFS modules.
Flashed this, all seems good currently, great work
Also, this patch supposedly fix call reboots. Worth a try?

This time I disabled the "optimize for size" option and also checked another option to strip symbols.
When I have time I'll do a better research on that, but it's funny that all these changes in v01 and now v02 don't seem to change much in the benchmark I tested (AnTuTu Benchmark - only "CPU and memory", "2D graphics" and "3D graphics" tested).
In the worst case scenario I'll use this thread to publish only the latest stock CyanogenMod kernel to those who want to get it back.
Researched some more optimizations and built a new version. Now only one kernel already with the extra modules (TUN and CIFS). And it's getting harder to discover new optimizations.
Thx for your extra version with tun module, i flashed this kernel and openvpn work now with cyanogen rc1
Updated all three kernels. Enjoy!
Thanks, this is what I want.
I feel CM official kernel is the most stable and smooth!
After one hour use the optimized version, i feel that my phone has became smoother!

This time I slightly broke my promise of not modifying the code of the optimized kernels.
I applied one change from LG's newest souces (V20A for LGP500H) that seems related to the behaviour of the phone when the screen is turned off (I'm not 100% sure).
https://github.com/yuripg1/lge-kernel-msm7x27/commit/ea2157b140ecf79530f33a214e38b48204c39e2b
I don't know exactly what problem it is supposed to fix, but it seemed safe to apply this patch to the kernel.
I also tried it by myself a little before releasing it and so far it's doing fine.

Once more, all three kernels up-to-date!
Thanks for keep working!
Hello
I have tried Extra version, there is no TUN inside please check.

I just downloaded it [here] to check and there is indeed a tun.ko file on the /system/lib/modules/ directory.
Check again, buddy.

Kernel with cyanogenmod CM9

Hello, someone help me about this:
The kernel Rage Kernel v3.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398910) is the best option to use with cyanogenmod CM9?
Thanks for everybody.
Rage Kernel is great but I think the best option would be the one that comes with CM9 just due to the the testing.

is the kernel what comes with the cm9 version. some times there build new files in that the cm version needs to run stable.

I am using CM9, currently there is some problem with the CM9 kernel.
So You should use "FXP 127" kernel with CM9, its very stable.

Olympus develop kernel in MIUI

Hi, i wan't to use the Olympus Kernel Project in MIUI v5 ROM.
¿Is there any way?
Thanks.

yes. i have not tested the kernel out on that ROM. What you need to do is unpack the boot.img, swap out the existing kernel for the new kernel, pack the boot.img back up, and test it out via fastboot before flashing with the command "fastboot boot insert_img_name_here.img"
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
I think it has to be a leak or 3.1.10 based rom for the libs, not the one with gingerbread kernel. So you cannot take the miui with old kernel and flash Phoenix kernel. You could also build it from source.
Edit: why is that post more than two weeks old?
Or you can just wait and help testing this guys (aka Hai_Duong and a ghost developer called "santajin") the 3.x kernel under MIUI v5:
