Hi all,
After I had installed the Bezke Aokp ROM my vibration worked inconsistent.
Sometimes it worked, but in many cases it just didn't.
This also goes for vibration keys.
Yet when I put my phone in landscape mode the vibration works perfectly.
I uninstalled the AOKP ROM of Bezke due to lot of instability and I installed the Resurrection ROM which is by far the best and most stale.
Unfortunately my vibration even for the keys is completely gone even I checked the vibration in settings.
Can somebody help me please?

Anyone else using this ROM and experiencing this problem? In beta 3 and with the latest CM7 ROM, the feedback and phone vibration works fine. Not sure if I did something incorrect when I flashed it but I'd love to get it back. I have checked all the feedback options and nothing seems to work. All 4 capacitive buttons and everything else seems to be OK. Its just the haptic feedback and the general vibration that's not working. Any help is appreciated.
Hello,I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to disable the light on the capacitive buttons after installing CM9 with soft button mod? Thanks and sorry if this has been covered.
There is an app called Screen Filter in the play store that enables you to turn off the key lights. It works for me and you should go check.

I use Screen Filter too and it's pretty simple... You just have to open the app everytime u turn on or reboot ur gp.

I think if you have the AOKP ROM then theres a option there to disable them manually
Here is my guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374233
It should work on every rom/stock.
thanks guys, I am using screen filter now and it is working - though I dont think it worked for me on GB. Also, I will try to get LEDKill working as a permanent solution.
I dont think I am using the AOKP rom, I am just using the CMP for SGP 5.0 USA rom from the dev section. Does the AOKP rom happen to have working bluetooth? For that matter, do any of the the ICS roms have working bluetooth?
bluetooth isnt working in any ics/cm9/miui room cuz all are based on cm9 where bluetooth isnt working
Hi guys,
I currently have my Photon rooted and unlocked running the 2.3.5 Hybrid (Stock/CM7) rom. Was wondering if anyone has a mod that would allow me to wake the screen with the volume buttons? I was running cm7 and it was a great feature but I switched roms because the camera and camcorder were freezing on me. Just wondering if it was possible to add it. thanks in advance
I'm still using cm7.2 and never ever had cam and video freeze but to turn screen on or off try smart screen on (off) app which uses proximity sensor. I'm using the off feature and works good so far but takes a little tweak to get it to work. Also using volume button to wake up and loving it.

I'm on the same rom and I really miss that feature. I found 2-3 articles that tell you how to mod android.services.jar to make it where the volume keys will wake the screen but I couldn't get it to work on this rom. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas that would be great!
I also tried above but its not working ..
When I press the home button/power button on my Galaxy S3 it takes 2-3 seconds before the screen turns on so i enter my password or pattern. I don`t mean turning the device on, but rather from having a black screen in "sleeping mode" and press the button to open the phone. Can someone help me by making it faster?
I didnt have that problem with my HTC Desire or any other Android mobile i had before.
I did a factory reset but still the same.
I have same problem. I tried different ROMS, kernels. Problem stays. Even I revert completely to factory state.
Delay on phone waking up is a known issue. If you mean lag when your screen is on and you press the home button, go into s-voice settings and disable the top setting.
I ment the wakin up thing ... it worked fine the past 2 weeks i had the phone but i noticed this thing today ... is there any solution for this ?

What roms have you tried so far?? I'm currently on Paranoid Android v2.18.1 and I'm experiencing no lags at all. I've also tried some other roms such as Wanamlite and Checkrom. Both of them worked perfect for me.

What about you otheres ... do you have the same problem?
any help?
try installing app called SoftLocker FREE from play store .. it worked for me
This has been evident in all Galaxy S models - you're going to have to get used to it.

This lag is evident and it is usual because pur phone will go into 'deep sleep' mode to save extra battery juice and you certainly want that don't you? Since you are on stock ROM then you got no choice but to 'bare' with the lag. Unless you go custom such as Resurrection Remix ROM with have absolutely no lag. Paranoid android doesn't have the lags too.
Try it out yourself mate.

the app i posted earlier - SoftLocker FREE disables 'deep sleep', so there's no need to go custom. it works also on stock roms. I use it and the difference in battery drain isn't noticable at all.
Oh ok, I didn't know that cause I'm on custom

I used to have lag problems before rooting but ever since I rooted and flashed Omega 27.2, no lags whatsoever. What's strange for me is how we all run into varying issues when we are sharing pretty much the same hardware.
Just my thoughts.

I've found that turning the ripple effect on the home screen off helps a lot, reduces most of the lag I was experiencing.
I have a strange problem.
E.g. I installed carbon rom. Set it up. Rebooted an lost vibrations. Checked settings an "vibrate on touch" is selected. Haptic is enabled. All seem to be set up for vibrations but phone is not vibrating.
It happens only with AOSP roms. Stock roms are ok.
I also had this problem with slim bean but then clearing cache and dalvig was helping for a while.
I tried different kernels but still not vibrating.
Even in recovery it is not vibrating on touch.
Any one experienced something like this before and knows the fix?
If it's not vibrating in recovery when it normally does, it can't be a rom problem. Maybe its hardware and coincidence? Give the phone a tap o. The side. Perhaps the motor got stuck

Ok. So I've installed stock rom and vibration is back. Just flashed carbon again and after reboot vibration again is gone....
Where actually is it "stored"? Is it in rom itself or kernel?
And does it matter what I had before flashing AOSP (stock 4.1.2 or leaked 4.2.2)?
