[Q] Lost haptic feedback/vibration after switching to Cognition X2 Beta 4 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Anyone else using this ROM and experiencing this problem? In beta 3 and with the latest CM7 ROM, the feedback and phone vibration works fine. Not sure if I did something incorrect when I flashed it but I'd love to get it back. I have checked all the feedback options and nothing seems to work. All 4 capacitive buttons and everything else seems to be OK. Its just the haptic feedback and the general vibration that's not working. Any help is appreciated.

[Q] Haptic feedback

Is there a way to reset / calibrate the haptic feedback on this phone? My wife's phone is having an issue when you press the home/menu/etc buttons. The vibration is BARELY noticable, even though in the settings it is on "high", and feels really strong in the settings.. It works perfectly in the settings when you move the slider, but not when you hit the bottom buttons...
It's been doing it on her phone from stock 2.1 and on Eugene's Gingerclone 2.2.
Thanks!
I just flashed Nero v3 on my phone, and now my Haptic feedback isn't working right, just like hers... I was on stock 2.1 and it was perfect, now it's barely there..

Odin to stock. Only real choice. May work. May not.

Odin to stock JI6 or the unofficial 2.2?
I used Odin to go back to stock, then updated to Nero v3, and the Haptic feedback is still the same... I have it set on full (slider all the way to the right) but it only feels like it's at 25% or so..
The little things like this are what should be pointed to when ppl say, "Why are you complaining about not having an official 2.2 release? The developers make the leaks even better than stock!"
Sorry I have nothing to offer to fix your problem - except to say go back to JI6....

[Q] HELP ME! No Vibration For Notifications On My Phone After Rooting!

Okay maybe I'm an idiot but I've looked everywhere for an answer to this and I can't find one.
I rooted my Sidekick 4G yesterday and everything worked great, until I noticed that my phone wasn't vibrating for notification. I tried messing around with the settings but no luck. I get haptic feedback but no notification vibrations. Anyone having this problem? Any way to fix this?
Additional information:
Rooted with SuperOneClick (latest version, I'm pretty sure).
FROYO
2.2.1
Thank you!
P.S. I'm not very familiar with android tech stuff. I can figure stuff out but please be as noob-friendly as possible

I get haptic feedback when i type on the keyboard. However there is a specific setting for that. What doesn't happen is when i press the return key or back key (gosh iruno what it's called) it doesn't vibrate, thats part of haptic feedback right!?
anyways, back to your question, how about try set the sound profile to 'soung & vibrate' maybe that will help!? lemme know

[Q] Galaxy s3 Haptic Issue

Hi everyone!
Short question. I've got a galaxy s3, so far a great phone!
Vibrate and haptic feedback works when i press the back or menu button. But i cannot seem to get it to work when i touch the screen. i.e. touching an icon on the screen does not create the haptic feedback that i'm used to.
Is this a normal thing or an error/bug?
Uhm you can turn on this function
Yeah..you mean the haptic option under settings - sound?
It enables the haptic feedback for the back and menu button. But not the touches on the screen itself.
that function will be implemented into roms and anyways its not needed it just sucks battery
So, short answer is that it's not a default option on the galaxy?
It's been a long time since i've had a stock rom so i don't know any better

Same Issue(Resolved)
Well i had the same issue and the solution was pretty simple for me. Turn off power saving mode.
same problem but nothing seems to work
ok I have the same problem; haptic feedback not working and neither is vibrating on notifications, some vibrations working. The problem showed up like 1 week ago, without having installed anything special that day (can't remember if I installed anything at all that day).
My device (sgs3 I9300) was when the problem appeared on Paranoid android 3+, now it's on some cyanogenmod 10.1 nightly build.
what i've tried: going through all the settings, sound manager, turning off all vibrations the rebooting then turning them all on then rebooting again, changing rom (incl. factory reset of course), reading all kinds of threads about such problems.

Vibration doesn't work?

Hi all,
After I had installed the Bezke Aokp ROM my vibration worked inconsistent.
Sometimes it worked, but in many cases it just didn't.
This also goes for vibration keys.
Yet when I put my phone in landscape mode the vibration works perfectly.
I uninstalled the AOKP ROM of Bezke due to lot of instability and I installed the Resurrection ROM which is by far the best and most stale.
Unfortunately my vibration even for the keys is completely gone even I checked the vibration in settings.
Can somebody help me please?

Help with haptic feedback issue

Hi guys. I have a strange issue with haptic feedback on my i9300. It is rooted on stock rom. Haptic feedback was working great. I had it at half intensity and all of a sudden today it got really weak. I had to set it at max intensity and it still barely vibrates on touchkeys.... I dont have power saving on. Didn't change any setting before it started doing this. Any clues?
factory reset and reflash stock rom, if it doesn't help then send it in
I was hoping to avoid factory reset or flashing rom :/ any other way?
no, not possible to figure out the cause of the problem over the internet

I had this issue every now and again - particularly after installing a certain twitter client. It seemed to clear itself largely. After uninstalling the app I havent had it since.
