Text SMS - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I'm not able to send text messages through the stock sms or through a 3rd party app. I can only send through Google Voice? I was wondering if anyone had this problem before?

Yesterday my wife had this issue... After calling sprint and spending 3 hours on it I got it working... Took a hard reset and some ## codes....

Hmm.. I can't even *2 to call Sprint on the phone.

Neither could I on her phone, I had to use mine... And during the call I lost service. But they called me back.

1st of all, thanks for replying!! I guess, I'm going to have to try online chat tomorrow to fix this.

Update: the problem seemed to be on Sprints side and is currently fixed as of approximately 8am est this morning. All my failed txt msgs came through this morning waking me up. LOL The Voice error I was getting after trying to dial *2, now is checked and is working! Not sure what the problem was but glad it's fixed!

Lol I'm having the same issue right now..do you know what codes they used..I did a factory reset so far in the dialer..still not working

I have problem sending sms in roaming. I can receive but not send and the worst part is that I don't have any notification of fail.

[Q] Mms from outside of network?

My phone sends and receives picture mail to other sprint phones all day long. I can also send a picture to any non sprint phone. The problem is I do not receive pictures from other carriers. I called sprint and spoke to tech support for 2 hours and they still did not resolve it. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could try?
Please... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Some more info... This is also happening on my wife's evo. We recently switched to an advantage account and had our numbers ported over. The mms has never worked since we have done this! Sprint has no idea what is going on but I know there are some on here that a alot smarter than them!
Please help!!!!!
Have u asked them to do a device refresh

Error 16 Today ? Solved

Can anyone help with this with out calling sprint. I rooted my phone like 2 weeks and now My 2 Evo 3d are showing error 16.
I have a data but can't make calls I Read that is some kind of Sprint network security.
I live in the bay area does anyone have this problem this morning ?
Make a phone call and itll get fowarded to sprint, let them handle it. It takes like 5 minutes.
I think you still need to call them. Or chat with them online. Say that they need to reprovision your phone on their end.
I don't want to call because i think they know at this point the only rooted evo 3ds have the problem.

I don't think so. I think I remember some people having the issue before root was out.

Just call, or go to the online chat, they should fix it with no questions asked. I had to do this a week or two ago when it randomly happened to me.
Mine did this same exact thing last week. Didn't have the issue after rooting, but 2 weeks after I rooted I went on a business trip and got error 16 when trying to make any call.
Phone would not automatically transfer me to Sprint no matter how many calls I attempted to make.
I had to call them, and after about 2 hours and about 5 different Sprint reps they finally sorted it.

It's easy and they don't care. The only way to do it is by calling.
i just called and is Working back Thanks everybody

I've been rooted for 3 days and the same things happened to today. I was finishing a call and i hung up and tried to make another call and it told me "Thank You for calling Verizon etc etc." I had a triangle above my signal bars. Then i attempted another call and got the error 16 message and it shot me to customer service where they already knew i received the issue. Funny thing is i asked her what usually causes the error 16 and she told me "that happens when you pull out the battery and yea."
damn it I just found out after work I have the same issue. Didnt use my phone all day so I didnt know. I'm also in the bay area. On the phone with sprint now. What do they need to do exactly. The rep I'm talking to wants to run several test but cant since I'm calling them from my phone and I dont have any other phone to use.
EDIT: they had to reset my profils so when I restarted it auto provisioned. Fixed now

I've been getting the verizon can't authenticate while roaming and can't make calls or data. When in 3g, it's okay but not roaming.

Nothing....If you get this it is a problem authenticating your phones security on their end. You must call to get this fixed.
I had this same thing happened to me over the weekend while I was traveling.

Xperia S AT&T delayed texts and missing calls?

I've been using my new unlocked S on AT&T for a few days now, and people have been trying to call me, but it never shows up on my phone. However, it only happens sometimes. I could receive a call from someone at a certain time, and then one hour later not receive that same person's call. In addition, many texts I receive are delayed from anywhere between 5 minutes and one hour. I noticed that it seems like the phone's radio goes "inactive", causing these issues, as when I used my phone to open up the Facebook app, as soon as it began loading the content my phone exploded with texts sent half an hour before. Finally, and I'm not sure if this is related to these issues, but I've noticed that my phone's clock falls ahead or behind ten minites , causing me to have to manually reset it. This happens at least once a day. I've turned off the set automatically feature as the network time is apparently ten minutes ahead of the real time.
These kinds of issues (besides the clock resetting) aren't new to this phone; I had an Xperia Play for the past week and it too would delay texts, however it wouldn't send texts at all. I live right in the middle of AT&T's large 4G area in Phoenix, what could be the problem?

Try repairing the phone through update service or PCC.

I have same problem like you ( sim unlocked) buyed in germany using on t-mobile in croatia.
First try to contact your operator and check if 2g and 3g work properly.
I had to write multiple numbers who try to contact me, when, and from where, as well where i was in that time..
For now we cant figure out if it is phone problem, software problem or simply their false..
And i know is really anoying when you have phone turned on all the time and when somebody try to call it says is off..
I had few emercgeny calls so i missed them as well...

But since I've experience similar issues using different phones, doesn't that pretty much eliminate the possibility of it being a problem with the phone?

Please, someone help me? The time is constantly resetting itself and I'm pretty much not getting any texts or calls anymore. Weirdly, if someone texts me a bunch and I don't get them, if I call them and start talking, my phone explodes with every single text message I didn't get. Kind of inconvenient to have to call someone to check my texts.

I remember there was a similar problem with o2x and cm7. It was solved by turning of automatic time update in settings. Maybe it works for this phone too..

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S5 losing network connectivity

My wife and I both have brand new Galaxy S5s, and we both intermittently experience this problem. One of us will send a text message to the other, the text will show as being sent, but the other person doesn't receive it. If the person set to receive the message reboots their phone, the message comes through (as well as any other "pending" messages), and normal phone use continues for a few days until this issue returns. Rebooting seems to always fix the issue temporarily.
This of course is not limited to just communication between our phones, but I was using that as an example. Often times, I'll reboot my phone, and realize I have 3 new text messages, and 2 voicemails from yesterday. Very frustrating.
Phone calls are also affected. When these symptoms are present, phone calls cannot be placed or received until the phone is rebooted. Incoming calls go directly to voicemail.
The worst part of it is, there is no easy way to tell our phones are not connected to the network. The reception status shows good connectivity. Most of the time we're connected to wifi, so email and browsing the internet still work.
I'm just wondering if other people are experiencing this, or have any suggestions of some things we can try. Thanks for the help.

Samsung just rolled out a new update for T-Mobile S5 variant. This update should fix the issues you're having. Here is the link to it: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=29848

@Skyrocket2
Well, that was very timely. I'm glad they released a fix the same day I decided to ask for help. I appreciate the link, and I'll install it and see how it works out. Cheers.
The update killed a lot of people's data speeds. I made a ticket with t-mobile techs. I suggest anyone else with bad data speeds after the new update do the same.

From what I know T-Mobile doesn't care if your phone is rooted because you're not doing any warranty service. If that was the case they will probably tell you that its voided.. I have seen a few that root their own phones at their job so I doubt it'll be a problem. But I guess every T-Mobile store isn't the same..

Yes this is the exact problem I had with last GS5. Tmobile replaced it and I still have this problem with the new GS5. The tried to tell me it was just how the old GS5 settings were set. They had me do Factory reset many times, it never helped. Now with the replacement GS5 the exact same problem. Like you everything looks great on the display. I would just get calls on my home line wanting to know why I never answer my mobile phone. The only thing that helps me is a restart but it is only temporary. Do you know if they have released a fix for this problem?

The only thing it seems the tmobile employees know how to do is a factory reset .. That is their solution for about everything . Like the other guy said they dont handle warranty . That is for your samsung warranty when knox is tripped . If you have handset protection nothing voids it from what i have seen . I think tmobile would rather replace a rooted phone than one with a cracked screen .

I too have had that issue... I was using ringplus though and thought that it was their fault.
Mine doesn't do it. Not sure what the heck is going on. She gets texts and etc no problem. Not sure if hardware or network problem. Taking to Sprint store tonight. Manufacturers warranty expires tomorrow so need to get this resolved

Have you tried the ##UPDATE# in the dialer yet? Or even ##SCRTN#. Those don't hurt anything.
took it back to sprint and they sent her a new one. will keep ya posted if it continues
My phone doesn't receive texts or calls on 3G but when I'm on LTE it works perfectly. Also even on 3G I can call out. It is just incoming that I'm having issues with. I have tried all of the ## codes. ##72786#, ##873283#, ##786# and still it is not working.. I have also tried profile updates and PRL updates. I am out of warranty so I have to fix this myself. Any ideas?
Well new one has same problem. Their solution is to send us an airave evidently
That bites... Hopefully it fixes your issue though.
