Why is that the screen of s3 is uneven?? I mean the four corners in the screen look like they are not equally placed...ie...the distance of the four corners from the edges aren't equal...I've seen so many pics of s3 in web n almost all of them show such unequal placement...is it bcoz of the uneven white paint on the top of the phone which makes it look like uneven or is there a possibility for the screen to be misplaced?? Is the screen inside prone to move when dropped or is it immovably rigid??
In the pic .... If u notice carefully on the left bottom corner ...u can see tat it has a broader gap when compared to the right corner bottom....

You already created a thread here but under a different user name http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1712400
Why do you keep making new user names to make more? The device already has 9 million pre-orders internationally alone, not counting the Americas and Samsung owns %45 of the phone market. You wasting time creating accounts to do this won't even lower that %45 by %.00000000000000000001

Perhaps but that picture was taken prior to it's release. I doubt that it's a case for two reasons...
What cases were available prior to the release of the phone? Cases are just now coming out and look nothing like that.
I doubt that anyone showing off a phone would prevent potential investors or customers from seeing the entire phone (in the nude so to speak)
So with that said... why would they purposely create the screen bleed issue?
yeah thats some early version of our device,
though the lack of screen bleed doesnt surprise me considering when at near-max brightness its not noticeable
To be honest I love the Amaze as it is and I am AMAZE at the quality and build...I came from a regular HTC Desire that I still love and Mod...

Took my phone out of my pocket today to notice a slight bend. I looks like right were the two covers meet. Was wondering if anyone else has maybe noticed this. I do keep my phone in my pocket all day but I don't think it should bend that easy. Let me know what you gentleman think.
post some pictures man!!! Without pictures, its just another OCD thread.
There are so many OCD threads it's amazing. I'm not saying this one is. But, I would suspect this phone would bend VERY easily.
1) it's paper-thin
2) if you watch the YouTube video about how the aluminum was machined/milled, you see that aside from the lower half, the upper half is 2 very thin aluminum rails (sides) bridged by another super thin aluminum rail across top. So yes, thus will bend very easily. Aluminum is incredibly weak (I'm a machinist).

Oh, yeah, sometimes the actual screen is a half a millimeter or so to one side or the other so the black space around it can be bigger on one side than the other. But as long as the screen isn't crooked (i.e. it's straight up and down as it appears to be) I wouldn't worry about it.

Had you mentioned that in the original post you may have got a less terse response.
Either way what you are talking about is the misplacement of the screen within the case by about 1000th of an inch. if that really is an issue for you then I suggest going back to your supplier and trying to get a refund or replacement.

Well, it's a very minor aesthetic issue that doesn't affect the phones performance, so it's really a matter of opinion on how big an issue it is. If it's really bugging you, you can try and get it replaced. But in my experience almost every phone has minor issues like this. Some are less noticeable because their front panels are entirely black and mask the minor alignment quirks. But if the screen bumps right up against white or some other color, you're probably going to notice it more.

Maybe I got lucky, but I don't think so, I ordered mine first day they went on sale Oct 10/11 - I have had No creaky case/hardware issues whatsoever, even with a "battery cover replacement" this year, still as solid as when brand new, the additional cover is just as solid as the original.

Ok so I've got a weird screen imperfection, it's an inch long thin lightening bolt shaped mark near the top center of the screen. It's only really visible with light blacks and greys, (and that's if your really looking for it). It's like after you shake an etch-a-sketch and you can still see a little of the line left over. Anybody else notice anything like this? I paid for this phone outright to keep my data and am unlocked and running cleanrom. I would hate to get a refurb and go through all the trouble of restoring this one and unlocking another. What would you do, live with it or get a refurb?

Welcome to AMOLED screens. Well known issue. Sometimes they are splotches too. Just Google it and you will find matches galore. If you switch it out you could get a worse one or a better one. Hard to say. I've got one tiny mark on mine towards the top middle. My GSIII had 3 huge splotches near the bottom.

Thanks for the info, I had no idea that was an issue with this display tech. I love this phone so much I was willing to try to ignore it or say hey it makes the phone uniquely mine but I do hate that my phone is a little less perfect lol.
I guess I'm going to stop by Verizon and see what they say, if they offer me a refurb I think I'll just keep what I have. If somehow I can get a new one maybe I'll ask for the grey instead of white this time? Dam, if I do that then the iPhone owners I regularly crap on will be able to talk crap about my less than perfect android LOL.
