Just had a look at my battery stats and was wondering if these looked normal? This is my first android phone..

Hi all, I have looked everywhere and cannot find a fix for my issue.
The light on my phone will illuminate green (full charge) yet my battery widget and battery stats show 92%. How do I get these to match? Which is correct? I have tried resetting my battery stats in the recovery menu and still cannot get the readings to sync.
Running kaosfroyov30 if it matters......
Thanks!
Ron

Batt light will show full charge until its lower than 90%.
You can wipe batt stats from recovery when phone is 0% connect charger power on in recovery mode wipe stats when batt is at 0%. This will reset your batt so the phone knows truely what its charged to.

Hello,
I recently got the Galaxy S2 and I'm really enjoying it! the only problem i had till now is the battery drainage issue.
Because of this issue I asked what to do and someone told me to do heartagramm's tutorial of calibrating battery, the only problem is that it says in the tut i need to wipe battery stats and i can't find it in the recovery.
1. Where is it? do i need a custom recovery?
2. Do you have a different fix for the battery drainage?
(While using 3G and playing a little the battery died in 5 hours)
Battery fix is use the battery .
Battery stats via root explorer .
No custom recovery yet .
Wiping battery stats may well just be false information >> wipe stas and in a few days your battery is better or just wait a few days and your battery is better .
Battery drain = programs draining the battery ..
may help.

I charge and unplug my phone everyday and found that the battery usage is weird recently. Any idea? Thanks.
Try to clear the battery stats from CWM recovery?
I also seem to be having this problem.
Tried wiping battery stats and tested over 3+ cycles of charging, yet still the battery usage is all over the shop with roughly the same amount of use.
I did the Battery Calibration after I flashed the rom and the battery usage was fine after that, just recently weird.
I will clear the battery stat and see what will happen. Thanks guys.
Hi
Its been 2months i bought galaxy s2 and 1 thing i dint like is the battery life. Im getting only 5hours of battery life with internet on. Ive installed the battery life saver apk Juice Defender and still the battery life is very less. Please suggest me something.
Also i read a post in the same website saying that the android 2.3.3 has this OS problem. The form told me to shutdown the phone and remove the battery for 5mins Nd use again. But when i shutdown the phone the battery was 45% and when i switched on again, the battery indicator was 15%. Then after sometime, it increased to 27% without charging and then reduced normally. Please help me with this, what might be the reason for battery life being inconsistant and what can be the solution

you might have an application that keeps your phone awake. what i mean is by having your screen off there are applications in the background still running. So my best advice is Juice Defender does not do anything and infact it drains more battery than saving it.

probably yes... Bcos when in idle, sometimes the display suddenly turns on and again after sometime. Is it possible that the phone is infected with virus?

I believe you have rooted your phone, if not follow chainfire thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399) for rooting the phone. After rooting goto CWM recovery > Advanced > Wipe Battery Stats. This should give you a clean slate on the issue of battery inconsistency.
As for battery drain, remove all battery saving apps like JD, they infact consume more battery. Install Betterbatterystas apps from market ( paid app) or the free version available on XDA, and check for the partial wakelocks / kernal wakelocks to get to know what apps are killing your battery.

hope this helps!

Which Rom you are using at this moment...
Yes Smasung Stock Roms do have this problem as reported by Some users.
If you want give it a go ... Try Battery Mods for S2 ... They do help In this Inconsistency.
Depending on your Current Version You can find Battery Mod which will help you.
E.g for XWKL1 Check out this thread forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188132
I bought the 2000mah extended battery kit to my S2. Since the charge is so slow on the S2(about 3-4hours) I can't top it up when I get home before I go out again. So I'm thinking about using the original battery and pop that in when I get home.
But how will the phone and battery indicator react to me constantly switching between two different sized batteries? Will it completely mess it up? Would it help if I wipe the battery stats every time I put in a new battery? Cause I thought a phone needed a couple of charges to learn the capacity of the battery?
Is all i do is to swap battery as needed
Wipe battery stats only if i want to read new battery stats .
Wipe battery stats plays no part in the calibration of SGS2 battery .
jje
no it won't get messed up
Weird, I thought the phone needed to learn the battery before accurately displaying the battery levels.
But then I dont need to worry then.
Thanks for the fast replies!
