root explorer /media/audio/iu there are all system audio files, u can download more and replace
i mean how do you change the system sounds example when you touch the screen it makes a default click sound i want to change it to the water drop sound
iv added the sounds to the folder /media/audio/iu
but its still chooses the default tone when i press keys

Ya i get the same issue. I changed the lock and unlock sounds and i still hear the old ones even after reboot

The Atrix makes this extremely annoying sound when it's being turned on and off. I went to setting and sound to try to see if there was any options to disable this but I could not find anything. Does anyone know if it's possible?

Gingerblur 3.5 silences the SD mount/amount sound, look under development thread.

It plays the default notification tone when you mount/unmount the internal SD cards upon boot/shutoff. You can change/silence it in the sound settings. This will change/silence all notifications that use the default sound though. Be aware of that.
Swyped on my rooted and frozen Motorola Olympus.

That doesn't always work. Mine doesn't even play the default notification, but rather a very loud and annoying ring.
I just changed to Gingerblur 3.5 and loving it.
I want to be able to hear notifications, just not SD card mounting/unmounting. The weird thing is that it doesn´t even play the new default notification sound that I´ve set (all other notifications do play the new sound).
After having messed up my Galaxy S I would really like to keep the Atrix clean and original as much as possible...so I´d really like to avoid installing new non official roms and such.

google silent mp3. download it. convert it to .ogg (necessary?) file using a free converter. put silent.ogg in /system/media/audio/notifications. reboot phone. change notification ring tone to silent. done
**must have root access and use something like rootexplorer**

But wouldn´t this disable all my notifications? I would like to disable only sd mounting/unmounting.
Can anyone help me i would like to change the bip sound always i touch galaxy... Dont have option to change..just for put mute :/

Any .ogg file renamed to the proper name would work.

Is there an app for "audible selection" and "sound on key press" that will output different sounds like on anime or scifi movies w/ hacking or computers? I just think it would be cool. =]
Can someone make this? You can rip sounds from anywhere with Audacity. (My PC is down :[ )

Having a hard time finding sounds. Typical bleeps and bloops from computers during animes. As for what they're for, noises when making a selection on home screen or elsewhere, and when typing making multiple bleeps. To simulate a fake hacking effect.

This is gonna sound stupid but is there a way to play the original playstation sound during boot up?my phone stays silent during boot up so im not sure about other devices

I am trying to find out the file name for the specific sound the lock screen makes upon swiping it to unlock. I mean the actual hand through water sound as you swipe it not the unlock sound. Also I can't find for the life of me the file name for the battery charged and shut down UI sounds.
Any help?

I'd love to know this too. It'd be great to be able to enable this sound when using security on the lockscreen.
I'm trying to change the touch sound and typing sound on my tablet z but couldnt find that option anywhere, please help thanks!
You can change it: To "Off". That sounds by far best.

the matter is i like to hear the sound lol
I believe such customizations are rarely offered on the stock user interface layer and is considered a deeper level of customization, so you'll need to root your device to make such changes.
