Where to find original firmware? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Where can I find original firmware downloads for the S3? I always used SamMobile.com on my Galaxy S but I'm not getting the latest ALF2 showing on the list. I updated to ALF2 through KIES the other day but I like to know I can flash through ODIN in the future if need be.
Thanks

I have purchased a new SIII for my wife but it has a Vodafone-modified/branded ROM on it. I have been trying to figure out which ROM I should use to get a stock ROM on the SIII (like I did for my SII), but I get lost in the alphabet soup. Which stock ROM can I use here in Australia?

Hey there...that site says it's for Iraq. Any idea if that's the same firmware for USA, or if there is another one for the United States?
I have the international version, using it on AT&T.

new samsung galaxy s3 toolkit v2 has the function of downloading/flashing stock firmwares

[Q] Multiupload.com

Hello,
I am trying to flash my galaxy s2 back to standard. Does anyone have the following files?

[Q] Can I change my Australian firmware from Vodafone to Telstra?

Hi there,
I currently purchased a new SG3. It has the vodafone branding which I want to change. When I do the *#1234# it shows me the following:
AP: I9300TDUALE6
CP: I9300TDULE6
CSC: I9300TVAUALE6
"About Device" reports:
Model Number: GT-i9300T

Build number: IMM76D.I9300TDUALE6
Am I able to change the software/firmware from Vodafone to the Telstra one located on Sammobile. Im unable to post outside links but heres a copy of whats available on sammobile.
Firmwares for GT-I9300T - All (10 latest)
Country/Carrier Date Android PDA CSC
Australia (Telstra) 2012 June 4.0.4 I9300TDUALF2 I9300TTELALF2
Australia (Telstra) 2012 May 4.0.4 I9300TDUALE6 I9300TTELALE6
I got no idea how all this rooting stuff works. Im trying to learn but I can get my head around it. So sorry if any of my questions seem stupid. Thanks for all your help in advance.
No need rooting to flash.
And yes you can flash Telstra firmware on Voda model, they are the same hardwares.
You need Odin 3.04 and need samsung usb driver or if you already have it working with Kies, then no worries about driver.
Here I copied the general instruction from the UK thread:
Instructions For Flashing Firmware:
Extract the firmware
Launch Odin
Turn off your device
Put your device into Download MODE (Home + Volume Down + Power)
Click PDA and select *.tar.md5
Then finally click START!
Thanks mate. Am downloading the firmware now. Its gonna take 2 hours to download.
Am I meant to change any of the options in Odin3?
Thanks again.
Now that I have flashed my galaxy s3 successfully.
I keep getting the message "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped"
Does anyone know what this is or can direct me into the right place? Ive done a factory reset as another thread recommended but didnt work.
Thanks

I'm lost, I9100p or I900p?
If it's I900p, what phone is that?
If it's I9100p flash any I9100 ROM / kernel.
If you don't wanna lose NFC, there's a couple of threads with a NFC enabler laying around here somewhere.
i guess it's about a i9100p
don't think a i900p exist....he wouldn't be posting here
and yes - any kernel would do the job (as gastonw says)

This is the jelly bean ERA, gingerbread is long gone.
Unzip that and you'll get a single file containing Code, CSC & modem.

I bought this phone in Pakistan. I have told everything in detail, please help me, why is my s3 still saying you got the latest firmware installed. XEMf6 build number, XXEMA5 is baseband...
You have the latest firmware for YOUR phone you wait for your provider to update .
That is the official update .
Alternative .
If you want to update then you flash a stock rom for your region from sammobile or samsung-updates or xda stock rom thread .
If your region has not been updated then flash any stock rom and test .
Your baseband shows as Gulf Countries origin see faqs and guides .

Please read JJEgan post above you! You can flash and test other stock roms from different regions with odin (you do not need to be rooted to do this) But if you want to do a full backup (nandroid) of your current rom then you need to be rooted, if you just want to save pictures/music just copy them to pc and flash via odin >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/guide-odin-flash-guide-t1671969 <<

If you can't upgrade through kies, ODIN will be your only choice, and you dont need to root your phone for that.
