I'm having the same problem. My data works fine if I switch back to a gingerbread rom, but stops with any ICS rom. I've even tried to restore the APN's via APN backup and restore, but no luck.
Does anyone have a fascinate ICS rom working with MetroPCS internet yet?

Yes, I read the post above, but wasn't sure if this pertained to MetroPCS too. I don't have 3g with Metro.
Also, how do I apply the patch. Do I have to push using ADB or RootExplorer?

ive noticed on the fascinate that apnbackup and restore doesnt do much for ics+ so theres a file that is in system/etc/apn-config.xml full of apn settings just add metropcs and ic&e's apns in there using the format, its all the apns that your cdma phone can use, then make into a flashable zip and it will be ready to re-flash everytime you switch roms. i have to do this for my fascinate to get it to work on straight talk lol
if i knew what the apn settings were for them i would make you a zip, ill look into it later tho

Good that we know such an important information. Try again with a proper baseband ⇩⇩⇩
Try to add APN.
(Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names)
You can find settings of the provider in google...

Because you need to reflash the darned ROM which you have screwed with the non-working patch. Read!

plz gimme a link of ur kernel version
RoM n baseband
Well, flash a full stock ROM via KDZ and move on. When you have done some reading (which clearly hurts your brain), come back with some non-PEBKAC issues. While you have mismatch between your baseband and ROM, you have no GSM and data. It is written in the howto, but then again, too long and boring to read, huh?
Bye.
Hello ppl. I have flashed to new baseband w/ Cyanogenmod 9(lurpohip) and franco's newest kernel. I can call and send text messages, but data doesn't seem to work. Would appreciate help. I've gone through both how-to's pt. baseband LGMDP.exe. Also did a full data wipe before installing the rom.
I noticed some NVRESTORE NV_FAIL_S errors when I changed to new baseband in LGMDP.exe though.. Any ideas? Tried to change 3 times, same errors occur.
Thanks in advance. Sorry for being a noob, but I have been searching for 2 days.
Unfortunately, CM team has removed some frequency from sources and now, with some carrier (eg. Vodafone or 3 IT), data connection doesn't work. I have the same problem. The solutions are:
1. Not use a CM rom
2. Use old baseband with patch for CM.
3. Wait for a fix

[Q] Please Help!!!!

I was on stock GB 2.3.3. then i rooted my phone for the first time today. i was planning to install custom ROM 2.3.4 Phoenix. then i read somewhere that i need to be on the old baseband. and i saw a guide to do that. i did the same.
I purchased ROM Manager. i tried to download ROM. it asked to do a backup, and i did that - within ROM Manager. then it showed me few available ROM's. and i clicked the Mik's CM 7.1 and installed it. but there was no network. Wifi was working.
So, I tried to do a restore. but it said i can't do that because Clkwrkmod Restore is not installed. I installed it using WiFi, but it didn't work saying there was some files missing. then I thought of downloading 2.3.4 Phoenix to overcome this situation, hoping that network will comeback. i downloaded and installed it. but still no network as well as no WiFi.
What should i do now? is baseband an issue here? Pls pls.. anyone help. I know i did some big mistakes..
i will be more than happy to go back to even Froyo 2.2, my original stock ROM. i need to get network working.

Wind Amaze 4G ROMs

This is my third Android phone and the first one that its a Canadian one. I used to have GS AT&T and just followed guides here because everyone had AT&T and no problems there. Now that i got Wind Mobile i dont know where to start. I did unlock the bootloader so thats one thing done right. Now all the ROMs i see in Dev section are based on T-Mobile version. Whatever ROM you flashed go back to the original thread and look for the kernel.
The ROM i am using recommends CWMFauxKernelv007 but that did not help or maybe i am doing it wrong? I just copied boot file form CWMFauxKernelv007 and flshed it with Easy Kernel Flasher. Did it 2 times and still no Data.
Flashed stock ROM back and 4G is back. Looks like APNs are gone. Is that something i must do every time since i am using T-Mobile ROMs?
Is this rom working in turkey

[Q] Signal problems

Hey guys i have been having some signal problems with my ace, but I only have them when inside my house. This started happening when I flashed gingerbread 2.3.5 to get a custom rom for my Ace (which is awesome btw!) the rom I am currently using is WP7 Rom by Jinavs. I have googled & searched a lot and all I found was a code to change the GSM too 900/1800 but I tried the code and it said that it was invalid, the code is *#2263#. Then I read something about changing the phone's modem is this possible on custom firmware? I never had any problems when I was on Stock Froyo 2.2.1. Any help guys?
Also master reset or factory reset does not work :/
what I do sometimes is airplane mode or turn off the phone and it sometimes works
and it only happens inside my house it works fine in any other place.
Any help will be appreciated

create a cwm backup then. the point of reflashing stock rom is to get correct modem for your region. after that u can just restore the cwm backup, it wont overwrite the modem.

Same issue was there when i flashed Roms using KS (tried CNA,CM9) and tried MUI Rom also still not use. But i was able to use it on stock RoM
If you are getting the force close upon the phone starting resulting in no service, this is normal with the ICS based roms. The last rebase joker did was on version 3.1. Installing anything after that only once will cause this issue. You can do one of three things to remedy this...
1: Use the Kitchen Sink Rom
2: Flash .3.1 first, then the latest version.
3: Flash the latest version, then immediately flash it again. Then install your gapps.
Also, make sure you have Jokers CWM.
Same issue
I was having the same issue, except right when my phone booted up it kept giving me the message that android.process.phone has stopped working, and it wouldn't let me connect to the mobile data network either.

thanks got it.
I just spent the last 6 hours figuring this out and go figure it would be in the Q&A section... Did a fresh stock flash, factory wipe, format cache, dalvik and system. Installed .3.1. Then ONLY wiped the dalvik cache and upgraded to the 6.1 i would stop getting the com.android.phone FC. If i did the factory wipe it would start FCing again.
