For Mobile Odin Lite app, you have to install the FlashKernel I9100 v2.0 apk.
Does this work on your phone?
I have read your post in Mobile Odin thread and had in mind that this did not work either.
You have to download the FlashKernel zip file, extract with 7zip (you know it now) and copy the apk file to your phone.
Then click the apk file on your phone (with any explorer app, or stock My Data app) and click "Install".
If you are rooted, the FlashKernel I9100 v2.0 app should be installed.
After that, install Mobile Odin Lite app (the same way).
I would always recommend to check the free/lite version first before buying the paid/pro app.
Good luck !

i already found the right add on apk and installed it, its all set up and ready to go, just was a little scared that it might have the same problems as the pc odin. i was a little worried that if mobile odin came across a problem that it wouldnt back down and do a bit of damage. i have had to go the hard way round rooting and installing cwm i was worried that there was some type of lock on my kernel from the people that sold me phone. im a newby with galaxy s2. thankyou all for you help

thankyou, i took a chance and tried, just updated from GB 2.3.4 to GB 2.3.6 with mobile odin and it seems to have worked, made me sweat a bit with this week old phone but all seems to be well thanks again guys

[Solved] help with odin - need .ops

How can I find the .ops for odin for my device? I tried flashing without it, but it whines about missing an unnamed file.
***Edit: Okay, so it turns out the version of Odin for the galaxy player uses .pit files, which are easily found in the dev forum. Supposedly 1.3 and 1.85 work will work. I've personally used version 1.3 with my device.***
With Odin, you need to put the device into download mode and you are only going to use odin to install a custom kernal. Then you use cwm to install a rom on your sd card.

Cant flash CF-Root with mobile odin

Hi was looking for some help with an issue.
I am running unbranded ICS 4.0.3 with root access.
IML74K.XWL7
Kernel:: 3.0.15-1900XWL7-CL340913 [email protected] #3
I have some moisture damage so cannot connect via usb to use odin pc.
I'm trying to get CF-Root kernel so I can use CWM to flash RR 2.6.1
I select the tar CF-Root file : CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_LP7-v5.4-CWM5 from "open file" and then select flash firmware, it says its flashing kernel and then resets the phone as if it has worked but the kernel remains the same, it hasnt worked.
What am I doing wrong here? Never had a problem with Mobile Odin before.

You can try flashing a zip file in stock recovery that will give you temporary Cwm. From that you can flash any kernel you want.
And I have no idea where to get that file...

mobile ODIN Lite question

Running stock rooted ICS 4.0.3
I was running Stock ICS with the latest Siya kernel. However I decided to flash AOKP using CWM but got stuck on the boot screen containing the words Samsung Galaxy S2 and so just used Odin on the computer to flash back to Stock rooted ICS from Creepys thread. I'm trying to reflash the Siya Kernel again but when I select the ZImage file with mobile ODIN lite the flash button is grayed out. I've downloaded and reinstalled both the kernel files and reinstalled mobile ODIN lite and get the same thing.
As a side note, I did a nandroid backup and wipe data factory reset before flashing the AOKP zip file with CWM. Not sure what happened there.
Any help is appreciated!

Why are you making things harder on yourself boy? Just flash the .zip in CWM BAM, you have Siyah Kernel
OK, I used Terminal to put the Siya Kernel back and then restrored the nandroid backup. Everything was back to normal. I then downloaded the Aberration zip file and flashed it with CWM and it wouldn't boot past the Kernel logo. Maybe my SD card is bad or something. Aberration showed a successfull instal then wouldn't boot. It was the latest version with an older kernel so I'm not sure what's going on. I must suck at flashing ROMs. After restoring to the backup that I actually flashed the Siya Kernel on, Mobile ODIN Lite still has the flash button grayed out. It it a one time use thing or something? I'm dying to try a custom ROM but so far have struck out 2X.

If you were flashing abberation 1.1 that was a problem. Try 1.2

Also, don't forget to do a wipe data/factory reset before you flash a new firmware.
Re: Mobile Odin Lite. You should be able to install a kernel even without installing the I777 supplementary file. If Mobile Odin is not seeing the kernel, I'm not sure but maybe it's a spelling issue. At least Linux expects a file to be capitalized exactly, so maybe Mobile Odin does too. It should be zImage, not ZImage (as you have it above.)
Also, if you install the I777 supplementary file, then Mobile Odin becomes a very useful tool. You can get that from (I think) the 3rd or 4th post in the Mobile Odin thread.

I made sure and did the data/factory reset. I also, checked the spelling and it is zImage as you stated. I had a typo.

GS2 stuck at yellow triangle, cannot find appropriate CF-root kernel

Hi everyone,
First off I apologize if this is too stupid, but I am a complete newbie at this (yes, I watched the noob video before registering).
I rooted my galaxy s2 GT-I9100 using the Odin insecure kernel --> S2 root --> Odin secure kernel method. Then i installed CWM Rom manager. However it says that I do not have CWM Recovery on the phone, I cannot flash the ROM. So I downloaded recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-galaxys2.zip and flashed it to the phone using Odin. It shows PASSED but the phone was stuck at the boot-up screen with the yellow triangle.
I tried to flash the CF-root kernel onto the phone, which many said will solve the problem, however it seems the kernel for this phone "ZSLPE" is very rare (phone purchased in Hong Kong) and I cannot find anything with this particular kernel. Also, when I connect the phone via Odin and try to flash anything, it now gets stuck at "setting up connection", so i suppose even if i find the right kernel, it cannot be loaded onto the phone. Please help! I will be eternally grateful.

Download .tar (Odin version) version of Siyah kernel here: www.gokhanmoral.com/gm/2012/07/29/siyahkernel-s2-v3-5/
Flash the kernel via Odin.
Ps: asking questions, or even searching could have saved you all these mess because, ROOTING ICS doesn't really require flashing any kernel unlike gingerbread.

If you're on ICS you can flash siyah kernel for S2(the .tar file) and you'll get custom recovery and root at the same time. Kernel are usually universal you don't need to find the specific kernel for your rom. Only if you're using a 4.0.4 rom you have to use a 4.0.4 kernel same goes for the 4.0.3 because you're going to have bugs with the camera etc

Thanks a lot for the reply. I believe the phone was running on ICS 4.0.3. Can I still flash the Siyah kernel? Also it seems that when trying to flash anything with Odin, it gets stuck at "setting up connection" stage and does not proceed.

I exited Kies, so yes I don't think it's running. Plus Odin was able to flash the CWM recovery onto the phone right before it got stuck at the yellow sign. After that it stopped working.
Should I flash the latest version of Siyah (v4.1.4) instead of the one you suggested?
Thanks again

[Q] Stuck in bootloop, what can I do ?

Dear All,
I am a complete noob to android (only purchased by galaxy s3 2 weeks ago) and I was using Omega Rom 27.1, siyah kernel 1.6.5 and I messed up using tool (H-ktool) to restore my efs using a backed up efs.img file. The result is that my galaxy s3 now stuck in boot loop, though I still have access to CWM recovery.
I have read all the parts about unrooting and restore to stock firmware but the problem is I do not know my phone CSC (I never paid any attention ... noob), and also I'm not very clear on restoring to stock firmware either using Odin (as I use a mac).
I have also tried wiping, formatting everything using CWM and reflash Omega 27.1 (as I currently have no other firmware file, the download speed is very slow and I do not know my CSC..)
So my question is what can I do now, do I need a window computer to check my phone CSC and also use odin to restore stock firmware, will that help? and also how can I check my CSC
So noob ..
