[Q] Samsung Secret Codes - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i know that sammy has some codes that allow us modify some parameters, as i've already noticed for the GS2:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069015
so i'm wondering about this device, someone has these codes for the GS3?
TIA

None can help me?

Same codes on S3.

Hi - these codes works:
*#0*# – Takes you to LCD TEST MODE
*#9900# – Takes you to System Dump, where Disabling Fast
*#1234# – Check your Firmware version.
*#06# – Imei Code
*#2263# – Network modes select

[App] Acess tab secret codes for Hidden menues

As most of us know samsung have secret hidden menues for testing hardware functionalities using secret codes which are only avaliable through dialer , so as we dont have dialer , I've found this app on market that can acess the hidden menues without using the dialer , its name is SGS secret codes https://market.android.com/details?...wxLDEsImNvbS5saWRyb2lkLnNncy5zZWNyZXRjb2RlIl0.

Ics isn't Samsung. That's why it doesn't work. Get back on a Samsung rom and it will.
works here on ICS AOKP -p4 P7500, but only some of the buttons/codes.
Anyone knows an App or method to enter custom GSM codes ? I need that to show remaining monthly Data volume of my Prepaid SIM. Should be something like *100#

Unable to send SMS on stock ICS roms

Okay as the title says, I'm unable to send ANY SMS messages from my phone to another when on AOKP, AOSP or CM9
It works flawlessly on the ICS Samsung roms though..
Can anybody please help..?
I've tried switching numerous roms..resurrection, hydrogen, F1 Galaxy Nexus, the SMS just doesn't seem to work..
Oddly, receiving works just fine though the sending is having trouble..

I tried changing the SMSC using the dialer code, however that doesn't seem to work when I click update it says update error and the cellular connection restarts itself..
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Also, the SMSC displays 00
Something tells me that's what's wrong..
Of course it doesn't change the fact that I'm unable to modify it

Ask your network for the required information reference the number .
As you are asking about non Samsung roms its worth checking the relevant development threads .
jje
Well i'm aware of what my center number is and also i just switched to a samsung rom and found out that the settings say that my message center number isn't set while it sends and recieves messages with no problem

I've gone through all of their relevant threads reapectfully and am still left without an answer
I'll post in one of those threads and see if anybody could help me there..

What provider are you with?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
It's a different provider. I live in the middle east. The providers here aren't exactly popular
I think i'll re-flash my region firmware through odin and then install one of the AOKP roms through cwm and see if the center number persists

I had this same problem! Thought it was the ROM but its just my message service centre was empty.
Method 1:
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Select Phone Info
Scroll down and where it says SMSC, put in your Message Centre number including post code +
Then click update.
Method 2:

Method 1 gave me an update error
Method 2 since I'm on a Samsung ROM right now, I can change the center number from the messaging app itself. So I did and went to the dialer, entered the code and saw that the smsc changed
I then tried to again manually change it (though everything was working just fine but it was giving me some odd 07.. Kind of numbers)
The manually changing didn't quite work then I copied the same number that was displayed before when I changed the center number through messaging app and pasted it in the smsc to see if now it updates and it works!
I think all I have to do now is go to an aosp ROM of my choosing and input the same number in the smsc

The 07 number was working but the other number with the area code wasn't... Now going to AOKP

Solved! Turns out if you save your center number in the Samsung messaging app it somehow sticks on and now it's still there in my Hydrog3n rom

Google Stock MMS for Omega 27.2

The one in the kitchen has the multi thread bug. Is there a CWM version out there that has a built in fix already? I got more than 800 contacts and it will be such a hassle to edit their numbers with a country code one by one..

Not to mention that all have varying area codes depending on physical location or service provider.

[APP] Note 3 INFO

Hi guys,
I wrote this app to provide detailed information about our Note 3, including:
SAMSUNG SPECIFIC INFO:
- Phone Colour (Samsung specific)
- Phone Manufacturing Date (Samsung specific)
- Knox Warranty Void (Samsung specific)
- CSC Product Code (Samsung specific)
- CSC Sales Code (Samsung specific)
- Country Region (Samsung specific)
- RIL Serial Number (Samsung specific)
- PDA Version (Samsung specific)
- CSC Version (Samsung specific)
- Changelist (Samsung specific)
... ...
Using this app you can know exactly what country your phone has been produced for. So you can choose the correct firmware to flash.
You can known your Bootloader version so you can decide what method use to root, whether the Knox will be tripped, which firmware version can be flash over...

Knox info doesn't show, nor color.

New Update v1.0.5:
- Add Hardware info, Board/Chip Name, Hardware Revision
- Some improvements
Knox says "not exist" now. I don't know if that is what you want it to say or not. Still no color info, product code, or RIL serial number. Other than that, great job. Really like this so it is easy to pull up info. Thank you
A few things to look into but does not affect the functionality of your app
1. Samsung should be capitalized
2. Phone manufacturing date could be formatted for USA like Build date.
3. Build number could be cut down to not include the PDA info.
4 and 5. Build fingerprint and description could be cut down so the relevant info can be read.
6. Hardware could be changed to Qualcomm instead of qcom.
This is just a list of me nitpicking anything I see. Does not have to be done, nor am I saying your app is bad because of those. Just listing them for you.

Thank you for your comments. I will look into it. Thanks
"Not exist" means Samsung does not track for warranty bit on your phone, because it does not exist
Sorry for my poor english, it may make misunderstanding. Can you suggest me which phrase I have to use in this case? "Not exist" or "not found" or "warranty Void free" or something else?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
You're welcome. I would say something like "bit not found" or "no information" to better represent what is going on. Not found could mean that the trip information wasn't found so the warranty is still good when that may not be the case.
