[Q] USB Pin Definition - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm want to create an audio/charger cable for the S3. Unfortunately the original Samsung Vehicle Dock has no docking function like the one for the S2.
So I need informations about the pin definition of the usb. Is it like the S2, where you need a 619k ohm between pin 4 and 5 to set the S3 into car dock mode?
Thank you

Hi, tried one of those cable at work (used for the SGS), but didnt worked.
Guess the 3.5mm jack is for audio only. Not sure, just my guess...
A quick google dearch gave me some link, from xda developers site :

Hope it help
ok probably doesn't then, thanks
The SGS2 is one of the first devices to implement the MHL standard. Basically, it repurposes the microUSB connector to provide digital HD video/audio output. This output is translated to HDMI through an external adapter, allowing you to view the SGS2's output on currently available TVs.
With the recently available MHL-to-HDMI adapter, you plug a charger into the adapter (the adapter pulls a little power from the charger, sending the rest to the SGS2), the adapter into the SGS2, and run a HDMI cable from the adapter to an external display (HDTV, monitor, etc.).

[Q] Apple HDMI on Galaxy Tab

Hi, I´m thinking to buy a Galaxy Tab, and where I live is very difficult to get the HDMI adapter from Samsung. I´ve seen the "Apple Digital AV Adapter" for iPad (30 pin connector with HDMI), and the Galaxy Tab has 30-pin conector too, the Apple adapter will work to conect to my TV via HDMI? Thanks
No, the two interfaces may look the same but they are not.

Oh! Ok thanks

[Q] Multiple Bluetooth connections to ICS

Hello,
I am wanting to setup a work station to use my phone as a 'desktop'
I have a mhl to hdmi adaptor ordered, I might have to use the 3pin pogo for power to the phone but I need a keyboard and mouse to connect to my phone.
My question is, does ics 4.0.3 on my Galaxy Nexus support two Bluetooth devices connected at the same time?
Thanks
Dan

I have same idea. So far I find out that S7 slim is not USB OTG capable (means it could be slave but not master in USB connections). Maybe there is the way to use some software to make S7 to act as a host since it have power on USB connector to supply usb flash.
Regarding 10 pin connector I couldn't find any info accept info on docking devices... According to that information: 10 pin connector is used for keyboard etc. Maybe it have digital audio and video out but you need to make some DA converter etc. cause I tested every pin with others and find out that there is no analog signals outputs (for audio).
I think that those information helped (to gett you on the right track) but I also like to hear
some opinion on the subject from experience members...
You have some other thread for docking (it's what 10 pin connector is) so you can read those.

[Q] Connectivity GT-I9305 with MHL Micro USB to RCA

Hi 1 week ago i bought this cable to connect my phone with LCD radio in car which have AV input. Can somebody help me if this cable is even good for s3 LTE and which micro usb is using (5 or 11 pin type) . Do anybody have experience with that and already connect s3?
The cable must be 11 pin and designed to work with the S3 model you have. The device you connect it to must also be MHL enabled.
