tern off - device.
hold vol up+home+power >>>>wipe everything..
after wipe., restart the phone...and you will get clean Rom like first time
you can delete your nondroid back up (if you forgot the password), make new one again.
tried wiping through CWM no dice, flashed back to generic rom, tried to wipe it through there then it asks me for my password gg.

come on man !!
in recovery:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe chache partition
go to advenced:
wipe dalvik cache
wipe battery stats
restart phone, and wait until is load.
People have reported that you can't remove the password by doing a factory reset. I was quite surprised by this myself, but have found a way to do it. I've never forgotten my password (I have a pattern, rather than a pin/password), but I've flashed a few kernels and have noticed that whatever pattern I use will work, until I set it again.
Try flashing a new kernel and see if that helps. Like I said, I use a pattern so I don't know if it will work for a pin or password.
Good luck mate

Tried that dont work only way i can get into my phone is to flash cm7 ! For some reason that rom dont see the password from fresh ?!? only thing ive not done is flashed odin and re partioned ?!?
The lock passwords, pins, and patterns are saved on the /efs partition which is not touched during flashing. That is why flashing is not fixing anything
CM7 would bypass it since it uses the original Android lock setup not the Samsung modified.

the singing in to unlock procedure doesn't require any kind of data connection as it compares the credentials entered to the google account already registered in the device without needing a data connection

We tried it many times .Please someone help us.
I'm hesitant right now, cause I might just assume that someone might have stolen a phone and now asks for how to unlock it. But anyways, there was just a piece of information on cracking pattern-lock on xda. Google might help you find it.

If i use stock rom and use odin to flash it ,Do all the data will be saved?
For other person who talk about spy.
i said to you guys.I have a shop i fix it to people it's not mine.I make money when i fix it to them.I have a small shop in Iraq.
If the phone has usb-debugging on. You can use adb to delete the pattern. How to do it was on news (of xda) a while ago. You should be able to find to find it from there.

if you flash stock rom without wipe data factory reset , your data'll save and the pattern lock is still the same.
if you wipe it, you will lose your data(but files in storage still the same if doesn't format) at all.

Hello,
If i want to sell my device and be 100% sure to delete all files.
What is the best thing to do?
Cause when i just delete storage it still says xx GB is used.
How to clean the entire phones of all files?
Thanks!
Boot into Bootloader, and apply factory reset. when you reboot the phone, it is like a new one which has just come out of the box.

Oke today i wanted to send it away.
But when i go in bootloader and fac reset it just boots into TWRP
I have the stuff in my sig on the phone, how to return it to stock?
Hope someone can guide me in the right direction
I purchased a cheap tablet from Walmart to play around for $19. I used Kinko Root but since I've done this, every boot-up is a hard reset. I have since removed Kinko boot but it continues. Any ideas?
Factory Reset doesn't resolve the problem either.
Model: dpa23d-4s
What's your interpretation for Hard Reset? Going back to factory settings?

That is correct. Each time I reboot or power off/on it returns to the sign up for a new Google account, select time zone, etc.
I guess there's something going on with the Kinko-root still... Might have changed some files, like the Mounting option for your Data and such... Try flashing stock ROM over your current one...
Did someone found a solution,
I have the same problem... and cannot find the stock ROM on the internet...

It has to be software related, i don't think any wrong configuration in hardware could do this. So i'm guessing there's a problem with the system mounting or such, could you provide me a log showing what happens?

Im guessing u didnt have remote wipe setup? If he know anything about modding phones he maybe able to get past scanner with twrp. Other wise no hell only be able to wipe the phone. Make a police report asap and report it stolen to ur carrier they can sometimes block the imei and blacklist it.

I have ,but theres no internet ..plus he turned off the phone. He just needs to boot to twrp recovery then wipe data ,reboot then everything is back up but my contents will remain. If that's the case then fingerprint security or any other kind of security is useless...

Well thats the problem with custom recovery its a security flaw only way to be 100 percent is if the phone was encrypted then hed need a password for twrp.
Cuz if there was stock recovery his only option would be to wipe the whole phone not just data
Sorry to hear that buddy. Since a bad experience i always use Cerberus///
Go to android device manager web page and login with your current gmail id that actual login on your stolen phone you can wipe your phone remotely and see on map best of luck
