Hi guys, could you please recommend an app that can monitor CPU and Battery temperature on our Galaxy S3?
Thanks
Temp+Cpu V2 in the market.
puts a 1X1 widget on your desktop that shows free Ram, Batt Temp, cpu usage, and clock speed.
have been using it forever....works great.
Is it compatible with Galaxy S3?
Yes

I've tried a fair number of Launchers/Homescreen Apps
but which one has the lowest memory footprint?
Even a dummy one without an app drawer is ok, I can use other ways of getting at my apps/widgets/shortcuts.
Thanks!
I found zeam to be very lightweight but they vary depending what widgets you use

Absolutely :good:
I flashed CM10.1-lemon to my old Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 and while Trebuchet is impressive - I really like it - it's somewhat heavy for my old companion.
So, after trying a lot of launchers I found Zeam which is simply excellent: it's lightweight (then: FAST!), does not hog my smartphone, does support widgets and fits perfectly its role of launching apps.
Nevertheless it isn't the ideal launcher for any 'launcher geek/freak/enthusiast/power user' since it lacks a lot of options you find on more robust alternatives like Trebuchet[0] but still it does admirably well its job.
I totally encourage you guys give it a try if you're running your droids on old HW.
[0] Trebuchet is to KDE SC what Zeam is to LXDE (only that prettier).
Nova, Apex, all these launchers are pretty light nowadays. Kindly don't bring up a 18 months old topic unless it's absolutely necessary!

I use grenade launcher atm. Also try sf launcher, sicksky launcher, or even lighting launcher. All on the play store.

228kb :good:
Size of the launcher doesn't always correspond to ram usage.
Holo launcher, smart launcher, zeam, all use between 30-40mb ram.
Because of this I prefer holo launcher. One of the few launchers that allow you to hide apps in the app drawer, it's free with no adds. And supports icon packs for multiple launchers. And supports 2.3 and 4.0+.
Go launcher, launcher pro use 40+ mb.

Sorry to tell you, it takes 26MB just like the rest of the smallest launchers.

v2.0 takes even more. It was over 50MB
Zeam takes about 28MB, but it starts real quick. About 1 second on my LG Sunrise.
korrectmethod knows what he's talking about. I haven't seen any decent launcher take less than 20MB memory.
If someone could prove me wrong that'd be awesome.
And no, mini desktop is *not* a decent launcher.
I love the look of this but it seems to be a pretty big battery hog being a live wallpaper. Does anyone know of a comparable / similar clock that might not be as brutal on my battery?

In my opinion stock lockscreen is the best.. coz custom lockscreen will eat up ram and some amount of battery too..
But if you are not affected by these factors then you may try out one of the following which i do prefer over other lockscreens..!!
- widgetlocker
-go locker

I agree with @Strider_RD. The stock lock screen that comes bundled in the stock 4.2.1 ROM is the best as it doesn't consume as much RAM as third party lock screen apps do and has more functionality as well (such as the ability to add widgets). I have personally used Holo Locker which is exactly like the locker found on stock 4.1.2 ROMs and consumes around 25-30 MB of RAM; it does not support widgets either. I am not sure about Widget Locker though. If you want to use the older Android lockscreens found on Eclair, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, you could try LockBot ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jackdoit.lockbotfree).

Dash Clock is a very cool addition to the 4.2 lock screen. It gives you quick access to unread messages and weather details and so much more. I don't think it consumes a lot of RAM either. The widget is worth giving a try.

hi
im using holo lock and paid around INR 50 for the feature were in i can have my custom wall paper i prefer lord Ganesha as i would like to see him when i get up in the morning its good enough for me their are many free ones available on play but i liked this one:good::laugh:
I use WidgetLocker. It has alot of themes. I dont mind about the ram it use coz our phone has 1gb of ram so it doesnt matter. I'm using the Halo Lockscreen theme now. Just search for it in google
I have used a lot of lockers but ultimately returned back to the default lock screen.
The main problem with custom lockers is that they use a lot of ram .The more they look pretty, the more ram they use.
BTW ,that is your choice.
The better lockers are------
magic locker
go locker
holo locker
I use sparky lock screen win8 style n it doesn't use so much of ram. But stock is the best.
