Excellent Work!
Great job! Saves a lot of time for users wanting to get this working All work perfectly for me
I'm just wondering why you would do mappings for Shadowgun, Max Payne & Grand Theft Auto III. They all support native Gamepad Support? Is it personal preference on the layout?

Not sure if it even matters, I don't have a dock and didn't know if it would work via bluetooth. And honestly I just didn't really think about it either. Just kind of went straight to mapping my own touch controls.

Is this a real question? Yes you need to buy the Sixaxis controller app to use Sixaxis controller mappings. Didn't think I needed to do this but here are the step by step instructions.
1 - BUY SIXAXIS APP
2 - Download my 2 files in original post
3 - Unzip all files from profiles.zip. You will see a bunch of .map files
4 - Put Modern Combat 3.map into /mnt/sdcard/data/com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller/profiles
5 - Open Sixaxis app, connect controller via bluetooth
6 - Choose Modern Combat 3 from Active Touch Profile pulldown menu
7 - Refer to Sixaxis Map.text for controls

Gotcha, it doesnt work! I did that all above and all I get is weapon switching and moving forward.
Second, when I first read your post, I assumed there wasnt an app needed because the TF201 has built in support for ps3 controller.
If I can get this to work it will be worth the 2 bucks I just spent

Do you have your control scheme set to Classic in the MC3 settings?
I figured it out. See I thought I could just use this with it being just USB but I guess u have to use it as Bluetooth. Still tweaking it though. Wish they would just support game pad control anyways. It would be easier since the prime already supports ps3 with USB and Bluetooth

Thanks! I'll try this out tonight. I have MC3 and Sixaxis, and a controller is really the only way to play that game with a 10" screen.
I am pretty happy with my MC3 map on Sixaxis, but it's definitely not perfect, so I'm always tweaking things around. Can't wait to see your approach, and try your profile.
Question, which controller setup should we use for your MC3 map? The in-game controller settings offer three different setups: virtual joystick, something else, and something else. Which should we use with your controller map?
Thanks again!

Sorry, misread your question. I wouldn't say gbcoid is optimized for tablet screens as the virtual controller button placement could be a hindrance at times. Aside from that [very] minor occasional inconvenience, it's very playable. Especially because you can change the Scaling of the screen to fit your preference.
*If you have a bluetooth controller, I imagine it would be 100% perfect.

Hey can you tell me the steps to get FPse working? i got the app and i installed the bios file. is there any like a specific place to save the bios file?
as for roms. do u have to do any steps? or just download from the site as a .bin file and copied it onto ur tablet? i copied the .bin file onto my tablet but FPse can't find it.
FPse. Since the last update added dual core optimization ... well everything just works, in fact it works TOO fast - I had to frame limit all my games and I had turned on all the tweaks. Tekken III runs beautifully. Additionally the sixaxis bluetooth controller works great with it.
Just wondering what emulators you guys recommend ? Used to use Nesoid for my DX and my wii controller and loved it. Would prefer to use an Xbox controller but not sure if that's possible. Thanks.

Hey just saw your post and thought I'd mention the one I've been using because I use them pretty often. I was a big nesoid fan until I recently found NES EMU on the Market. I can't think of the guys name off hand but he also has one for Sega, neo geo, colleco, and some others I'm forgetting. Anyway they are extremely well made and compatible with Bluetooth controllers so I definitely recommend them. I'm not sure about using an Xbox controller, but I know you can use a ps3 controller with the app called Sixaxis Controller by Dancing Pixel Studios. I set up touch profiles for MC3, Shadowgun, and Gta 3, and it's almost like having a portable console! I played through and beat MC3 with my ps3 controller and the controls are almost flawless. I'd also recommend fpse for PlayStation games and n64oid for Nintendo 64 games.

Hey sorry it took so long but yes you can save and load games. You can even set it to auto-save and you can access it all with a ps3 controller if you're using one. I'm impressed with the overall setup on all of his emulators. Hope it works out for ya man cause they are definitely my new favorites. I've also been messing around with the touch profiles in the Sixaxis Controller app, and if you have a ps3 controller hooked up you have to try Modern Combat 3 with it. I think it's a great game and nothing beats playing it with a ps3 controller because it's just like playing on a console! Let me know if ya need help setting up the touch profiles cause I can send ya the one I made. I've got all of the controls set up just like it's a ps3 first person shooter!

You can use a wiimote with most emulators using the wiimote app. I'm not sure how far they've come with the wiimote app though because I haven't used it for games in awhile. I have a windshield mount for my phone in my car so it's basically my car stereo, and I actually prefer using the wiimote as a remote because it's a lot easier to use when your driving. Other than that though I just use my dualshock 3 as my controller for my games because it works great most games and emulators.

From what I've read it has to be a sixaxis or a dualshock 3 but I'm not 100% sure. I've never tried anything other than my dualshock 3 so I don't know if an aftermarket one will work or not. I hit up craigslist and found an official one for pretty cheap.

You need to get the app called Sixaxis Controller by Dancing Pixel Studios on the Market first. Then you have to follow their instructions to pair the controller to the touchpad. It's pretty easy and you only have to do it once, but you need the Sixaxis Pairing Tool for your pc. Plug the controller into your pc with it's usb cable and then run the pairing tool on your pc. On your Touchpad the Sixaxis Controller app will show you the Bluetooth address of your Touchpad at the bottom. Enter that address into the pairing tool on your pc so the controller knows what bluetooth address to pair with. Then hit start in the Sixaxis Controller app and it will connect to your ps3 controller and the light on the controller should change to number 1. From then on anytime you want to connect it to your Touchpad press the ps button on your controller then just open Sixaxis and hit start and it'll connect. If you want to use it with your ps3 again you just need to plug it in with the usb cable to the ps3 and it will re-sync to it. Hope this helps

Yes.. It work in any game. Works exactly like i does with a gamepad.
What this update brings is that you can use the keyboard with touchprofiles. And that the mouse gets a touch button joystick or what I should call it.
If you are familiar with Sixaxis controller app or USB /BT joystick and have done Touchprofiles before is piece of cake.
The w.s.a.d keys are acting like a joystick. Place that above the joystick you see on the left in the game and are used for movement. And the mouse is like a joystick that are either "fixed" or "free" depending on your game. For MC3 you will use "fixed". Other games works fine with "free" type.
And if you get the app. Take some time and read his guides that are good and pretty easy to understand.
Wouldn't you have to "re-center" the mouse though in the same fashion that to stop moving you would have to move the joystick that you're holding down left back to the center?
Damn! I hope we can root .21 soon =(

Yes. It works everywhere.
What the program does is that it emulate your fingers. If you can control the game with your fingers it will work with USB, BT joystick center.
For example.. When playing normal with your fingers and want to fire you tap the fire button with your finger.
If you now want to use the left mouse key to fire you hold left mouse key and then touch with your finger on the fire button to add a Touch profile button above the games button.
Now when pressing left mouse it will act like you touch the fire button with your finger.

Please support the dev. He has been working really hard to get this to work for all of us.
Having trouble making this setup work for Shadowgun as you can see in the video.
I am trying to play the version of Shadowgun that was included in a bundle from Gamestop when I purchased my ASUS Transformer Prime using the ASUS matching keyboard dock and a mouse and the USB/BT JoyCenter app with its USB/BT Joy2Touch plugin. I believe I am having issues because Shadowgun automatically switches to gamepad mode with no onscreen touch movement controls when the tablet is placed in the dock, and I see no way to force touch controls which I believe are necessary for the USB/BT app to allow a mouse and keyboard to work. Anyone have a workaround for this?

Looking for games that have gamepad support that work with TF300. I use a logitech wireless f710 gamepad. Will update the list as people contribute (hopefully).
1. GTA III
2. Riptide GP THD
3. ShadowGun THD
4. SNESoid
5. N64oid
6. GenPlusDroid
7. Gameboid
8. PSX4Droid
9. Sonic 4 Episode 2
10. Sonic CD
11. Soulcraft THD
12. Gloomy Dungeon 3D
13. Renaissance Blood THD
I can confirm that both N64oid and SNESoid work fine with the PS3 controller and allow for button rebinding so should be fine with any controller.
GenPlusDroid also works fine with the same UI settings as SNESoid.
Gameboid using a wiimote works great.

If you have PS3 controller and sixaxis controller app you can pretty much play any touch game that has a virtual analog stick and several buttons (e.g. Galaxy on Fire 2) using the touch emulation option.
Just enter the desire game and take a screenshot of the controls. Then go to the sixaxis controller app, tap on the three little squares on the top right, enter preferences. In preferences go into Touch Emulation>Edit Touch Profiles. Double tap the screen for the menu, select Change Background, look for the screenshot you just took of your game controls. Then double tap the screen once again and start adding buttons with the Add Button menu. Just drag and drop wherever you want. If the game has an virtual analog joystick just use the ANALOG_LEFT button and set it on top of it. There you have play almost any game with your PS3 controller. Get creative....
And remember to save your profiles with the name of each respective games. You can change controller profiles right under the Pair Controller button in the Sixaxis Controller app. Happy gaming yall!!!!!!!

I tried out some of the Sonic games. The new Sonic 4 Episode 2 THD is good to go for controller use (at least on the lite version it is). Unfortunatley Episode 1 is just a mess. Kind of work, kind of doesn't. Sonic CD works too.

Yes, Sixaxis Controller app requires root. Have you tried looking in the tablet's settings>Language & Input> there under Keyboard & Input Methods you should see the controller listed, enter the setting of the controller and try looking for touch emulation there.

I'm not rooted. Don't see myself rooting anytime soon. Perhaps down the line.
I'm familiar with the sixaxis app, I played around with it on my Nook Color before. Didn't know about the touch emulation at the time.
Just configured a profile for touch emulation for SoulCraft works great. Although I'm not too thrilled about the game, waiting for Dark Kingdom.

Are you sure? In the app description it says root access required. Did you get it working without root? Even touch emulation?

Ah you were talking about the controller not the app. Yes you can get the controller to work if you have the dock or a usb adapter to connect it too.

Pretty sure PSX4droid will work with a controller.
I'm looking for suggestions for the best Android emulators. I already have DosBox Turbo but i am looking for NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, PS1, and any others. I am looking for the best ones out there, paid or free it doesn't matter to me.
Thanks in advance

RetroArch is the best all in one emulator.

Yes, that's the one.
I've had a bunch of hassle with RetroArch. I can't seem to play any SNES game or PSX game for more than 15 seconds before I get kicked back to the emu select screen. I tried reinstalling and the problem is still there.
I'll have to go back to Super GNES and FPSE.

I'd never heard of RetroArch before reading this thread but I'm having the same exact same problem with it.
Not sure if you forgot N64 games but if you want, n64oid is the best for n64 roms.
Fpse is working great fory playstation needs. currently playing Diablo 1

Nothing will come close to Retroarch. Especially on the note 2. N64 is getting added to it as well as other systems.

Video of various systems on the note 2. Obviously it works perfectly.
Can someone pm me a safe rom site to use? Haven't used emulators since my bolt and not sure what's safe anymore

None of the ps1 roms I'vefound work in retro or fpse? I've tried isos bins 7z and zip?

Does DOSbox turbo work without a physical keyboard on the N2?

You can see retroarch playing ps1 games on a note 2 flawlessly. So obviously the issue is on your end.
I find that retroarch lacks in configuration where a normal standalone emulator exceeds, they make for better compatibility with games and performance tweaks. The downside is that standalones are about $4 each.

Can you elaborate on this? Retroarch is getting in game menus, built in wii remote support, and more cores. What do the paid emus who run worse and have frameskip on do better?
The wii remote is garbage for any system post Genesis. You need more buttons. I'm using sixaxis and dualshock3 controller. Like said before though, the configuration in retro is a little weak compared to all the oids with button mapping at least

You can plug in a plethora of different controllers into the wii remote, giving you a ton of options. You can see here with the official Neo Geo arcade stick plugged into the wii remote.

Retroarch has native Sixaxis controls. Configure the pad with the sixaxis app and set it to gamepad mode, and retroarch fully maps it out for you by default.
The configuration for the button mapping is identical to the oids and other emus, you can manually go in and set each button on the controller with whatever you are using. Can you again tell me what else you think the paid emus do better so i can tell the devs directly? Feedback is important, so i'd like to know what else to suggest. So far you've just mentioned stuff retroarch already does out of the box.
