This is not a "Which ROM is best?" thread.
Rather this is based on my awareness that there are phones called Galaxy S II with 2 different processors out there.
How do I tell which ROMs are for which phone? It seems that all the G S II's are lumped together in one forum.
For the hercules, non here.

This thread belongs in Q&A.
Better yet - look at vibrant (since your from us and tmobile) forum.
Ah i get it, OP meant to say
"Which forum is right"
i think the "Witch" ROM
i lol'd
This thread is an ultra-fail. OP spelling and grammar is a mess =P
If it's the T-Mo Vibrant, go to that forum...if it's an I9000 variant, stay here. Pretty simple.
Either way, this ain't dev, so thread reported.
Im so lost lol apparantly theres about 50 galxy s phones

Yeah something like that
The US variants (TMo Vibrant, AT&T Captivate, Spring Epic, Verizon Fascinate) all have their own forums.
There are smaller carriers with US variants like CellSouth or US Cellular, no idea where they go I also don't know where the Telus Fascinate goes, but the Bell Vibrant (which is really an I9000M) and any other I9000 goes here.
Since it sounds like this is actually for a T-Mobile Vibrant instead of the i9000, I've moved it to the Q&A section for that device.
OP, please take a moment to read the following thread, for guidelines on proper thread placement, particularly regarding the dev section:

Everyone go vote here to help get the Skyrocket its own forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301121
Even if you have and love the Original SGS2, vote so that we can keep our own forum!
The Skyrocket has a completely different SoC. The Skyrocket is AT&T's high-end LTE device. The Skyrocket deserves its own forum.
The differences between the Skyrocket and the OGSGS2 are huge and might lead to bricked devices. It is in everyone's interest for their to be a dedicated Skyrocket forum!
So everyone, please go vote for Skyrocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No... That section you link to is a sub-forum for the Skyrocket, but it needs to be located in a Forum separate from the SGH-I777 forum due to the hardware differences. Besides the name, there are very few if any similarities between the two.
Don
ETA: I already voted too btw.
Yes Yes......
And Please Us Skyrocket people lets try and STOP making thread in the general section.....we have a sub forum for now. lets fill that up if anything.
Let the OGSGS2 users Kind of have there forum back...lol
Done. Get out of our forum!

Why are you asking in the SGS2 Q&A forum ? Go ask in the Note forum.
No real purpose over here. All the devs know about the Note already

There are two variations now. My assumption is that the roms are hardware specific?
I would assume that roms or mods made for the international version should not be flashed to the US/Canada versions?
We saw these compatibility issues when Barnes and noble released 2 different variations of the nook tablet. Some Dev insight would be great.
I will be filming tutorial videos for this phone and want to make sure warnings on the videos are proper. Thanks.
Of course roms are hardware specific. No need to question that.

my point is that it leads to the next question, should xda create a separate forum section for the north american version instead of just combining both in the SIII in general

+1 For separate model numbers within Galaxy S3 forum section. This would take a lot of the confusion out which roms to flash.

They will.. as they did with galaxy s2. Wait till that device launches and they will all have their respective forums... AT&T, TMob, Veriz, This forum has even been updated from "Galaxy SIII" to "Galaxy SIII GT-I9300"

This Might Be one of the dumbest question to ask. but yeah I feel like im lost here in the s2 section of xda.. So i am seeking answer:
There is three section for developments:
Galaxy S II Original Android Development
Galaxy S II Android Development
Galaxy S II I9100G Android Development
My Phone Model Says GT I9100 so I guess third one is not for me.. but about the 1st two im confused. Which one should is for my phone?
Please help me out.
This has already been discussed on XDA.
Original dev is for things derived mostly from source, ie kernels and AOSP based roms etc.
Other section is for derivative roms, ie roms that are based on other built orms but had some modifications like apps/themes/fixes etc.
Bottom line, pick any ROM from the first two and you're golden. Steer clear of the i9100G forum.
