And rather than create a new thread, if you all use monthly4g, have any of you been able to setup the e911 address for wifi calling? Doesn't matter what browser, it doesn't let me change it on the website, and I've had 2 people in india swear to me they've updated it.. yet I can't use the wifi calling, and it is driving me nuts.
Any tips, or a PM, would be appreciated.

The password will be send directly trough your phone (your login number) as far as'i know they never send password to the email as for security measured that someone might be messing with his/her account..

After signing up for the rewards link that the OP posted, it takes you to this page http://rewards.monthly4g.t-mobile.com/SignIn.aspx
Trying to sign in there with the normal number/password you access "my t-mobile" with doesn't work, and clicking forgot password results in it SAYING it will email you a password.. but since I tried doing it last night, nothing has come thru.
I really want this deal, as a broke ass college student, if I can pay less than the $64.20 I pay per month now.. hell yes.
Edit: Of course I just moved into a place where the signal is so bad that I can't receive most calls/texts, and it appears thus far that wifi calling can't work with monthly4g - or at least I can't get them to properly add my e911 address so it WILL work - I need confirmation of this or I may end up leaving tmobile, at least the monthly4g service.. does anyone have wifi calling working, and if so how did you setup the e911 address? The website won't let me change it, and people in India aren't that bright thus far..

Just changed 911 address. Use T-Mobile support website chat and they to do it for you.
After one minute I’ve got the blue WIFI calling icon and the service start to work. (Website 911 data appears <updates> after 2 days)
Be sure not to update the billing address instead 911!

Wi-Fi calling definitely works on monthly4g. If you hit up a store they can fix it for you. Only takes a second for them to do it. The only other requirement for wifi calling on the amaze is a GBA sim card. But you most likely have one of those already.

FYI...
Wifi calling in monthly 4k works. But it also count against your allocated minutes. Unless you have signal issue, there is no advantage to use it.

to get wifi calling you have to set up your 911 address by editing customers information . Each rom i used on all 4 for my amaze wifi calling is automatic .
thank god cause i do all my work n fun time in the basement of my house so service is like calling from hell very HOT hahahaha or you can go to the store they will fix it for you and maybe give you a free updated sim card ^_^

I'm trying to call so that I can my activation fee waived, but everytime I call I get some stupid foreign person.
They have a thick ass accent that you can't understand and don't know what they're talking about. What are my chances of getting someone who knows how to speak English correctly? I honestly think that by calling Sprint I just got some person in India.

Furthermore, my Airave arrived yesterday, but the GPS is blinking green and the Mobile is blinking orange. How can I fix? Am I supposed to link my phone up or something. Also, on the paper that arrived with the Airave my phone number ended in 8652, when it actually ends in 8246. Could that be the problem? Could someone please help me?
I just contacted them through the online chat and told them I didn't realize I would be charged an activation fee because it is free online and then asked them to waive it. Give it a shot.

Read the user guide that came with the Airave, it tells you what the blinking LEDs mean. If the GPS is blinking green, then it's trying to acquire a GPS lock. A GPS lock is needed so the Airave knows what spectrum is used in your area so the Airave can select the correct frequencies. If you can't get a GPS lock, try using the included external antenna and placing it on a near a window. The Airave will have a different # than your phone.
Yea the initial load on the airrave will take a while..I had to use the gps antenna and actually run it through the window and stick it outside on the balcony. After you do that there is a small reset button in the back and push it with a paper clip..don't unplug it again..also make sire u.reset you modem..sometimes the airwave comes un activated so if it don't work after that give sprint a call..if u get any orange lights something is not right..but they will flash green for a while..I live my airave . I get 1.5 mbs down throughout the entire.house

The GPS locked on yesterday, now it's flashing.
The Mobile doesn't stop flashing, and it's flashing orange.
Also, the Airave and the External Antenna are both on my Window.
On chat with a rep right now to get mine reversed...........Success. Took about 10 minutes total.

I hope it works. For some reason, on the Sprint website it says that I ordered 2 Airaves, however, only one has arrived, and I only remember ordering one.
I have checked your account and yes, there is 2 Airave device added on your account Accidentally, however please do not worry, I will set one Airave device for cancellation and within 2 hours, you will receive a call back from the account services team just to confirm, and for canceling, you will not be charged anything, I assure you about that.

I don't mind foreigners. My wife has an accent and is a resident. I don't like outsourcing though. If they are a foreigner living in America and giving back to our economy cool...but if it is outsourced to a 3rd world country so the CEO of Sprint can pocket a few extra million a year then it pisses me off.

the airave uses your home internet connection, you would get even better speeds (and probably battery life) using wifi.

I know we have some AT&T employees on here, hopefully one of you can answer my question. I chatted online with a rep and they gave me some useful stuff, but not quite as detailed as I would like.
I am currently on my family's plan, but my parents made hints to me recently that I could maybe split off eventually, so I was considering doing it this summer when I am working again and have time to build up cash to hold me over the next school year.
Anyways, I confirmed in my chat with the rep that I will be able to transfer my unlimited data to a new individual plan. I then asked if there were any discounts for college students, and she led me to the premier page, and I was able to verify that my school has some sort of discount or deal through AT&T. However, figuring out what that discount that is is messy, and I was not able to figure out what.
Can any of you figure out what discount my school has? My family currently has a 25% discount from my mom's job, if it were something like that, I would be thoroughly pleased, as paying a hundred bucks a month would be much worse than around 75.
I know that in one of the long past threads there was a link to the premier discount sheet or something that one of you posted. I would like to keep as much personal info off of here as possible, so if you need my school to check for me, please pm me.

I can tell you that I used to work directly for AT&T as a U-Verse Technician and only received an 18% service discount. However when I switched to a different company I started receiving a 23% corporate discount.
It's weird how att assigns its discounts but id expect at least a 20% university discount if not more.

I did that before, but when I tried to use my current number they wouldn't allow me to set up the rest of my account without linking my current family plan, for which I need the last four of my moms ssn.

In that case, I would advice you to call the AT&T Premier Support and have them check if they can create a new account while keeping your same number. If they can't then you might need to port your current number out to prepaid temporarily and then proceed with the above steps and then port it back when you create a new account. But I would give Premier call first and see what they say.
Ok. There is also a corporate store near me, so maybe I'l swing by there tomorrow and check it out. If they can't answer me then I'll call up support.
sounds like you want to do a transfer of billing responsibility to your name and social. you can do so at https://www.att.com/olam/loginAction.olamexecute?target=ToS by logging into the current account. Normally you can't keep unlimited data if you do so, but this will at least allow you to create a new account under your name. You can always add the discount after the account is established. If you prefer to keep the account under their name in case your discount is less, you can call care and have them split the bill so another account is created under their name and same discount with a separate bill and account number (this method does allow you to keep unlimited data. The transfer of billing responsibility to change to your name does not).
One way you can see what discounts your school qualifies for is by clicking on link from premier in the school inbox and on the bottom right of the page that loads, there is a link that says available offers. Once you click on that, it shows you all discounts you receive from your school. Should look like this http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/8589/discountn.jpg. This is just to see what the discounts are, not to create the account as it will try to convert the entire account you have to this new discount.

welchertc: The discounts can vary. They may not be the same from one school to another (as far as I can tell). Usually the school can tell you what the discount rates are though so maybe you can call or look on their web site. Also, (at least in my case), AT&T recognizes my school's ip addresses and directs me to an appropriate page that has all the discounts already set up when you shop. If you have access to the school and can get on their computers, try surfing to AT&T wireless from there, you should be directed to a Premier page. Hope this helps.
Lastly, you get discounts on-line that do not seem to apply if you go through their brick and mortar operation (such as waiving the activation fee). Any AT&T person can chime in if that's incorrect but that has been my experience.
On a similar note to your op, my gfs brother is on our family plan and we gave him tthe hint to maybe move on his own soon. Our store reps said we couldn't transfer the unlimited data from his line to a new account. Wtf? So is it possible then, assuming the Rep u spoke to was correct ..

While doing a transfer of billing responsibility from your parents account to your own you will probably not keep your unlimited data unless you do it in the store and even then it's not guaranteed unfortunately.
Most school discounts that I have seen are between 10% and 15%.

As cool as it'd be for the unlimited plan to transfer AT&T is very strict on that grandfathered plan. I don't see them transferring the plan with the number since the plan is tied to the account.
You would essentially have a new account with a transferred number. And if that's the case the data package would not transfer. But you might get lucky.

When chatting with the representative, they made it clear that so long as I keep my number, they treat it as the same line, just split off of the family plan with a new individual one, and that I could keep my unlimited plan. I'm not worried about that too much.
Anyways, I don't see much of a benefit to me splitting off of my family plan yet, so I probably wont until I am on my own financially. When that is the case, based on my likely salary, paying for the top level data plan at the time wouldn't be much of an issue to me. That is if I somehow lose my unlimited. Which I don't think I will.
I think what that Rep is saying is if you assume responsibility for your line which is different than starting a new one from scratch and trying to transfer your number or data plan ...

Hmm. I was planning on swinging by an AT&T store sometime in the next few days anyways. I suppose I'll figure it out then. If it won't be transferable, I'll just have to stick with my family plan as long as possible and start paying my parents for my portion of the plan. We'll see.
Ok, just chatted with another rep, and they confirmed what you are saying. I cannot simply split off and keep my unlimited data. However, if I get a bit messy, I can. All I need to do is make my line the primary line on the family account, release the rest of my family so they can start a new family plan, and then I can keep my unlimited data and switch to an individual plan. you can split off account to a new one, and keep it in their name. you will all keep unlimited that way. you only lose it when switching account to your name.

Yeah, but then I would have to deal with paying my mom for the bill and whatnot. They want me eventually to have a completely independent plan of my own, so I will likely do it in the way I stated in my previous post.
And I'm going to try and convince my sister to share the plan with me, it would only be 75 bucks a month for each of us as opposed to 110 for just me on my own.

Everyone who has placed a Evo 4G LTE Pre-order is expecting shipment information ANY MOMENT NOW.
Sprint (who I placed my order with about 2 minutes after pre-orders opened) should be sending notification emails out to us as soon as out phones ship, but I consider that unlikely to happen in a timely fashion.
Please use this thread to post when you receive your shipping confirmation/tracking number so that the rest of us can start refreshing our respective order status pages furiously.
The currently accepted Sprint methods of checking for tracking numbers are:
1. Wait @ your email inbox for a confirmation email
2. Visit www.sprint.com/myorder and type in your order number
It is important to note here that the order number found on your sprint.com order history (starts with DM...) will give you bogus info here. You need to find the preorder confirmation email that has an order number starting with "OY"

Should I view the lack of posts in this thread to mean that nothing was shipped out last night to pre-order customers?
Personally I'm unable to track by reference and the various traps I've placed (UPS/MyChoice, Sprint order status, etc) have yet to trip for me - but I was hopeful that at least some had shipped overnight.

Yes, but it is still pretty early. Considering the sheer volume of posts on the original "Preorder/Customs" thread late into the night (before being closed...) i would expect that volume on XDA wont pick up until later this morning.
I tried the methods and didnt find info about my tracking numbers, but as several others have posted, many times items are shipped and delivered before tracking numbers are posted.
I will continue to read the threads today and hope to have a package when I get home from work tonight. If not, hopefully it will ship tonight and get it tomorrow.
Anyone that has been using UPS MyChoice for a while. You ever have it not tell you a package was on the way and have it show up? Just curious.

*EDIT: I withdraw my questioning of this process. Even though there were 2 reference numbers created, I can limit the date to a smaller window, and my tracking information is now available.

i've been keeping up with this whole debacle since i placed my pre-order on may 7.
has anyone actually verified this suggested tracking number retrieval process that everyone is clinging to for hope? at least for me, i'm 99% sure it's not the information i'm trying to find. whenever i follow this process, the UPS system says that my delivery was completed 5/17/12 at 1:05pm in North Carolina.
i live in Oklahoma... additionally, Sprint still lists my order as in progress, not completed.
there haven't been many others that i've seen have much or any luck with this either. most people can't even get it to find their elusive shipment information in the UPS system.
just wanted to throw this info out there for anyone receiving strange results while using the suggested method.
Sounds like it was just a coincidence that another shipment used a reference number that matched your Sprint account number.
I'm not saying one way or another if the Sprint account number is used by UPS as a reference number, just saying that with the massive amount of shipments in their system, it isn't unlikely for their to be a few coincidental matches.

I called the 800 number. I would assume they are shipping both. I asked about pre-orders specifically.

To the stores, maybe, but to customers, I wouldn't assume that...because that would result in an awful lot of Sprint pre-orderers that would be mad as hell...and I don't think Sprint would be foolish enough to allow that.

I have actually suspected this method myself... but I recently completed an order for a new iPhone for my wife (i know... yuck) and that order shows up when i do the UPS "Search by Reference" method.
Interestingly, if i look at the order information page, it shows the iPhone order as "Pending" and has no tracking number. Hmmm....

Best Buy is one of Sprint's biggest customer. Making Best Buy happy is better then any one customer sprint has.

Ok. Where are the shipments? I thought for sure they would have started rolling out the door by now.
I don't buy the sprint shipping notification is slow line. UPS tracking should be telling us something by now.

I have seen that a few people have said they managed to call VZW or go to a local VZW store and get an ISIS SIM sent to them even outside of the ISIS test area, but I have read that others were not able to convince them to send one... I was just browsing around in My Verizon on the website and found that I had the ability to request one myself, and it let the order go through even when I told it what phone number to link it to and where to ship it to, both of which are in southwest MO.
It may be possible that they will cancel the order, as I only placed it 5 minutes ago, but it could be worth a shot if you want one but are too lazy to haggle.
This is what I think I did, but I cannot exactly duplicate it so the path may be different - see below the instructions for why.
1. Log into My Verizon
2. Click on "Change Minutes, Text, & Data"
3. Select the device from the tab-style list on the top
4. Click the link that says something like "Get a SIM with an NFC Secure Element" (mine was the last link in the list in the content area of the page)
5. Just place the order and it should complete.
Now the reason I can't duplicate this or go back and check what things actually said is because I chose to do it for my line, and now whenever I try to go back and do the same thing for my wife it says that I must activate my recently ordered SIM before I can make changes, and the shipping I chose was 3 - 5 day shipping, so I will have to wait to get mine before I order one for my wife I guess.
Anyway, YMMV but I figured I would share this.
Yea.. I did same thing last week and got one.. I'm in Richmond, va. Doesn't do much for me since I'm rooted on cm10.1 and can't use Isis anyway, but I had to get a new sim regardless BC I jacked my other one up..

Cool, glad to hear it worked for you already - I hadn't seen anyone post about it yet. I won't necessarily be able to use it either since I am rooted as well, I just thought I would share the info for those who wanted the SIM, maybe if more people get it someone will find a way to bypass the root check.
Also, I just got my shipment email, so I guess I don't have to worry about the order being cancelled anymore. I must say, that was quick for them to process and ship.

I just ordered it because its free and I just want to try Isis and see how it is. I'm still a fan of Google wallet any day.
Also I chose ground and they ship it FedEx 2 day. I see they shipped yours USPS must be random on who they choose

Same, I can't get Wallet to work so I figured I would play around with this in the mean time.
As for shipping, it got here today, so it was still a two day shipping time, but it came by USPS First Class from Fort Worth, TX. Haven't bothered activating it yet as I hardly ever go anywhere that supports NFC payments anyway, probably won't be anywhere like that for at least a month. I only go to Walmart and Sam's for groceries, neither of which have NFC readers, and only use drive through at McDonald's where they actually have a reader inside.

Probably because Verizon watches every move made on xda
I got a sim by walking into the store and asking for one. The girl there was quite helpful and we had a rather good discussion on upcoming possibilities. Not sure why so many are getting screwed. Guess Indiana has some nice folks working in those parts.
If I had to choose between Isis and Google Wallet, I'd go with Google. I like the setup better and it was easier to get working with my rooted phone.
I went into a local corporate store and picked up a se sim. At first they said they didn't know what it even was. Then a guy was like we have these white nfc sims. I was like I bet that is them. They looked it up and it was. They said they turned two other customers away that was asking for them earlier in the day.

Just read from many sources stating that right now Verizon is allowing customers to keep their unlimited data while upgrading their line. So if you have unlimited data on your line and are eligible for an upgrade, check it out and let us know your results.

I was seemingly able to keep unlimited data as well. The strange part is that I did not get any information concerning what data plan I have on the confirmation email or the order confirmation page. It definitely did not switch me off of unlimited during the checkout process though. In fact, I just tried it with another line (without finalizing the order) and it did the same thing. All it says is Plan Details: Voice: LINE ACCESS $9.99 0711. I think i saw someone else mention the same thing happening to them as well but am not sure. Anyone else seeing the same?

Yes the same thing happen for me last night when I tried. I went all the way to right before placing the order and it never mentioned my unlimited being changed. But there's no way I'm placing that order without having someone on the phone lol

Yes. I am seeing the exact same thing. It says my monthly cost is only 9.99 a month for that line. It shows no data plan. Early in the checkout it did say unlimited data, but didn't mention it again. I was afraid to order. Strangely, if I select the note 3 it will act normal. I am even able to go back and change the phone to the g2. It shows my unlimited data at the end. The only problem is I cannot enter the $60 off promo code. Didn't want to take a chance on the first method.

Also wanted to add that it should not be possible to have a $9.99 plan on a smartphone anyway. Really strange. The phone rep is now talking to a supervisor.

FWIW I checked my confirmation email and it still has the "Unlimited Email & Web for Smartphones (personal email)" for $29.99 listed under the Plan Features. I think I'll hold off on calling them pending your results, mfucci.
I just did this today to upgrade to a G2. Did not change my data (as far as I know) and still showed unlimited during checkout.
http://www.engadget.com/2013/09/29/verizon-wireless-website-unlimited-data-upgrade/ has a running comments section with people posting chat logs with verizon reps saying you will keep your unlimited
So it worked? If it did then I might go ahead with the order.

Not sure. The phone rep is now saying that I still do have unlimited data but that he is also encouraging me to cancel the order. My issue is strange though. I was able to complete the order without changing my plan but now have seemingly no data plan on my order confirmation.
oops...didn't see that the OP started two threads on this. Anyway, it worked for me. Upgraded today (via in-store pickup) and am currently using the G2. Checked my account after activation and it still shows the same plan with unlimited.

That is exactly what my order looked like. I didn't complete it because of this. No data was attached. My monthly charge was just 9.99.

That does sound strange. I posted earlier that I received a confirmation email that still showed the $29.99 unlimited data under the plan features, but judging by the rest of the comments on here it looks like I may be in the minority... I guess for me it's a good thing that the phone doesn't ship until mid-November since presumably that would give be a bit more time to cancel my order.
