Hi...
I got Htc One x two days ago. just yesterday it died and starting ending in " this build is for development purposes ....
Now,
it wont boot.
It wont factory reset.
It wont connect to the Pc what so ever.
plus the screen isnt brilliant white but like a damage screen.
i can go into the boot logger mode (and screen is fine)
How can i fix it, its a sogftware issue. please help, My credit car account hasnt yet been charge for the amount i paid. thanks

Hey guys this is my first post in the forums, and an unfortunate one at that !!
First of all I'd like to say thanks to anyone who can help a sister out , and thanks to all the people who contribute to XDA and it's awesome community.
Here is the issue, I was trying to switch the TP2 from Sprint to T-mobile services, followed directions as said and now the phone will not turn on at all.
However the phone is still being detected in device manager as an unknown device and it says Qualcomm CDMA technologies msm. I have tried installing the driver, with no results.
It will not go into boot loader, and it will not hard reset, I've tried every combination of pushing buttons I can think of, even the small little reset button.
Is this phone bricked?
Or is there a miracle that I can get it to work properly again?
EDIT: The strangest thing is that if the battery, sim, and sdcard are out the phone led will blink for a split second when connected usb to pc or a charger.
Hi, ive been lurking on the xda forums for months, and have succesfully roooted and run darky rom on my galaxy s. then i got a wildfire s second hand.
Now i decided to try for s-off and a custom cwm rom. downloaded all the files read everything i could, and have managed to brick it i think.
Result if i press power or volume down + power i get a flickering screen, it flashes grey for 2 sec, black 2 sec. there is a faint red glow to the right of the front htc logo...where i thought the camera was lol.
i was trying to use the htcdev.com route. downloaded :
PG7610000_Marvel_hboot_1.09.0099_2.13.401.3_0210_R.exe
and tried but it said i needed an earlier rom before i could update.
2.13.401.3 to be exact so i downloaded:
RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.3_Radio_47.23c.35.3037_7.54.39.28M_release_236989_signed.exe
which was hard to find and a pain to download...i ran this, it found my phone, gave me the usaul warnings, check battery etc, everything set so i told it go ahead, it ran for bout 7 or 8 minutes my phone went to a black screen with htc, did a progress bar then it said finished on the pc. left it for a few more minutes to be sure, then powered on my htc. screen starts flicking grey and white...
ive tried removing the battery, cant get into hboot, get no logos, no vibration, nothing.
sdcard has been removed and sim card.
usb cable inserted charges then goes to flickering screen. pc does not detect any android device connected...
this was bout 2 hours ago. searched all the forums i know, googled, found one post similiar but no1 really helped him just told him to take back for warranty...
i live in south africa, dont know of any cellphone shops that can help me, please say its not a lost cause...
before attempting this my hboot was:
0.90.000
radio 7.46.35.08
s-on
.........anything else you need to know just ask....oh was running the htc sync drivers with sync not running on a windows xp sp3 32bit...
any help HUGELY appreciated, sorry for the long post....
i would ask this in the htc wildfire s general section, people over there no this phone in and out and could help you out quick hope this helps good luck!

So i bought my HTC one on 4th of July from T-Mobile, was hell of an adventure saw dead pixel on mine in 2 days and the colors were different to be honest better than all other HTC one's.. blacks were deeper, whites were whiter..but the dead pixel and phone being different was worrysome so i changed the phone ..T-mobile did it without much problems .. Fast fwd to 10 days back the phone started giving foce close on apps "Gmail has stopped working" .. "Whatsapp has stopped working" so on and so forth even when i was not using those apps .. this was accompanied by phone hanging at times ... then started the random reboots .. I sent the feedback and error reports to HTC .. the screen would hang after and during calls .. Then final and most imp thing the phone screen hung and i could not put it to sleep or restart .. tried several times .. Then did a soft reset by holding the power button and now when the phone turned on it was stuck on boot screen for 10 minutes ... i kept soft resetting and after some attempts it booted .. Airplane mode was on.. and it had the default wallpaper and lockscreen .. then when i unlocked the screen it did not ask for my pin but showed that the phone was asking for a password to access storage and showed two buttons DECRYPT and EMERGENCY CALL .. Upon my investigation I realized it is an hardware issue.. the phone is not able to access drive and thinks it is encrypted .. tried to factory reset too ..
The phone was completely stock..Unrooted and i did not touch the bootloader at all..
The only reason i am writing this is coz if any of you are facing this problem ..get your phone exchanged and claim warranty..
I took it to T-Mobile with the dercypt mode still showing .. they tried to restart it and then it would not turn back on .. hence if u see decrypt mode ..rush to your seller .. do not try to restart it .. .....
Enjoy your one .. I hope this was a problem unique to me .. I love HTC One.. Hope HTC knows what they are doing and the product quality has not deteriorated ...

No I wrote this story in a neutral way so that it should not look like I am giving bad name to HTC or T-Mobile .. they are doing their part .. If u read carefully u will know I have written how it all started .. and the symptoms that occurred .. so what I am doing here is telling people that when they see these symptoms .. Just go and change your set .. don't try to root or s-off to fix it as this is hardware issue not many people know about decrypt mode .. Also they will try to blame u by asking if you tried to root or hack your phone ..
hi , I have my htc one for almost one year and one day it went crazy and started rebooting at random times. it was in this situation for a few days and one day when it restarted it got stucked in boot loop.
since then my phone doesnt boot.
I tried to get into recovery and when im there the vol keys doesnt work so i cant control nothing there and after few seconds it gets out and start looping again.
also the red light when i plug it to the comp or just charge it-doesnt show
pls help

Hey friends,, using HTC one X+ since two years had no problems yet.. But yesterday automatically the phone got switched off. First I thought battery might have drained since I was travelling i didnt gave it much imortance.
But now the phone is not booting up even it have been full charged,, it boots only upto HTC home screen. But if the deivce is connected to a charger it wroks fine.. Is it a battery issue or some thing wrong with software..
Please help me guys..I just wanted to confirm and check all possible ways before going to service center.
Give more info? It's like saying "my toaster died". What Tom are you on,? Etc (wasn't trying to be rude haha)
