Possible ? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Another Beginner here
I was wondering suppose I rooted my S II and installed a Custom ROM And wiped the stock Samsung ROM that came with my phone.
Is it possible for me to return my phone to it's original ROM completely stock as I received it from the store ?
Thanks
P.S : Sorry if this question has already been asked.

LoL
Go 2 www.samfirmware.com sign up download a stock rom 2.3 2.4 2.5 etc...
Also download odin from there and cooper.ops
the run odin (as admin) and select the cooper.ops and one pakage
also select the rom and flash leve till you c pass
HOPE I HELPED
Imaginary ICS is based on 2.3.6 - He edited the build.prop file to make it say 4.0.4.
You cant flash a backup of a stock ROM via CWM 4/5 as the ROM uses the ext4 filesystem. You'll need to flash via ODIN (stock rom from sammobile.com) or convert filesystem back to rfs and use a backup.
ODIN

Easiest way to root is to flash a rooted kernel, such as CF-Root kernel.
Here is the thread => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399&highlight=CF+Root
In Post #8 you will find CF-Root-SGS2_XW_NEE_LPG-v5.5-CWM5.zip which will work fine for your ROM.
Just download this kernel and flash it with Odin to your phone - as described in the first post.
If you want to remove the yellow triangle and reset the flash counter after flashing the CF-Root kernel, just use TriangleAway app from Chainfire (there is a link to it in the first post).
Good luck !

is it poosible to go to previous kernal after rooting?
also if you are planning to use other carrier make sure you have an unlock phone. If not, go to PLay Store and download Galaxy S2 unlock app.
You mean stock kernel? Yes, but only by flashing stock Samsung firmware.

That's not true. You can just flash the stock kernel without flashing the entire firmware.

Download a stock kernel, flash it in Odin. Not rocket surgery. You got your hand held on the first page & a half of this thread, time for you to do some reading/learning on your own; Stickies.

dont worry dude. I too have an Indian version. First root and then flash any rom of ur choice. Just backup the rom from recovery once you are rooted. That will help you in critical situation.

Please don't forget the EFS folder. And put it somewhere safe (e.g. on a thumb drive and file it) because it's the single not really recoverable part of your phone's filesystem and necessary for all communication. Recovery is easier than paying Samsung for restore

I can find a proper rom for my sgs2

i have sgs2 kernal xwkdd-cl161513
can anybody tell where i can find a proper ROM, if there is an offical one would be better!
have you looked at http://www.sammobile.com most of the original stock ROMS are there? You have to register and you can search by Country to find the original ROM for your phone.
What do you mean by proper ROM

I think you miss something here. When you flash a new rom (custom via CWM or official via Odin), your kernel will be 'updated'. So your current one doesn't matter.
And why flash XXLSJ when official JB is already out..?

You indeed can't use Kies when you have root access. The link to official roms has been given above at the first answer. Flash it with Odin.

How on earth do you expect anybody to tell you which rom you need to flash when you have not given a single bit of specific info about your device like which model s2 it is, what your location is etc etc?
You have already been given a link to find your correct rom, use it and then flash via ODIN using guide on forum.

Which roms is stable and camera fix P7510?

Forwarded from my other thread post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2473982 , I have 2 questions.
1. Which thread guide me to flash to custom rom straight way from HC 3.2 stock samsung 10.1 P7510 to JellyBean custom roms ? including Nandroid backup ?
What I know , flashing from 3.2 to 4.1 method must be in a correct step avoiding brick or I Should use the traditional method , 3.2 to ICS then Jelly bean ? such as kernals base issue ?
2. There are so many custom roms avaliable. I would like to know , which rom works the best with compatibility and smooth UI ? Camera fix and etc ?
Appreciate any help

First...to which ROM is the best...depends on you're style and device. All devices aren't equal...even when they are the same variant. But I like the 4.3 ROMs.Look at my SIG to see which one I'm running today...Lol.
Now..on to you're rooting. You most definitely need to update to 4.0.4 ICS..I have a guide after you're on that version so you can root and stay stock or flash a custom ROM.But you need the ICS boot loader to flash almost all of the new jelly bean ROMs, if not all of them.I believe when you do the official update from kies it will install that boot loader.( never had to as my device was on 4.0.4 unrooted ).
Back up you're tab to you're PC before you go updating..The update might wipe sdcard, not sure. And in case the update goes side ways on ya.
Let me know if you need any help.

Getting to the safe side , the best is using traditional flashing to ICS then to JB.
I am currently rooted for HC.The ordering , I need to flash it to samsung ICS first ? which mean , I need to unroot my device ?
Or I can just flash to custom roms ICS ?
Currently , stuck at this point.Which is the correct procedure ?
Flash stock ICS first using Odin first. Then you can flash to any version you want.

No. Just flash it with Odin. Don't use that ROM. That is a modified version. Download the stock ROMs at www.sammobile.com.
