Just root your phone then flash anything that you want.

dont worry dude. I too have an Indian version. First root and then flash any rom of ur choice. Just backup the rom from recovery once you are rooted. That will help you in critical situation.

Please don't forget the EFS folder. And put it somewhere safe (e.g. on a thumb drive and file it) because it's the single not really recoverable part of your phone's filesystem and necessary for all communication. Recovery is easier than paying Samsung for restore

What do you really mean? from where are you accessing and what?
Why you want extract...? for removing any specific app?
If you have a CWM back up of earlier ROM, you can use Titanium Backup Pro for individual apps installation for installing from your earlier ROM....
I just wanted to do it in case I would like to back up to original state before rooting and flashing CM7.

Sorry to say you cant backup your current ROM till you root your phone...
Use checkfus to download original firmware .

If you use CWM you do not back up original as it has cwm and root kernel ,

Ok, I have back up my phone just after root so I have possibilty to back my stock T-mobile brand firmware but with root.

[Q]Stock ROM

Recently , i have been watching some Cyanogenmod 9 ICS 4.0.3 ROM video and it seems to be cool. Well my question is if i flash the Cyanogenmod ROM , can i re-flash the stock ROM that i had?
And is it safe to flash a custom rom?

Cool as in not overheating ???
a wipe and flash of stock rom will remove custom rom .
Root and custom roms void warranty and have a slight risk of bricking the phone .
But are usually recoverable .
You need to read the faqs and guides and understand the CM9 instuctions first .

to flash cynogen rom first u have 2 root ur phone please find the thread in original devlopment section regarding the same
u can reflash ur stock rom by dwnld the releavant .tar file adn flash the same thru odin
You can re-flash the stock rom, but just be sure to know which one is your stock rom. Go to settings, about phone and record the info there to be safe. Also back up your current rom using CWM.
There are always some risk in flashing a rom. Some people dont read instructions and cause problems on their phone, some people flash a rom not built for their phone (i9100 VS i9100G), etc.
Yeah i have rooted my device with cf-root. Thanks guys , i'll read some guides about cyanogenmod and flash it.
If your are currently on GB stock rom, Cyanogenmod developer recommends to install ICS bootloaded first,
You should be able to reflash your Stock ROM veriosn from ODIN, as well as custom roms from CWM...
What is bootload? o.o
My current firmware is ICS LP7

No they say to have below some specific ics boot loader, no mention of upgrading your gb boot loader, unless they changed it.
Plus I yet to had any issues with the latest ics or gb bootloaders..

I think he meant boot loader.
But since you already have ICS, you won't need it. Just take the latest CM9 nightly (or ROM based off it), and flash (you'll have to wipe cache data and dalvik too eventually). Make sure you make a full backup of your current stock ROM through CWM as well.

I refer this guide actually : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20841817&postcount=1
I dont know its outdated,
as others are sharing their experiance that you could flash CM9 straight away from your CWM since you are already on LP7 with ICS Bootloader.....
I don't get it... What is a bootloader?. I mean when i flashed with ICS LP7 i didn't put a file on bootloader. I just loaded the PDA .tar file and flashed it..
Soo that means that i have to reflash the stock rom with bootloader?

I dont know the ICS package you flashed had an ICS Bootloader already...
I just gave you the link for Original CM9 developers guide...
Just wait for others recommendation who have already flsahed CM9 from CWM....
Hmm thanks . But i have read in the guide that i can flash it with odin , do i still need the bootloader?

Possible ?

Another Beginner here
I was wondering suppose I rooted my S II and installed a Custom ROM And wiped the stock Samsung ROM that came with my phone.
Is it possible for me to return my phone to it's original ROM completely stock as I received it from the store ?
Thanks
P.S : Sorry if this question has already been asked.

Which roms is stable and camera fix P7510?

Forwarded from my other thread post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2473982 , I have 2 questions.
1. Which thread guide me to flash to custom rom straight way from HC 3.2 stock samsung 10.1 P7510 to JellyBean custom roms ? including Nandroid backup ?
What I know , flashing from 3.2 to 4.1 method must be in a correct step avoiding brick or I Should use the traditional method , 3.2 to ICS then Jelly bean ? such as kernals base issue ?
2. There are so many custom roms avaliable. I would like to know , which rom works the best with compatibility and smooth UI ? Camera fix and etc ?
Appreciate any help

First...to which ROM is the best...depends on you're style and device. All devices aren't equal...even when they are the same variant. But I like the 4.3 ROMs.Look at my SIG to see which one I'm running today...Lol.
Now..on to you're rooting. You most definitely need to update to 4.0.4 ICS..I have a guide after you're on that version so you can root and stay stock or flash a custom ROM.But you need the ICS boot loader to flash almost all of the new jelly bean ROMs, if not all of them.I believe when you do the official update from kies it will install that boot loader.( never had to as my device was on 4.0.4 unrooted ).
Back up you're tab to you're PC before you go updating..The update might wipe sdcard, not sure. And in case the update goes side ways on ya.
Let me know if you need any help.

Getting to the safe side , the best is using traditional flashing to ICS then to JB.
I am currently rooted for HC.The ordering , I need to flash it to samsung ICS first ? which mean , I need to unroot my device ?
Or I can just flash to custom roms ICS ?
Currently , stuck at this point.Which is the correct procedure ?
Flash stock ICS first using Odin first. Then you can flash to any version you want.

No. Just flash it with Odin. Don't use that ROM. That is a modified version. Download the stock ROMs at www.sammobile.com.
