I'm trying to use sony pc companion to flash to ICS, but it keeps failing. I have the stock 2.3 ROM, rooted, with CWM installed.
I installed CWM by copying files from the CWM tar file to /system/bin and /system/xbin. Unfortunately I didn't make backups of the original files.
I think I need to restore the original files to get sony pc companion to work...
Is there a way for me to get the original files back so that I can uninstall CWM and do the upgrade?
I can't see any find a source for those files or an uninstall procedure that works after some searching...
what is your current bootloader status? locked or unlocked?
locked
I suggest u flash using pc companion or sus and choose repair from software update. It will reinstall your rom to stock and without the cwm

I tried pc companion and it fails... what is sus / where do I get it?
PC Companion should work even with CWM installed. I think CWM is not the problem.
SUS is HERE
SUS worked! Don't know why pc companion was failing...

Some1 know if it's possible to change the Baseband in xrecovery mode or installing something(apk)?
I want to install 2.2beta4 but I can't because my phone is not recognized by the PC, He only charges the battery
And although he can enter on the flash mode but isn't recognized.
So i cant updated pro SEUS or PC Comp. =(
NO, as stated in the other thread on the same page asking the same thing.

If u can't update with SEUS, u need to use flashtool for X10, just download the genetic ROM and install it, it's easy, no big deal.
I hope u can do it, cya

You can flash the ROM via xRecovery to get the latest baseband & kernel.
Is in general section, make a little search.
I could install via flash, the problem is that my phone is not recognized by the PC, that includes the flash mode
basically the only thing I can do is use the xrecovery, and acess the SD card.
so I stuck to the baseband version of .49.
anyway I think I found the post about it. Tehouster Thanks!
I found the post but need to install the .sin files by FlashTool anyway = (

You can use xRecovery for the FW, but the kernal needs to be flashed with the flashtool.
this is the post I had seen,
Although I can install the 435.zip with xrecovery
but not to install the 435_FT.zip because this is installed via Flashtool...
By the way, installing only the 432.zip, the baseband becames Unknown and will not recognize SIMCARD

Eyama! I have tried rooting my phone using super oneclick but it display an error message "exec system/bin/sh failed no such file or directory(2) "
Try factory reset if stil doesnt work then you must flash original SE rom and do everything from begining.
Or maybe if some one from mini thread make you flash zip for sh file.

2. root your phone
3. instal xrecovery or cmw recovery
4.flash custom rom

I just upgraded my phone to WOLF tw gingerbread. I did everything with xrecovery and so. After that I had to flash a .tft bundle for baseband and kernel. After the install of the WOLF rom I tried to do that. But after I take out my usb cable and put it back in it says: please install of reinstall device drivers from drivers folder. I found some solutions on the web but they don't work for me. Does anyone have a clue?
My gratitude.
Repair phone using pc companion. This will give you stock 2.3. Then root and install xrecovery using flashtool. Then flash wolfs rom through recovery and you are done, to need for the .tft business.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Install latest x10 driver, or install latest SE PC Companion.
Or open flashtool folder, then drivers folder, find x10 driver, extract it and install.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Thanks for the help with the drivers. Worked like a charm.
But now a second problem has appeared.
It starts flashing and after a few lines it says.
turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging
I can't because I can't start the rom.
Any Ideas?
Kind Regards
Edit:
Got it working
Hello
I am currently in a big problem. I just accidently wiped all my data. I didn't backup and cwm is not installing aokp rom. The boot screen only stucks to "Free Xperia Project" Logo and does nothing else.
I tried flashing ics firmwire again but it failed. I also tried pushing cyanogenmod rom to my sd card my it keep on giving no device error.
I dont know what to do now. Simply cant even explain it properly. Can someone help me please.
Did you try repair with SUS or PCC?
If you can still enter CWM or you even get a boot logo then your ok, it will be an easy fix.
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
PCC and SUS are not able to detect XPU because XPU is not able to connect to pc.
Yes I can enter CWM and see boot logo.

Enter cwm, connect the phone to the pc, open something like "mounts and storage">"mount usb storage" in recovery.
Copy the rom that you want to flash from pc on your internal memory, unmount usb storage and flash the rom :fingers-crossed:
Can you connect in flashmode? If so,flash stock ftf file.

I am using NEO V, and using Jelly Sandwich before, and backup already before install another ROM (LOCKED BOOTLOADER)
This one:

after I complete part I, I can't reboot into recovery. AFæ—¥ER I tried Recovery X TO INSTALL, IT CAN'T START
SO I REINSTALL THE CWM BASED 5.0.2.7 AGAIN
when I start my phone, it stops at the "SONY" LOGO.. I am very worried now, is that bricked already?
Even if I use Flashtool , I can't connect it in fastboot mode.
If not BRICKED, what should I do? (don't tell me to take it to SONY, it's already out of warranty)
You can try to use sony pc companion software to fix. should work since you have locked bl
You dont need fastboot mode...(this is for flash kernel)
You just need Flashmode...(this is for flash FTF file)
choose wisely.
It can't start, is it ok to use PC Companion?
Why cant start?
Dont remember if PC Comp will delete data user.it is okay to use if you not familiar with Flashtool.
If just have a "SONY" logo when I started my phone
dont worry, its a softbrick...you can repair with SEUS , PCC or Flashtool...
