I know only that G Note had this same problem. Not so sure if they fixed this.

It comes from the ripple effect
Just disable it and it should be gone...
^^^ Correct
OP, just touch the screen with your finger and you'll see the light 'bleeding' moving hence it is not bleeding at all
u are absolutely correct, it went away as soon as i turned off the ripple effect, tks alot!

I miss having the option to light the touch keys only in the dark. Anybody know if there are any mods to get this option back in ICS?

On my stock, rooted galaxy s3 sometimes when I press power button to unlock my screen. Camera's flash turns on and is kept on until I unlock my phone... Also there is a sun icon on to top bar...
Is this any kind of virus or bug... Or this feature is activated with some sort of voice/motion?

Hello,
I find the white lights on the soft buttons way to bright and quite annoying when sitting in the dark on my phone. Is there any sw out there that can tweak this? I am rooted.
Thanks in advance.

You can turn the lights off. Just in to Settings / Display / Touch light key duration and you can choose OFF.
I don't have those options for some reason. Running a stock Google rom.
Thanks though

I'm still quite worried because my friend says hers doesn't have the blue tint although I haven't seen hers myself, could someone else please confirm the blue tint for me :/
I did not notice the "blue tint" in my phone..
If this helps, maybe it can be somewhere where you can tick it from settings>display
>display mode

The tint changes from pink to white to blue depending on viewing angle
Anyone have a slight shadow or banding above the navigation buttons ? Especially on white backgrounds like the Google homepage?

I'm not sure if it's banding or light leakage but I have it. I noticed it last night after the store closed and I'm debating on exchanging it.

If what im seeing is what you are seeing then I cant really say that its noticeable at all for me (trust me im super super keen on these kinds of things) I dont see any light leakage which is good
I can definitely confirm now that when the menu bar is present with my capacitive buttons on, there's definitely light leaking over and I can see 3 areas where the light is overpowering the black.
