black screen after safestrap - Motorola Droid RAZR

My gf's phone finally got the ICS OTA this morning and i managed to root it with no problems.
I was going to try out a new rom so i went through the safestrap process. Upon switching to safe mode, and trying a reboot, i get the menu to continue like normal, but then just a black screen.
I ended up having to force reset with the power and volume down button to get back to recovery. I was able to switch back to unsafe and successfully boot (thank god she woulda killed me if i bricked it or had to SBF lol).
Im curious why it did that tho, because obviously it needs to be in safe mode to rom.
Only thing i managed to find while searching was to update busybox but that didnt help.

It was probably plugged into the charger, Safestrap has known issues with not going into recovery while on charge.

Is their any other ideas I have run into the same thing with my XT910 with the CM10 build

[Q] Can not get to recovery mode, is it possible flashing to stock HWL my phone?

So on Thanksgiving my phone freaked out. blah blah blah. Used Odin and went back to stock. Since then i can not enter recovery mode at all. Not by pressing correct buttons or by using Rom Manager.
What it does is it boots up and goes to the first vibrant screen and will just sit there until I pull the battery.
I used to be able to get in to recovery mode with no problem... my phone was not hardware locked before. I just did not know if by flashing to stock would cause it to become hwl, or if anyone knew what the hell was going on with it! I also pushed in a button combo into the phone and wiped it to a factory fresh state also.
EDIT:
Now my phone would just not go past the first vibrant screen. Had to use odin to go back to stock once again... accept when it was done it did that error where i get red font at the bottom.... i was able to get it in to clockwork recovery... then i just flashed a zip that i had on it.. took a while but its working

[Q] Vibrant booting indefinitely?

I believe I'm running ICS Passion, I'm not sure what version
Last night I turned my Vibrant off. It wasn't anything special, just a boot because my messenger app wouldn't open. However, when I got home and tried to turn my phone back on the phone will take an unusually long time to get past the loader, and then the boot animation seems to run forever. I left it on overnight and my phone was not booted in the morning. The process seems to take up a lot of battery as well. I'd like to avoid flashing another rom because I haven't had preparation, but I need to update soon anyway so it's not completely out of the question. How can I attempt to fix this?

I figured I'd have to do this.
I used my home made jig to get into download mode (because the three button combo isn't working) however my computer is refusing to recognize the device when I open Odin. I'll try on my desktop when I get home, but for now I'm just going to let the phone boot and see what happens.
I'll post back if I still can't odin to stock.

Urgent Need Help Please!

So I tried rooting my T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant T959 successfully and tried flashing a ROM. In the middle of the loading, my phone reboots and gets stuck at the vibrant loading screen. Now it won't turn on.
I've rooted my old phone before and for some reason this time it didn't work. I followed instructions but now I guess it's broken.
*I used the oneclick root program. Followed instructions and what not.
Is my phone completely broken now? Or there's still a chance?
Not sure if this is what they call a hard brick or not.. I'm hoping it's not. Don't have time or will to search the forums. I'm panicking.
It's stuck on the Vibrant screen and doesn't do anything even if I wait.
Need a fast response asap please.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thank you!
Well first I think you are rooted, if you were able to put a ROM on the root of your phone and then use cwm recovery to install.....you are rooted.
Now pull the battery and put it back, hold vol up/vol down and power, it should take you back to recovery then reflash the ROM. You are not hard bricked.

I have been trying to get back to recovery but it takes long and doesn't do it. I'll keep trying though.
I'll report back in a few.
EDIT: After a few minutes of trying.. I think it finally worked. Got to recovery and was able to flash the rom.
Hopefully everything will be stable.
Thank you so much!

[Q] Back to ICS Stock? (Frozen at CM9.1 Loading)

Hey, guys. I woke up this morning, and I didn't have audio on my phone. I rebooted, and now my phone is sitting indefinitely at the CM9 loading screen and will not move past. I've let it sit for half an hour, and nothing. I've pulled the battery three times...nothing.
I figure the best thing I can do is figure out somehow to get back to stock, but my issue right now is that I can't find a stock ICS ROM from AT&T, only GB. And even if I did, I'm not sure exactly what to do since the phone is stuck booting.
Any ideas?
Thanks a ton.
You can always go back to stock 2.3 and upgrade to ICS through Kies. Are you able to get into download mode?
Hold both volume buttons down while turning on the phone.
Keep holding until your recovery screen appears.
Wipe cache and dalvich, reflash same ROM.
A factory reset from recovery, upgrade your recovery. . .

EVO won't Factory Reset?

I tried searching, but couldn't find anything quite like I'm experiencing...
So, I have an Evo 4G LTE, completely stock. (Pretty much a noob, never tried flashing or installing any roms or anything). I installed the 4.3 Jellybean RUU from my computer that HTC provided to upgrade a while back. A few days ago, I came back to my phone and it was completely off. I tried restarting it, but I only get the white HTC logo screen. It's stuck at that screen. I've tried going into the bootloader and hitting Factory Reset, but it just sticks there and doesn't do anything. I can no longer use the volume keys to scroll up or down, until I hold down the power to restart it yet again. When I would go back to the bootloader and select Recovery, I would just get the red triangle and I finally found while searching that from there I can hold the up volume and power to get to the Recovery settings. While there I've tried both wiping the partition cache and the Factory Reset option there. That Factory Reset acted like it was doing something, but only for a couple of seconds. It acted like it was successful, but upon rebooting the phone again, I still only get the blank white HTC screen and not the normal one that says "quietly brilliant." I really don't know what else to try. Thanks for any suggestions.

Have you tried re-running the RUU? I'd try that. Otherwise, you can always unlock your bootloader, and then install a custom recovery (I recommend TWRP). If you can get that far, you can just install a custom ROM from there anyway. Ditch the old stock altogether.

Yeah, that crossed my mind, but when I looked it up on my computer, I realized that it is an .exe file. When I run it, it requests that I have the phone on and to connect it to the computer to install it, which I can't do because the phone won't turn all the way on. Thanks for the suggestions. I'l definitely have to look into the steps to do that. I know there are several different options for ROMs. What would you recommend to be the easiest/most reliable?
Thanks again!

Try my newest CM 12.1. You'll need to install TWRP first.
