Is it possible to Tether or Mobile hotspot using GS3 without Sprint finding out? If so, how?
Does the phone needs to rooted or can be it out of box? Thx in advance.

I heard that Verizon will be charging to use the mobile hotspot for now on after April 15. I'm wondering if anyone knows a loop hole and to continue to use the hotspot without being charged.. Any info will help thnx

I have a samsung vibrant and i was tethering with easytether when tmobile blocked my tethering cause it isn't on my plan. I don't want to root my phone, so is there any way to tether for free without rooting? (Windows Vista)
If they're blocking your phone, I wouldn't think so, unless it's as easy as just getting another tether app.

Use a ROM with Mobile AP (2.2+ I believe). People have reported using it whether or not they've paid for tethering, but if they've blocked you this may not work.
Why don't you want to root?
I agree with "Why not root?" I rooted before on 2.1 and was using Barnacle (free wifi tether app) before upgrading to froyo 2.2 (which in Wireless and network settings includes Mobile AP for wifi tether, or USB tethering).
Are you on 2.2? Im also not sure if you can use the mobile ap or usb tether from froyo if they blocked you for using easytether.
I highly doubt it is being bloacked, do you mean throttled?
No Tmobile completely blocks tethering... they started charging for it.. but they can only tell if your using stock non-rooted

unlock your bootloader...then root your phone...next download wifi tether install it and then you have your hotspot back...
Unlock using htcdev? What if I want s-off also? What's the best program to use to root? Would I be able to use the HTC mobile hotspots or would I have to use wifi tether and would vm find out about it and charge me?

Try an app like Wifi Tether for Root Users.

This might work for you, I haven't personally tried it but I know what you're after, I use PDAnet to USB tether but if I try to do wireless tethering I get sent to a webpage that blocks me :crying:
