SOAK test has not started yet. Best to get your info from Motorola Atrix official forums.
A & C. You can do so by flashing back to 4.1.26, 4.1.57, or 4.1.83 full sbf. All your answers for this are in the dev forum. If you are on AT&T you can go here for guide.
B. Backup your contacts to Google. Backup your apps with TiBu. Backup your music to your external SDCARD. Anything you want to manually backup from your internal SDCARD, just copy and paste over to your computer.
I've just upgraded my Xperia Mini to ICS, and also rooted it, thanks to this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514
And it worked, but now I realized that all of the phone menus are becoming slow. Apps work perfectly and normally, but some phone menus (out of the apps) aren't as smooth as they should. Also, the games I recovered using Titanium Backup work slow either, some of them don't even work...
So I wondered, why is that? what should I do now or what did I do wrong? Help will be really appreciated, thanks
well ics is a little slower than gb and also gb is much better than ics in playing games and performance

umm fine, actually I didn't know that...
But the weird thing is that, before trying to root ICS, I installed normally (without root) just to see what it was, and then it worked properly, I mean, fluid and smooth in every aspect. It became slow and even laggy after I rooted it. So I don't understand exactly what happened.

How could it be? Losing the root? I didn't Lose my Root when doing Factory Reset?
Did you Use the Script Inject Method? You can Factory Reset your Phone after you Inject Script 2

Why not unlock your bootloader and flash a custom kernel based on stock, that has cwm and prerooted already in kernel. then you can factory reset as much as you like and wont lose root. And you probably lost root because you factory reset and that would delete superuser.apk so all you had to do was redownload that from the market and you would have root again. But anyway think about unlocking your bootloader but read up about it first.

I don't know, maybe root wasn't correctly installed. I re-flashed my phone and now it isn't slow at all. Actually all I know is that it now works as it should :d

Believe me... I would LOVE to unlock my bootloader, but my phone's bootloader status says "no". And as far as I know, that means that I have to pay to unlock it, or am I wrong? It's just that right now I can't pay for that.

hmm it's ok, I can live with that, I have no other choice anyway...
But still I can install some custom roms as long as they don't require to flash kernel, right? I don't know too much about that but I got specially interested in Real ICS...
Thanks to all for your answers and help!

Hello all,
I'm sick of my XperiaS ever since I put it on ICS. I don't really need any of the ICS features, I really loved my phone on original GB. Now is too buggy and a lot of problems with slowdwons and 3g connections.
So, what are my options?
1. Downgrade to GB? (how can I do this?)
2. Use a different ROM with this problems more or less sorted out? (which one and how?)
I should advise that i'm kind of a noob, but i'm willing to learn how to do either option, and second, I would like to root my phone to install titanium. What would you advise me? What toturial should I follow? Should I backup anything? Is it possible to backup mt apps?
Thanks in advance for the replies

Hi all,
I have an xu and I've been wondering.. am I the only one who suffers from a slow working device?
It was actually working great until the new ics build update (6.1.1.B.1.54). I'm really a newbie so i don't think i shud mess up with my phone but i obviously considered wiping it since i hav many apps installed. I failed to root it (after many tries) with the new version so I have extra apps that i cant even delete, some of them working in the background. And that's why, i believe, my phone isnt working as smooth as before.
It's really giving me a hard time doing simple actions such as phone calls or chatting in whatsapp(i entered the "Apps->running" in Settings and it showed that i have 10mb of free ram) ... many things as basic as these take too much time and its kind of annoying. Is there a way to make my device faster w/o wiping my data? is my problem really caused by the firmware?
I hope u can answer my questions, and when u answer please take into account the fact that i don't know much
thx in advance!
(P.S. i bought my phone about 8 months ago - it's not old or something.)
I doubt you use all of the apps. Uninstall those you don't use.

@Bhargav4591 I tried many kinds of roots*** (bin4ry, Eroot, Goroh_kun) and all failed ( even tried binary's more than 1ce since it was updated and i wasn't sure whether it'll work now or not

Please explain a little further .... you tried rooting the b.54 firmware directly using Flashtool ? If so , it's not gonna work ..... you need to flash the stock b.10 kernel first , Root your phone with that kernel , let it boot up,then reflash the stock .54 kernel =) .... give it a try and post the results ...
@ Toon and Bhargva
I really aprreciate ur ideas and ill consider doing them but wiping my data is my last resort. And i think that if i'll flash anything it'll be the 2.3.7 GB and it will (hopefully) be much smoother.
However, I think that the repair thing might rly help so perhaps ill give it a shot and see if it gets better.
Thx again for giving me these ideas I believe they will suffice if there isn't a way to repair my phone without wiping my data.
More ideas are welcome

We're all here because we want to learn to make our devices better and that involves asking and finding out... There is no shame in that . Ask away friend ! That's what this section is for. Do flash the b.10 stock kernel, root, and reflash the b.54 kernel for root.. post your findings

Hey Everyone,
I am brand new to Android and cannot thank these forums enough already on all the help I have had already in the one week I have been here. I hope one day I will be fluent enough to help out people as much as I have been helped.
My quick questions is, I am rooted and everything else is stock still. I have backed up on TWRP and Titanium. Let's say I want to try and flash a custom ROM. If i decide I want to go back to this untouched but rooted state, do I just have to run the backup from TWRP? Or is there a rom I have to flash to get back to the state I am in now?
Any help or clarification would be great. Thanks!

Correct. You would wipe the device and then restore your backup
