Xoom Wifi is a google experience device, similar to Nexus in phones. Why Razr will release update before GED?
Because the xoom used stock android version. There's no motorola UI

I have just received ics on my xoom.
Now on my razr and I am very happy.
Come on moto,I want some ics on the razr.

Just be patient Google own Motorola the ICS update will be soon judging by within one month its already updated from android 2.3 to 2.6
One of my other phones is a Lg Optimus Black and after 6 months of lateness and waiting its finally got android 2.3 this week (LG suck for updates) to make things really funny its also getting ICS but that will probably be 2014 at earliest

OK, maybe I'm reading this wrong, but from what I can see, our RAZR (not maxx) isn't even on this list... I'll read it again, but I wanted to share anyways...

I saw that and its weird but the razr will get ics according to Motorola its still in planning and development. Droid life has a little bit different chart from Motorola and the USA razr is on it.

I have to admit, I saw Android Police's list, then the author say "not the Droid Razr" and everything went red. Reading Moto's support page, I see now that it's in "Evaluation & Planning". Still makes no sense, but I guess planning is at least a start? Nope... Still pissed...

Maybe would be great to read it again, carefully and very slow ;-) check ### i added to see

just like the title says, the list is quite vague. You don't know if it's coming out in two weeks or 9 months. Try to find a hobby to occupy your time until you hear about ICS on the Razr officially.

Yeah, this is exactly right. Motorola has already confirmed ICS 4.0 for the DROID RAZR and the Motorola XOOM. (Two of its top products at that time).
This list in the OP is new to "append" to the list that has already been created. "In addition to the DROID RAZR, yada yada.."
saw that they've released jellybean for Droid Razr M.
Is it possible for a dev to port this jellybean build to the regular Droid Razr?
or is the code that much different between the two?
I'm sure it won't be difficult
Update map motorola
Can someone post the motorola update list map, like which devices are getting future update. I had the link and now have lost it.
Thanks In Advance.

DROID RAZR (XT912)
ICS Upgrade (Android 4.0.4) rollout began in June 2012. Will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
So I believe that can be easily ported out to xt910 gsm version.
It looks like they don't give a f**c about EU xt910, they didn't even mention about JB upgrade:
"ICS Upgrade rollouts began in Q3 2012 for select countries and carriers".
I think we as XT910 users should start some kind of campaign to let motorola know that they should give a big FFFF about us !
so, according to the motorola site, the XT912 WILL get jellybean sometime !
ha...didn't know that.
so that makes this thread meaningless.
sorry for starting.
Moderator can delete this thread i errantly started.
sorry.
HTC said that about ICS on Desire HD, and finally we hadn't any official ICS. I hope we won't get the same story here

It will eventually come as it did with ICS. There is no diffrences between xt912 and the xt910 besides the radio (GSM and CDMA) have some patience
You guys seems to forget all about the locked bootloader and the regional signing of the partitions. If only the X912 get the upgrade we will be stuck with ICS kernels unless we erase the CID partition and boot with BP tools. If they gonna upgrade the X912 is totally unfair to left us behind the x910 users.

I'm not complaining but it seems like we've had kexec out for awhile now but it works like crap. Battery life is less in it and we lose ram not to mention the camera doesn't work at all...
dtrail, How is the work on Kexec? If you need a tester I volunteer to be one

Are there any differences between the two? Im on the soak leak and all is working fine, I see no reason to go through the whole un rooting and re rooting process if there are no benefits.
Thanks
The official hasn't been pushed yet. All we have is the soak right now

DROID RAZR & DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola receive Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean
MARCH 7, 2013 : BY MOTOROLA
We’re happy to announce today that the Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade is rolling out to DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola owners in phases. Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean offers new features and apps that make your life simpler. With features like Google Now, Voice Search and expanded notifications, all of your key information is at your fingertips.
Seeing as how it's been less than a week since the soak test came out, I can only assume that the soak build and the official OTA are the same.

According to the International Business Times in UK, "Motorola is likely to release its official KitKat update for Droid Razr and Razr Maxx not before February or March 2014." Does anyone know if there is a leak info on that or sth? I really wish we get to get an official KK update from Motorola.

Motorola will update some Razrs, but the HD versions (these http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4970&idPhone2=4972), not XT910 and XT912.
i guess they suck big time then~

The author have a good imagination causing false hopes for the owners of the device when motorola said 4.1.2 was the last os version for it. I didn't like the ibtimes.co.uk as its trustiness is questionable for my standarts. A video starts playing itself and delivers a news of jb morgan patenting bitcoins and such. In the end, you have to login with one of the 4 most important website logins of yours to their site. Sorry but i will not login my hotmail or google account to comment for a fishy news.
unlikely, its a 3 year old phone.

This is great news! But I'm skeptical... Supporting older devices like this is the best direction Google/Motorola can take.
It is not official Motorola has already said they are not going to support this phone. It was a mess up on the New site.

No way that Motorola will suport the razr anymore, it already get the longest support in Android history(my personal feeling) but it will no longer be supported.
