Stock ROM .zip? - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I've been rooting and flashing for a long time now. But, like an idiot, when I unlocked my bootloader and flashed a recovery today I forgot to nandroid my stock ROM. I tried looking through the dev section but may have missed it. Is there a zip for the stock ROM somewhere out there?

There is. I'm posting from the phone, or I'd link to it. Viper posted a rooted deodex stock rom in the development section. It's probably back a few pages.
Edit - who knew you could copy links from within the XDA app? Neat! Found the thread, here you go. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677264

Thank you!

[Q] With regards to the broodcomb thread...

First of all, this is the thread I'm referring to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1233328
Am posting here because I don't have enough posts to reply to the thread. Really doesn't make sense that the forum requires 10 posts before I can reply there.
I'm really confused with all the links on the OP. The instructions aren't clear enough for a noob like me. Would appreciate any help here.
Basically I want the fastest/smoothest experience, so no TW for sure, and OC if possible. Am not really sure what deodex does for me so not sure if I need deodex or broodcomb...
So correct me if I'm wrong here.. Never done this before so I'm just picturing it in my head(getting my tab tomorrow so just wanna make sure I get things right) this is how I should do it..
1. I will need to download this and install through odin no matter what... Hmm what does CSC: CPW and XEU mean anyway?
Stock Rom [ODIN] special for XDA Members only ( CSC: CPW and XEU )
2. This is where I get lost. Do I choose between these 3? If yes, what's the differences between them? And where's broodcomb?
CWM KH7ROOT
Stock Deodexed Rom special for XDA Members only
CWM Rom by mabalito
3. Install the non tw update/ themes/etc..
4. where in all these do I fit in the installing of pershoot's kernel? Can OC be done only with pershoot kernel? Does 3G work with pershoot's kernel?
I appreciate any help you can give me. perhaps someone can do me a favour and post this up in the thread so that others can answer it.
Thanks
Ryan
any kind soul out there? I just need someone to help me copy paste my post over to the thread so that others can answer it.
I'm running the stock KH7 rom and it's much better then the KG9 that i had before.
As far as i know, there is no rom for p7500 that doesn't have Touchwiz. In that thread there is just a theme that looks like vanilla Honeycomb, so it doesn't give any performance boost.
Besically you need to install the stock KH7 first (using odin) and then install custom recovery if you want to root or use other modifications posted there.

I've got my tab now and have been messing with it for awhile without much success. I tried this...
1. reboot into cwm recovery
2. install deodexed stock rom via cwm
3. install cwm non-tw (from the thread)
and that resulted in a reboot-loop. So I can't go straight to cwm and have to install stock using ODIN first? okay help me out here a little, I'm still not sure what or where ODIN is...
okay I managed to get it to work after many tries. I used odin(which i think i didn't need to).. then installed the deodexed stock rom, pershoot's kernel, and non-tw..
Like i already said, first you need to install stock KH7 using odin.
Glad you got it working.

Can someone show me how to flash a kernel?

Going to flash S8 from stock, but I have no idea how to flash the kernel first.
Here's the link to the kernel thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1289460
I don't even know which link is the kernel itself, so I figure I better ask for help.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1281779
Thread moved from the Dev section to Q&A section.
My advice to the OP is that if you dont know how to flash, then dont. Read up first, and there is a lot to read... but its all good information on how to NOT mess up your device.
Also, if you want to flash S8, check out his site and his thread. Mikey steers his users in the right direction and makes a great rom.

I am using Mikey's instructions...I've flashed SVII before, but it didn't require flashing a kernel. I just want to make sure I do it right, but so far have not gotten an answer to this rather simple question. If anyone feels like spilling the beans before I just have to google it and go with some random's method, I'd like it alot.

Also. There is a FAQ thread that pretty much explains how to flash a kernel using Odin.
No extra thread needed.

its that link...
says that kernel is not for battery life though, and links you to Entropy's kernel...but on his thread I don't know which one of the 10+ links are the actual kernel DL link, really appreciate it if you could tell me which one it is

entropy's post has several to choose from. they are all dated. the dates are the versioning (if you will)
how hard is it to click on one and download it? maybe the most recent one?
also, Entropy's kernels in that thread are for CWM, flashable just like any other CWM zip file
perhaps you need to read the FAQ thread and the HOW TO ROOT thread. this basic stuff is explained very well.
Latest Entropy kernel is DD_11132011.zip For future reference, the file names are based on the release date.

ok I DL'ed that zip file, and tried to flash w/ odin but it doesnt list it as a valid .tar file, and won't let me see it in the list of files I can choose from to flash
downloaded cwm, and flashed it with odin (the exact way I tried to flash the kernel, but this one actually shows up for use)
cwm is installed, moved the .zip to SD and installed with cwm, and nothing. Phone is not rooted and completely the same as before the install...
Not sure what to do at this point.....why didn't the kernel flash?
Should I just go ahead and try to flash the ROM?

what exactly did you expect to happen??
flashing kernel =/= rooting your phone.....
i am completely confused as to why you dont read the FAQs i have repeatedly pointed you to?? they arent there for forum fluff, they serve a freakin purpose!
since its obvious you dont want to go look for yourself, here are the links:

Installation
From Stock:
1. Install Entropy512's kernel, found here.
2. Entropy512's kernel will give you root and CWM. Download Titanium Backup from the Market, and after allowing root permissions, back up your apps.
Durr me no speakee english
But I flashed the ROM with CWM anyway, and it worked. The phone is blazingly clean and fast and battery life has dramatically improved. Thanks everyone!

[Q] Rooted ICS 4.0.x Amaze 4G Camera?

I apologize in advance if my question is answered elsewhere on the forums. I looked for a while to no avail.
Has anyone come across a zip or an apk for the stock Amaze camera in 4.0? I have just recently rooted and flashed a custom rom that I like very much, but I miss the functionality of the camera. Gonna roll back to stock for now, but any info or assistance on how to get this in a custom ICS rom would be fantastic. I found the 2.3.5 kernel flash and the corresponding camera .zip but I assume it does not work as it is for GB.
Thanks,
Dave P.

Um, what? You lost me there.
I updated to ICS and flashed a custom rom, but the camera apk that came with it was not the Amaze Camera. I found the thread with the .zip for the Amaze camera but it was for Gingerbread. I tried flashing it (Several times to be safe) but it just force closes.
Is there an ICS version, or am I doing something wrong with the GB version?

Found this in the bible. Going to check it out.

That works fine, but I'd advise you to browse to system/apps and delete the TMOCamera.apk and copy the file from the HQ zip file, rename it to TMOCamera.apk or it won't work, but still flash the zip so you won't have to copy the other files as well.

Need Help from Froyo to Jellybean

Hello all. I am trying to get jellybean on someones vibrant. Its on froyo and its already rooted. What would be the best way to do this? Do I need a different bootloader? or can I just get clockwork and flash? What is the best way to get clockwork? any help would be very much appreciated. thank you.
I guess from what I've been reading, GB bootloaders are optional. If you decide to go ahead and flash it then follow the guide and you'll be fine. It takes around 10 seconds to flash.
Look in this section for the update.zip file. It will put Clockwork Mod Recovery on your Vibrant. It should be located in Woodrubes Repository, (look for it in the stickies).
Find a JB ROM you want to try. I have used Helly Bean and Paranoid Android. I like them both. PA has a lot more options if you're into that kind of thing.
Each ROM has its own set of instructions, so read them. Don't take this the wrong way, but the fact that you created this thread tells me you haven't done your research. So, before you go and brick your device, do some reading up. There are really great guides and other reading material in the stickies and all over really.
As always, if you need help... hit us up. We're always around.
You were just sliced bread before you were burnt by the toaster.
One more thing, go back to stock 2.1 using Odin, then root, get cwm recovery, then flash a new ROM.
No tickee, no laundry!
cm7
When the jb Roms first started to release most of them suggested to flash cm7 first to setup the system for install of jb Rom

Oc5 stock rom

Anyone have a link and instructions to flash from nc5 custom rom to lollipop do I have to change kernel or modem I been reading for ever seems all links are toasted had to wipe and Odin this rom is so stable not one force close need to get my flash on guys what do I need to do I miss the galaxy s2 epic touch was nice so many roms and things to do now can't even get cm 10 . On my note no data guys I could use some help here
First off please use punctuation, it'll make it easy for people to help you. However, what I did was a Odin flash back to stock NK4 then took the OTA for OC5. Did another Odin flash to get TWRP. After that I flashed SU. Then some debloating.
Now I did see some where I think in the General section or Q&A section about flashing OC5 via custom recovery but personally haven't tried it yet.
Please excuse me I'm mobile I wanted to provide link to point you where you need to be.
Or search. Even a little. Saw a thread titled...any guesses? lol accepting bricks as donations. Jk
Thanks! Sorry been a long game time since I've posted or needded help
