Probably the froyo one, he's mentionning CM7 and CM9 and their developpement is far more advanced on the froyo kernel.

Latest fastest STOCK rom?

What is the latest most stable and fastest stock touchwiz rom available? I don't want any whacky themes, or all the overclocking just stock touchwiz with stablitity and without the lag...
I just odin'd back to JFD from gingerbread rom which was crashing too much and too much rainbow screens for my taste...
Bionix 1.3.1 by team Whiskey. For sure!

why you want stock touch wiz is beyond me but you could just flash most recent kb1 (all current 2.2 roms are based off it) and flash a voodoo kernel afterwards.
It's jvk, absolutely no doubt about

Bi-Winning Beta is a fast and smooth Touchwiz Rom. I haven't found any bugs or lack of functionality.
Funny you ask I'm rocking ZSJPJ 2.2.1 with the EDT tweeks and Overstock 1.5.1. Kind of been on a tw kick lately and this is silky smooth and with the GPS fix its just everything I want and need. I also used the included SGS tools app to add the 5 icon dock with colored tiles to enable the landscape mode on the homescreen. I very well might be settled until we have 2.3..... maybe.
Bi-Winning Beta 2, its amazing how brilliant this rom really is.
Yeah, try bi-winning beta 2. It's amazingly quick for TW, and if you flash tigers blood kernel, you get OC/UV, Voodoo sound v6, and more!

The biggest mod or tweak u've done to your phone

Was just wondering whats the biggest mod or tweak u did to ur stock phone ...n how much 'cooler' can it get...

Would flashing the GB ROM count? If not I just had to get that Honeycomb battery indicator and native screen capture mods.
Quad booting between a Runnymede ROM, CM7 ROM, MIUI ROM and a ridiculously themed CM7 ROM.

MIUI Lockscreen now available @ Market

Hey guys,
today MIUI made available their lockscreen for everyone. You can download it from the market HERE.
except all the lockscreens have chinese text or text that isn't rendered properly (like in between the month and date)
I tried it, but my screen would become unresponsive at times. Couldn't hang up the phone. Uninstaled it and all is good now.

[Theme] KTT16's Blackout Theme
[Recovery] romracer's Blue 5.0.2.7-photon3 CWM-Based
Im using this and I like it but they do need to get rid of the Chinese characters and add support for larger screen devices like ours. However part of that problem is the themes themselves not being created in the resolution of our phones.
Or use these...

[ROM] Frostmod 2.0

Hello there. I originaly made Frostmod for the og droid, but being that I recently got a nexus one, I thought i would bring it over here. Frostmod is gingerbread rom based on Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 RC1. I designed it to be highly customizable, and it has almost no native theming, so you can make it look the way you want. It includes my own app frostmod toolbox app which allows you to switch recoveries, launchers, boot animations, fonts, reboot, and will eventualy allow lower level system settings. this ROM also includes many extra theme options. In the theme manager you will find my frostmod theme which gives the device a nice blue look, and in the cyanogenmod lockscreen settings, you will find my frostmod lockscreen style. Bellow you will find the changelog, and many screen shots. . I hope you guys enjoy this. If you do please press the thanks button
Once you install go into the about settings menu, and click on the frostmod version. It will give you advice, the change log and more
Download: Frostmod V2.0 Passion:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46535328/Frostmod_V2.0-Passion.zip
Thanks goes to
cyanogenmod, for all of their amazing developent, hardwork, and because it is the base of my ROM.
Koush and Madmaxx82 for the recoveries used in my app.
Screen shots were taken with my theme frostmod locksreen style on, and ics clock font installed.
Disclaimer. I can not be held responsible if this does any damage to your phone, wife, children, or anything else you can think of
which hboot is required ?
You can eaither use the factory stock hboot, or blackrose with the stock layout. If you are using blackrose it should say something at the top like STOCK-145/95/186
if you have blackrose installed, then flash this:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46535328/hboot_blackrose.nb0.zip
if not, the do nothing

Im sure thats fine. Its a gingerbread rom so nothing special is really needed.
Hi, I tried CM9 on my Nexus One but found it is not good enough for daily use. CM7.2 RC1 seems good for me. I would like to give your ROM a try. Before that, I'd like to check with you that if a2sd or similar is supported by your ROM? Thanks.
Btw, is there anyway to implement MIUI style digital battery display on status bar, like MeDroid CM9 does? thanks.
Couple of things,
1) Can you offer a setting to get the torch to light up when long pressing home button on lockscreen?
2) Does this ROM come with DSPManager and other CM apps?
3) Can we use S2E (a2ext script that only works with CM)?
4) Is this just a straight port from the Droid or did you build it from scratch on our device?
Thanks.

1: Idon't know.
2: Yes most except dev tools and spare parts, but with dsp and filemanager and torch etc.
3: Yes S2E Compatible
4: Based on CM7.2 RC1 For passion. I think.
Hope that helped.

He answered most of the questions. I did build it from scratch for the passion, and I can certainly try to get the torch to light up when long pressing the home button
Running smooth so far IV been using it all day, but my question. How hard would it be to port miui's camera to your rom? Is it even possable? I really should learn how to compile my own rom xD

It shouldn't be that hard. I could even add add it to frostmod toolbox so you could switch between aosp and miui camera.
This is definitely smooth and quite fast - have put it through the paces and no bugs. Thanks for the nice work, I'll be using this for my daily driver for a while!
its the only reason why i keep going back to use miui (just for the advanced camera features) this would be the perfect rom if it had that option

update - the app itself force closes. I do not know yet what other resources it requires
Update2- I got the app to run
Don't expect any more etas. I'm working on other things, and enjoying my summer.

Which is better rom?

I want to ask which is better rom dscv2.1 or pcm7? So that i will go for that rom in my dell streak thnx

You should try both of them then decide. DSC is 2.3.3 rom and CM7 is 2.3.7, I choose DSC cuz is light and fast.

best rom
MIUI 2.4.20 is ever best rom i installed in my dell streak 5. i used froyo, gingerbread, longhorn. but this MIUI is smoother, faster, graphically rich among those roms. you may find the thread---[Rom] Streak MIUI 2.4.20 English----in this development forum, and install in ur streak. there are many themes. so you didn't install any other home like go launcher or other. the icons, statusbar, wallpaper, locker, settings and graphics are very impressive and you can't stay without that. i didn't face any errors after installed it. thanks to MIUI team for this great rom.:good:
With the plethora of ROMs, what is the "better" ROM is subjective at best. The moderators themselves tend to frown on such threads.
CM7-based ROMs work well, except the camera's zoom function doesn't work and there is no dock support. In addition, PureCM7 has no haptic feedback support for the capacitive buttons, although the on-screen buttons it does use have that support.
MIUI is an unknown quantity to me. Depending upon its sources it may have the same issues as CM7-based ROMs.
DSC is the only ROM where everything works as it is supposed to. This is because it is based upon the Olleh KT Gingerbread ROM for the Streak.
You won't know which is best, until you actually try them for yourself.
