I have recently pre ordered a S3 for Verizon and we have come to find out that Verizon themselves have locked the handsets bootloader. This is a huge shame and is downright sinister.
There are quite a few people working on cracking the bootloader but as of now we have not gotten very far. If ANY of the talented minds that make up the International S3 forums would be willing to help the cause, it would be greatly appreciated.
I will post links as soon as I can to threads as I am using the xda app on my phone. But for now if you would like to help, go to the Verizon galaxy s3 development forum and check out all of the bootloader threads.
There is also a petition being signed to make Verizon unlock the bootloader and free out device.
(will post link soon to petition, it's in the general sub forum for the time being tho)

Signed, Goodluck.
Closed, try asking in the US SGS3 section rather than this one, these phones are the same in name alone.

I know Glanet MiUi was closed down on XDA due to some infringements (that I do not know about). Today I wanted to show off my friends high benchmark scores so I wanted to get it. Does anyone know where can I find it? I tried their official website and it looks like its closed down. In case anyone has an old build can he/she share the link?
PS: If this post in any way violate XDA terms and conditions please close it down. XDA is my only one stop place for Galaxy S2 so I have asked this question here. Thanks!
Their site is only down for maintenance. Just give it some time.

If you wish to have this request noted then post in the New Device Forum Requests thread.
I've also reported you thread identical to this because you're not allowed to make desperate threads saying exactly the same thing.

I understand that, but the same can be said for a lot of devices mentioned in that threads. The end result is the decision of the admins and if they feel the device needs a forum for itself, they'll make one for it. Apart from posting in that thread, there's nothing else we can do to bring it to their attention.

I was just searching for our custom roms and there are quite a few but are scattered away. There is quite a strong community on cyanogen forums :/

The only thing I can really suggest is to PM a moderator and ask if it would be alright to create a thread dedicated to everything to do with that phone. There's no guarantee they'd say yes, but it's worth a shot.

I don't really like the rules even tho im sure there is a reason. But for a romer like me whose been roming since droid A855 its rough. I never post because I usaully just read through the forum if I have a problem. But I finally had a question that nobody asked and I couldn't post because of the rules. I just wish maybe a questionnaire or something could be used to evaluate who is new to roming or if u just are new to XDA. This isn't a rant just post of clarification.

I have seen this brought up in the forums of the past 5 phones I have owned. That is over a 2.5 year period. I've never seen XDA even attempt to care to try this.
It was also discussed that you would have to past a questionnaire or test before you could post in the developer sections period. To many people post in the dev section when they shouldn't.

I kno man it makes little to no sense. I hope at some point this changes

I've used xda for quite some time and obviously never have posted....or at least very little!
But since apparently I don't have posting abilities in the Development portion of the forums, please tell Jamie he's definitely done a bangup job with the latest LiquidRom for the EVO so far.....
if I have issues with the ROM moving forward tho, (I have common sense enough to search first....like I said, I've used XDA for sometime, just never posted.....) how do i reply to that thread and ask if i can't find an answer?
Thanks Everyone!
You have to have 10 posts before you can post in development.
Welcome

Instead of spending time here, head over to the forum specific for your phone model & carrier.
In general, most samsung phones (including your model) can go back to the stock state using odin.
Do you know how to do this?

You do not need 10 questions to read any existing threads, or (if needed) ask a question in a Q&A forum. Questions do not belong in Development forums which is why the 10 post rule is in place.
