Maybe since you are s-on, the kernel did not flash correctly. This could cause Wi-Fi not to work, afaik. Maybe get s-off and then flash the Rom again.

Try an app called flash image GUI.

on the link i gave you everything is explained, but i believe there were 2 zips posted with 2 different wifi modules, 1 happend to work for me.
so i didnt had to extract it from a rom.
i flashed it with CWM recovery, just choose install zip from sd card, after wifi worked again.
used this wifi module on 2 different roms and it worked both times.
right now i installed stock rom for my device and waiting for ics to be finally released for hk devices. so no more need for me to fix wifi

I suffered from scrolling cwm so i tried this fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27830023&postcount=41
It worked excellent but when i lock my screen and unlock it again it starts flickering like shown in this video: http://youtu.be/P6fMxjFdpJE
I have tried to do factory resets both from recovery and flash an original firmware. Nothing works.
Is it possible to get this fixed or am i screwed?

When you tried the fix noted above, I assume the screen didn't roll when you rebooted then into CWM recovery. At that point did you flash a ROM and THEN reboot to find the flicker after locking the screen, or did you do a reboot back into the same stock HC after flashing the bootloader and experience the problem?
I'm contemplating flashing this same bootloader because I have a rolling CWM5.5.0.4 right now and I want to stabilize it - but just so that I can root...not thinking about a ROM just yet...
Just to inform you all, i also had to flash a different bootloader after installing cm9 on my p7511, wich is in fact a 7510. For the records, pershoot made the new bootloader for exactly that issue, not backwards. But seems to work also.
What i deal now with, is that after flashing the uk ics for p7510 to my tab, the stock recovery doesn't recognize my sdcard. Can't mount sdcard...
Could be that a repartitioning with pit file will be necessary afterwards for us all.
Edit: thanks to the wise help of msedek, i know by now that my hind was totaly wrong. My mentioned point has to do with the Changes within stock recovery of ics, which have been made to prevent changes from there.
Getting more confident..
OK so it is sounding like this is definitely better. One more question:
I'm following the stickied root guide in General and that method uses CWM 4.0.0.4...I had reflashed that version. If I want to flash this boot loader should I flash 5.5.0.4 first? Or does it matter if I'm just trying to root right now?
EDIT: Flashed the bootloader which straightened out the recovery!! Successfully rooted after that. Downloaded root apps (ROM manager/Titanium/etc). Then turned off my screen - FLICKER CITY!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680738 <<< THIS fixed it. Load this kernel into the root of your tablet and flash it with CWM. Seems to have done the trick nicely and I'm exploring my newly rooted tab! My wife no longer wants to kill me either.

I have the same problem on my P7500 3G and the minute i load the bootloader to fix CWM recovery rolling i get the screen flickering after lock screen.
Rom: ICS 4.0.4

Kernel: 3.1.10
Still stuck.
Hi guys,
Gtab 10.1 Wifi here. Fix didn't worked, somehow...
After installing official ics from Samsung and rooted, i had the same insane flicker issue. I followed this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680738 - , flashed new kernel, and now i cant pass Samsung Galaxy Tab logo for some reason, not even past half an hour.
Im in a dead end, even tried installing back CM9 but it also wont pass the splashing blue screen.
Any ideas?
cheers!
EDIT : After some reboots, finally managed to boot into ICS (CM9) but now i was pushed back to the step 1, where I don't have a working camera, but I have root access and non official ICS from Cyanogen. I am afraid re-doing all my work and get stuck again in the scrambled screen after it updates the kernel..
I'm I missing something, guys?

But please inform me if that guide(Pershoot's) has fixed your problem, thanks for that

as you have said,i just flashed the above kernel (Amaze-EKF-009b-sense.zip) into stock GB,but wifi error is still there
after that,i updated to ICS via RUU and flashed this kernel from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362759 (at #5)
Nothing changes.
at the first time,i have flashed the Amaze ICS(v015) kernel via 4EXT touch recovery, flashed kernel successfully .
but i think i go wrong somewhere, because the following instruction said:
CWM Flash Instructions: (NO LONGER SUPPORTING CWM METHOD DUE TO HTC's STUPID S-ON UNLOCK!!!)
1. Copy file to SDcard
2. Reboot to CWM recovery
3. Flash the Zip file (if you noticed an error, Flash the same file the 2nd time)
4. Reboot, Done!
i read carefully the second way
Easy Kernel Flasher Instructions:
1. download the above file (via phone directly or to a PC)
2. unzip to a folder then depends on PC or Linux
[ Windows ] open command prompt window and type Flash.bat
[ Linux ] open terminal window and type ./Flash.sh (make sure permission is set to 755 for the Flash.sh)
3. Let the script complete!
,downloaded the kernel, extracted into a folder on my pc.
but i dont see any "Flash.bat'' and dont know how to flash it.
but in the folder that i've just extracted.i found two file:
wl12xx.ko and wl12xx_sdio.ko
putting the whole folder modules into the this kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362759) and run flash.bat...
after flashing, both wifi and bluetooth broken
when i try to turning them on,they turn off instantly
//sorry sir for the bad english
Try to run my AIO tool, which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762936
If that doesn't work, more likely than not, it's a hardware issue, as my AIO tool will install a MOSTLY stock RUU with a stock kernel. If that doesn't work, I strongly doubt anything else would work either.
Make sure you follow the directions for the tool.

Anyone have any info as to how or where to repair the wifi chip on the amaze? I'm having the same problem and am quite certain that is it hardware issue as the problem started after dropping the phone and without flashing or changing anything, fixing permissions and flashing stock RUU's, kernels, etc of no help. Hoping that something is possible, would be great if it was as simple as a loose ribbon cable...

Hello,
Here is my situation. I got S-off, SuperCID, unlocked on my HTC amaze unbranded version. Then got ICS stock RUU to run.
The wifi, bluetooth worked fine. However, I have to compile the kernel for this exact version (matched radio, baseband kernel, etc). I downloaded the source from HTCdev (the one with TI WLAN sources), and compiled it. Then I got the zImage repacked so that it can run on the device. Then I see that the wifi, bluetooth shows "error".
The kernel build "readme.txt" located me to the kernel object files such as wl12xx.ko. So I planned to push them in to the device with command "adb push wl12xx.ko /system/lib/modules" but failed. I got super user permission ("adb shell", "su") but still cannot get the kernel objects to the device with adb command. Is there a way to handle this?
My final objective is to get the compiled kernel (with no wifi, bluetooth error) running.
PS. Doesn't actually matter if it is GB or ICS.
Thank you in advance.

It's easier if you swap the neccesary files with faux kernel zip and flash it from recovery or make your own flashable zip.. That way the modules and zimage get flashed without having to use adb

Okay, so I have attempted to update OTA my rooted/unlocked LGOG. It failes about 3% into the update and states it was "unable to update" no details. I tried restoring and unlocking, which caused a kernel crash on every boot up. I finally got it back down to 10o, used the stock ROM posted here to flash to 11c, then again up to Stock JB. Everything again appeared to work until I tried to flash the radio image. It failed every time and made it impossible to connect to wifi or receive most phone calls. I've searched the forums and although I see similar issues, none of the advice has worked for me.
I assume I must be just missing some obvious step or something. Any ideas?

well, my amaze was running very smooth.. i was using super sense and all was good, i decided to flash the source build pacman, after flashing the ROM i didn't get any good battery so i flash viper 1.6.7 because of its great battery life... after booting the ROM i just realize that my phone is not showing any network signals... after messing with it for some time i decided to start from the scratch so i downloaded RUBY_ICS_35_S_TMOUS_2.14.531.3_R2_Radio_1.14.550L.17DC_30.78.550L.15_release_262141_signed_13.zip, renamed it ph85img,put it to the root of my ext sd card, pulled my battery and rebooted it into the boot loader, fastboot auto detect it and started flashing, after the update phone still was not showing any signals, but when i activate and deactivate airplane mode, signals just came from nowhere just for 10 seconds and then got vanished, i flashed recovery and then rooted my phone and again flash viper ver 1.7.1 but the result is still the same... on/off airplane works but only for 10 seconds...i also cleaned out the back antenna connectors but no luck... :crying:
i am so confused right now as i do not know what is the problem ...is this somewhat related to the radio? i don't know . .
i hope you guys will help me to find out and solve this problem..
i have unlocked bootloader, s-off, supercid, 4ext recovery, any my hboot version is 1.93.2222..
please help me guys... and sorry for my bad english..
@ravike14, @SuperAfnan ....

Can you try and flash PACman, and see if the IMEI gets restored? If it doesn't, flash Super Sense again. Hopefully that will restore it. :good:
Unfortunately, flashing does go wrong sometimes. It is definitely possible to lose an IMEI, but you *could* get it back if you retrace your steps! Some guy lost his IMEI because of Google Talk, but got it back by retracing his steps on another thread.

Wow I didn't know you guys were camping out waiting for me.
If it DOESN'T work, then you should bring it back to bone stock by flashing a RUU, hide the "Re-locked" status by using scotty's mod bureied in the dev section, and send it to HTC for repairs, or claim warranty.
Sometimes flashing random ROMs *may restore it, but that might be unlikely. Good luck! :fingers-crossed:

You may need to flash the T-Mobile OTA.
Did you use hangouts or talk by any chance?

If everything fails, go back to bone stock and flash the RUU.
If that fails, you may need to call your carrier, or send it to a HTC repair center.

Use the T-mobile one, since it's the most used. If there was an international RUU, that'd be great, but there isn't, unfortunately.

Yes just flash it. I can't guarantee anything though because nobody ever found a cure for IMEI's being erased on the amaze. But on the s3, odining to stock usually fixed it.

You might have to.
Look up a fastboot tutorial, you will need to type in "fastboot oem lock" using command prompt in the sdk folder. You should look up a tutorial or guide on how to do this because it's going to take too long to explain in one thread.
Once your boot loader is relocked, proceed to the RUU. If this ruu fails to restore signal, I'm out of ideas. Sorry @carbon_guy.

I've unlocked my bootloader, rooted and installed CWM custom recovery. Not surprisingly the Sense 6 update will download but it won't install. I tried to flash it manually with CWM but that won't work either. Again, no surprise.
Is there a workaround that I can use to install the Sense 6 update?

Yes, you need the stock recovery not custom recovery to install the ota plus stock rom installed.

Ok, I flashed stock recovery and the update looked like it was going to install but it failed about a third of the way through and gave me a red triangle. I rebooted and fortunately the phone is still working. I tried installing the update a second time with the same result. Any ideas?

You have to have a pure stock rom. You may have to nandroid a stock or RUU but you have to decide that, but it have to be stock not root or any system file edits. Sorry, missed the bootloader need to be locked.

My rom is stock (Telstra Australia) but I've installed a few Xposed mods. If I do a factory reset I'm assuming that will take the rom back to stock. If I then remove root and relock the bootloader will I then be ok to flash the Sense 6 update?
Mate, I'm having same issue, Telstra Australia.
Check out his thread. I think you need to save three files that get wiped when you unlock bootloader. The update looks for them. I'm still trying to get it to work.

Thanks. I tried the 3 files thing and it didn't work for me probably because the bootloader was still unlocked. I got sick of dicking around with it and decided to try to get S-off which I'd been having trouble achieving with Hboot 2.49. Finally got S-off and then flashed this.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53890999
Cheers.

Nothing was working for me and I'd almost given up but I was pointed to this.... http://firewater-soff.com/instructions/
I was already rooted but for some reason the first method wouldn't work for me. ADB is very new to me so I may have done something wrong even though I tried it a couple of times. I used the second method but didn't use temproot cause I figured as I was already rooted I didn't need it. When I used the commands in the second method S-off was achieved.
The rom I mentioned above looks really good btw.

Yeah it does look pretty slick. Wasn't sure about the large icons through. I watched a review on youtube. Looked a little strange...

Not sure what you are referring to there. I didn't see anything overly large. Was that on the stock launcher? I'm using Apex.
When the OTA update fails and you get the red triangle, have you tried holding the vol up button then pushing the power button?
This should take you to stock recovery and you can see why the update failed...
Might give you a point to work from.

No I didn't do that. I'm on a custom recovery and custom rom now though.
I'm all back to stock with the three files saved. Just waiting for the OTA update to download now.
I'll let you know if it works.
So what's the sense 6 camera app like? I have never really been happy with the camera on the max.

I haven't had a really good look at it but I don't like the fact that you have to tap a button before you choose video. On the old app both camera and video were one tap away. Now if you aren't in video already it's 2 taps.

I ended up getting this to work....
When you save the three files that are missing with a root file manager, you have to save them to \data\preload NOT system\data\preload
Worked a treat after I did this:good:
How did you get firewater to work?
I keep getting a kernel error. It says that my kernel has a anti firewater patch. Very frustrating i just want to be able to lock my bootloader so my finger print scanner works properly again.

That's interesting what you say about the 3 files. Now I know why it wouldn't work for me. Regarding Firewater I just followed the instructions in the link I posted earlier.
I've actually reverted to a Nandroid of my stock Sense 5.5 rom. I like it better than Sense 6.
