[Q] (OTA) Software Update error - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, previously when I tried to check Settings -> About Device -> Software Update -> Update
I can get a message "No Updates Available".
But NOW, Everytime I tried to check for updates I'm getting always the error message below
"Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem. Try software update via Settings > Software update> Update, or try using PC Kies"
I'm pretty sure I have a good internet connection because anything online can load with no problem..
Why am I getting that error?

Dunno but heed the power of the s3 and do what it says....connect to kies lol

I'm worried I cannot get any OTA because of this problem :crying:

Not rooted mate.. all stock.
I started getting this error when I tried to check the update for "LFB"

Possibly reset your net, and boot into recovery (Samsung 3e) vol up+home+power (let go when white Samsung writing appears) then wipe cache....see if that works but make sure you restart your net

Thanks mate, but is it safe to wipe cache? I have lots of settings and I dont want to configure everything again

No...only wiping data will get rid of your settings, wiping cache deletes data stored by apps so it's fine

Hi mate I wiped the cache but still the same problem...

I'd reflash stock rom then mate....I can't think of anything else that would fix the problem other than connecting your phone to Samsung kies

Thanks mate for your help. Im frustrated because I did not do anything to my phone to make this happen. I'm not even rooted...
From what I remember I just tap Update when my FW was still in LF6. Then after I updated to LFB using kies the problem still persist.
Previously this was still working in LF6, I dont know what really happened, all I can say is that Samsung FW is really buggy... Even the icons inside the folder is sometimes not arranged the way I arranged them... :crying:

FYI guys, this is a known issue for Galaxy S3 AT&T model, heres the link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737394
It looks like a software issue, it's not clear though...
I wonder If I'm the only one with international version experiencing this?

Reboot your wifi modem/router, had that problem to a few days ago (connection problem). Sometimes wifi connections drop with the S3.

Already did that mate and still same problem. This is not only happening using Wifi, but also using Mobile Data (3g, H, H+).
Could this be a server problem? But my friend can connect to the OTA server without problem. The only difference between our S3 is mine is sim unlock and her phone is lock.

Yes mate. Everything is working great except for this... It's just a minor problem but I'm worried that I could not get any OTA updates in the future (If this is really a problem and nothing to do with the server side of Samsung)..

Yes.... Same issue for me, SGS3 from amazon.de.
I didn't root, didn't flash...
And my phone is on (base) I9300XXLF5 - (version) IMM76D.I9300XXALF6
EDIT : I cleared the OTA app's cache, force stop then reboot. Now it say new update and open the download window!!
EDIT 2 : it's stuck at 0% :'(
EDIT 3 : after 10 min at 0% it finally said 100% downloaded and propose to update the firware and reboot.
I press Ok, then the phone Reboot and say : Failed to update the firware, please try again with Kies....

[Q] WiFi Error

Hello,
I know there are already a billion topics on this subject but after reading an awful lot of them, my problem still has not been resolved.
When I connect to the WiFi at home (WPA2-PSK) there is no problem: everything works as it should.
When I connect to the WiFi at my school, there is a problem. After connecting to either the Guest-account (no security) or the Eduroam-account (EAP with TLLS and PAP) the phone will load websites for like 1 minute, after that it will simply not load any webcontent anymore. When I check the WiFi-status it will first take a long time to open this menu (settings->Wireless connections->WiFi), and after opening it will show 'error' where it normally would show 'connected'. The only thing I can do at that point is rebooting the device, after which it will again work for 1 minute.
Things I tried:
Download WiFi-fixer apps off the market;
Load the developers drivers using *#*#526#*#*;
Connecting to both unprotected and protected WiFi;
Not using the internet: it will still crash after a while;
Flashing different original ROMS (KPN, KPO and KPH);
Disabling every connection but WiFi.
Non of these attempts had an effect. What can I do to resolve this error? All the other threads don't give adequate solutions. I am really desperate because this problem drives me nuts!
Current system configuration:
Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
Android 2.3.3
Baseband version: S5830XWKP7
Kernel version: 2.6.35-perf-CL400247
Buildnumber: GINGERBREAD.XWKPO
CWM 4.0.0.9 and rooted
Thanks in advance,

Schools have certain protection that disallows certain devices from connecting (e.g. Mac Address Blocker)
You can complain to the school about it , or rather......use 3G .
Have a good day
No my school does not disallow certain devices to connect (e.g. everyone's phone just work perfectly), so that is not the problem. And this should not make the WiFi crash even if this was the case.
Nobody has any idea? I tried removing the SD-card (read on some other board this could have some effect) but this did not resolve my problem.
Me and my friend we both have the exact same problem at out school (BME)
But we dont have to restart our phone jusat simply turn wifi off and on again.

I've tried flashing Cyanogenmod but this does not fix my problem either. Presuming they just took the WiFi-driver from stock firmware this would mean the problem really is in the driver. I guess my only hope is Samsung, but I do not think they'll ever release a fix for this problem...
I am having the exact same probelm with my work's wifi, at home everything works perfectly, but just a minute on my work's wifi and a driver reloading is mandatory... i look forward for an answer but so far I haven't read of anyone trying to fix this (with greater knowledge than an average user like me)
hopefully a ROM or an official update in the future could fix this...
Same here.
I have the same problem. Eduroam works fine for like one minute, and then it stops working. The unprotected network doesn't work either.
I've got this issue with stock roms (I've tried most of them) CM7 and Gingerreal I think.
I think our SGA is a good phone, but first with SOD and now this... I'm sick of samsung's wireless
I'm still having this problem... ROMs I've tried:
1) Stock Gingerbread
2) Cyano Ace RC1
3) Cyano Ace RC2
Will flashing a new radio has a chance of fixing this?

You can add GingerReal to the list.
I have tried flashing, as you said, but no luck. (I don't remember which one I tried, but didn't work)
Ok, still no luck. I've tried with S5830XWKPY firmware and I got the same bug.
This is driving me nuts. I'll try with froyo
Another wifi problem is "not see wep wireless"
For Windows7, Connectify is being used for sharing internet.
but for wep passport, my galaxhy ace couldn't find virtual modem, but my old phone samsung monte saw and connected, what is the problem? what do you think?
(excuse me, for bad english)
on 2.3.4 XXKPH(with wpa2) after this issue got, when i try turn off wifi then on, he shows connecting disconnecting connecting disconnecting
but on 2.3.5 XWKS2 same issue only after i turn off and turn on, wifi connection works(not showing connecting, disconnected)
i didnt tryed wep on 2.3.5 but on 2.3.4 worked without any issues
hey guys, i was having massive problems with wifi erroring everytime i turned screen off for a while then back on. I tried flashing multiple different roms and kernels but nothing worked. The only way to fix was to restart the phone everytime.
however recently i accidentally stumbled on a solution for my problem. installed setcpu and set the cpu frequency to 480 max during screen off and without me knowing it this solved the problem. i havent had a problem with wifi erroring since. I guess the process which enables/disables wifi must malfunction if it is not getting enough clock cycles? because i never had this problem when phone was connected to the charger, only when it was running on battery.
maybe this is something you can look into. you can get setcpu free on these forums or buy/donate through market. Theres heaps of advice on these forums regarding how to setup/use it.

It didn't work for me. :'(
I'm still trying to figure this out... I think this problem may be related to the wpa_supplicant. Some random guys offer a "patched" version, but I didn't manage to install it without breaking the wireles T___T
Could you please share the "patched" files? I will try to install them and share my results.
And this phone has some other minor bugs(look at the linkspeed):

Hey guys,
I also have SGA with 2.3.4 official samsung ROM. I did *#*#526#*#* and some days later problem continued..
But, then all I did is, kept WiFi on all the time.. It doesn't consume battery much. and easily connects with any WiFi whenever I need in my case.
Nevermind, I read it's for froyo... I can give you the link, if you like.. http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=172042
It's in Spanish, though. It says: 1. Download the script, 2. Unzip it (SD) 3. Follow the instructions.
But, it'll probably break your wireless
I've installed "eduroam fixer" and "Wifi advanced configuration editor" but I don't even know what to do with that...
I still believe that the problem is in wpa_supplicant !!!

Strange behaviour with browser and google satnav

Since upgrading to ICS, the default browser is pretty much unusable. If I scroll down a page, after a few seconds the page then decides to scroll back to the top, interrupting what I'm reading. Is this a fault or a setting?
Google satnav volume is much quieter than with gingerbread, how do I make it louder?
During navigation, it decides to sometimes flip between the female voice and a male voice. How can I fix that?
Is this all because of a possible corrupt upgrade or is ICS just crap?
Smells like a bad upgrade . Reflash firmware .

Well the browser doesn't seem to do that anymore since powering the phone off and on, but satnav is still quiet.
How do I go about reflashing the firmware and will I lose anything?

Can anyone please help? How do I reflash the firmware? Does that mean reinstalling 4.0.3 and where do I redownload it? Not only do I have the problems listed above, but now when I connect the phone to my PC, it recognises it and 'GT-1900' shows up, but when I go to open it to see my files, it takes ages and then comes up as a blank window. So i can't access my phone files on my PC. It worked once but won't do it anymore. What about the factory reset option on the phone, does that put the firmware back to gingerbread and should I try that and backup my data first?

It may sound stupid, but that problem is mainly down to you using a different USB port on the computer. It is usually the first USB port you connect your phone on a particular pc that will work fine. After that any other port on that pc will show the problems you described.
I noticed that problem and tested it out on 3 different computers. It didn't matter what USB port I started with, but it only worked on the first used USB port of each pc.

Yes I would back up my data first.
Although a factory reset will wipe everything back to a clean latest ROM you flashed. If however there was a corruption in the flashign of the ROM, then tha problem should remain. If you are going to all that trouble of wiping the phone, then you may as well reflash a fresh download of the ROM you want.

Thanks for the help. I'm using exactly the same USB port I was using with gingerbread, so I guess it's not that. I'll do a backup and then factory reset. I believe the reset keeps it on ICS, that's what you mean by the latest ROM I flashed, yes? I'm not brave enough to do odin tbh, so I'm going to hope the reset 'may' clear the issues I'm having, and hope it's not a corruption that remains. I fear you may be right but will keep my fingers crossed.
I'm surprised noone has wondered why opera mobile would view this forum in the old forums skin (as pictured above).

do you maybe run an app that tries to connect and turns on WiFi automatically?
You could also try a soft reset of your phone to factory settings
Check settings/Wi-Fi/advanced (menu button) and make sure Wi-Fi timer is off

I did a full reset and it seems to have fixed the problem.
Phone was getting a bit slow anyway so I decided to go for a full wipe.
Were you somehow able to get this fixed? I suddenly had a wifi issue myself. It happened around two weeks ago. I suddenly was not able to connect to my home wifi when I was more than 2 or 3 meter away from my router. I have tried absolutely everything:
1. Tried flashing new modems and kernels.
2. Tried flashing CM11 then wifi fix patch - didn't work. I flashed boeffla kernel - it just made it worse, I could connect when I was near the router but couldn't use the internet - it just showed wifi was connected but with slow or no internet.
3. I tried flashing back to stock rom and even updating with kies but still the same problem.
4. I flashed Android Revolution HD v52. Tried different modems on it. Flashed wifi fix. This still didn't work so I tried boeffla again. No luck.
5. I tried the murata fix through terminal emulator and still didn't fix it.
I don't know what to do anymore.
Can anyone help me, please??
Probably hardware fault.
Would you be willing to downdate your android version?
My SIII has the exact same behaviour as yours.
Wipe everything, clear Dalvik.
Try flashing this stock: I9300XXEMRH_I9300VFREMJ1_I9300BUEMJ1_HOME.tar.md5
You still will have to use the annoying *#0011# thing to psm off every time you reboot.
Yesterday I installed CM11 and was very very happy with it. It's fantastic really. So lightweight.
But wifi only worked to > -50dBm power levels. That is what you are facing right now.
As you know, with CM you can't invoke *# commands.
Before that I've flashed samsung stock 4.3 and the behaviour was exactly the same,
with the additional thing that *#0011# didn't bring wifi up as expected.
Hope this helps in any way.

Since there was no reply to last answer I assume there's no interest at
the moment. But maybe this helps someone in trouble in the future.
By reinstalling and changing some options, it was possible to achieve this:
- wifi working with SIII, 4.3, with no need of *#0011# tweak - can leave psm default, on.
- wifi range went back to my previous numbers, that is, 40m away from router behind wall.
Diagnosis:
- when connecting to wifi, SIII get stuck at connecting, possibly with 'authentication error'
- *#0011# psm on/off doesn't solve it
- *#0011# status show no ssid, mac ap 0.0.0.0, and/or weird numbers like power and speed
Process:
- if you have root privileges, clear Dalvik cache from root explorer, if not, just go to next step
- triangle away your custom rom installs
- power off
- power on to recovery
- wipe user data / factory reset
- wipe cache
- install 4.1.2 Netherlands I9300XXEMG6_I9300PHNEMG2_PHN from sam mobile via Odin
- reboot
- let it install all bloatware, login to your google account as usual, register for update
- here it updated ota to 4.3 after 3hours downloading. You could try download a official 4.3 rom directly,
although I did not try this method
- wi-fi options, advanced, make sure 'always allow search' is ticked on (5th option top down)
That option is what makes it work. Why is that is the most interesting thing, and it is, as far as
I understand it, a kernel bug. It costed me 40 hours of googling, home testing, changing all
kinds of security/encryption router configs, wiping and reinstalling ROMs since ICS, and more.
Hope this finds someone else in trouble...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2343579
How to root the phone:
1. Download this chinese root software called VROOT (I use this method because is the only one that worked for me but it must be other ways too...)
http://www.mgyun.com/vroot
2. Enable "USB debugging mode" on your phone (Settings > Developer Options > Android Debugging)
3. Connect phone to computer and install phone drivers, download them from LG site if necessary
4. Run VROOT and you will see that the program detects your phone model, click on the green square button that says ROOT, if everything goes ok your phone will restart and now you will see a "root" app on your app drawer, that means your phone now is rooted.
5. If you want to change the root app (because is in chinese) you will need SDK Tools (http://dl.google.com/android/installer_r22.2.1-windows.exe) and Java JDK (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html)
Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu or any other root manager and open it up, go to setting and select "Install SuperSU into /system" (this will override the chinese root app).
6. Open an ADB terminal and type the following (with the quotation marks):
Windows:
adb.exe shell "su -c 'mount -o remount,rw /system'"
adb.exe shell "su -c 'rm /system/bin/su'"
adb.exe shell "su -c 'rm /system/xbin/su'"
7. Restart phone, open SuperSU and update binary sources, and ta-da! done.
If you have any question or you don't a step PM me and I will help you.

I have tried to install a custom recovery, Clockwork Mod, with the custom recovery for L5 E610 but I can't make it work, I also tried several guides of the E610 but none seems to work so I guess it is incompatible with the E450...
But I will continue to update the thread with news, updates and stuff ported to this (awesome?) device.
Some mods by Slipsystem: Here
And now, thanks to the amazing user slipsystem, it is posible to unlock the bootloader of the E450! Follow this link to find how to do it: (L5 II) Unlocked Bootloader (Optima Team)
Any comments or links are welcome.
I bought the LG E450g, I suppose that the "G" would refer to my area and frequencies 850/1900.
I have not tried to root yet.
It have a nice performance, more than a Galaxy S Duos, and the UI feels really smooth.
The only issue with this phone is the Wifi/Data disconnecting every time the screen goes off. This means I will not receive Whatsapp messages o whatever that uses internet until I turn on the phone.
I have tryng looking for a setting, app, or something else without luck. Also I did a factory reset, and flashing a new firmware, but still no luck.
But in overall, the phone just works fine.
Have you enable the "keep wifi on during sleep" option? Which apps have you tried?

Yes, I enabled "Keep Wifi on during Sleep", disable "Mobile data Limits", everything, but no luck.
Im still looking for an app that forces the connection always on, but no luck.
Is your E450g working fine? Which firmware do you have?
I'm using stock firmware but I've never experimented that kind of problem... mmm, you can try with an app called "Advanced Wifi Lock (Free) search it in google play.
Finally someone else confirming this issue. I have the same problem with my L450. I initially thought this was a problem only on my phone and that it i had a problem with the firmware. I have flashed the latest Chinese firmware and still have the same problem. LG is unaware of this problem this is there reply to this issue

Dear Slipsystem,
The part where you enabled the Wi-Fi during sleep mode that’s fine like that and did you have a stable Wi-Fi connection prior to this?
When you try going onto the internet does it give you an error message and if so what error message does it display?
Kind Regards,

ME
I do have a stable wifi connection, the same thing happens on my home network as well as my work network. I get no error message using chrome it just tells me the page could not be loaded. I also am not able to browse shared folders using es-file exporer.
I did google it and alot of people say thats its a rom issue. I am not using a custom rom, and I dont want to send my phone in for repairs if all they are going to do is re install the software. I have tried doing a factory reset but I still have the same issue.
I can re-install using the lg mobile support tool but I am trying to avoid having to do everything again.
have you experienced this problem before on any of your other l series 2 devices?
could this be a firmware issue?
I had I haven't experienced this issue with the samsung s3 running jelly bean or the sony xperia go running jellybean.
It shows that the wifi is connected but its not. when going to google it says page could not be loaded. I installed wifi fix and everytime i lock my phone when I unlock it wifi fix has to repair the connection.

Hi Slipsystem,
It’s rare that we get issues like these and if we do get issues where the phones system is not working as it should we flash the phone (run software) and it normally resolves the problems.
We have never experienced this problem on any of the LG series as far as I know. What I can advise you to do as a customer is take the phone back to the store where it was purchased from or to your nearest network provider where they can have the phone tested for you.
I can give you the hard factory reset code as well but I don’t think it will really make a difference (3845#*450#) then WCDMA only – then Factory Reset.
Kind Regards,
Dominic Bridger

I think the best option for us is to install wifi fixer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wahtod.wififixer I found this to be the only app that works. and wait for a new update or custom rom that fixes this issue
i have the same problem! with WPA2 nets! LG E451G (Argentina)
Does this problem happens with all the networks you are connected to? I mean has anybody tried with a different network? Because it seems that the only difference of wifi on E610 and E450 is a "dual-band" feature, maybe it is a compatibility issue with your router frecuency?
Or maybe it is a firmware problem? this is my software info:

I have had this problem with my work network and with my home network.to be honest I am not sure what dual band is, but my wireless settings look like this.
Hello Slipsystem.
I was thinking that it was only my phone too.. No app fixed, nor flashing new roms, nothing worked.
I saw your post about Wifi Fixer. So I will try it.
I was doing it the manual way, -Wake up phone.. -Wifi off.. -Wifi on.(Each time my screen went off) (Yeah, maybe 5 times in 5 minutes).
Also I tried modifying the build.prop, not luck - (To be true, I didnt know what I was doing, I was really desperate)
Some Customs
Some customizing if anyone is interested

I know no one has been able to get a custom recovery to work for our phone yet. But if it were possible what would you like to do with it other than Install a custom rom. Debloating is a must but what type of mods/ports would you want to install on your device. for me i miss the xperia range of media apps so I ported it to my phone. Before I write a tutorial I want to know what your suggestions are.
Tell me what you would like ported to the L5 II.
I guess everyone is shy.... This is the reason why I asked the question.

Hello again! As you know my L5 II was dead, but now thanks to you it is not anymore.
Answering your questions. The first thing I would like to see is a WiFi-issue Fix. Then maybe a AOSP-themed (Settings and some other things) lite rom, or even better.. a cyanogen port.
For mods or port, maybe a port from the beautiful lock-screen of the LG G2 (Maybe I'm dreaming). But to be honest, I don't really envy anything from other phones.
In overall, I'm very happy with this phone.
The only bad thing = WiFi :silly:
If you are really interested on developing, porting, modding.. I could be a tester for your work
hi
Good work, keep going to discover things for this device.:good:
The recent news from CyanogenMod are that they are working on an installer so that the mod will work on any phone yay, so im expecting it will solve the wifi issue on ours... I guess it will install a custom recovery so we will be able to flash easier

WiFi Fix is a definite, I am not sure how to fix this though I think it has something to do with a kernel tweak or something. I dont like to play around with anything except the system folder.
AOSP-Theme I am looking into for you, I found a few threads but it seams to require a CWM based rom.
LG G2 seems possible as far as I know it is the same as our lock screen just with added effects. I am pretty sure this is possible. It might take some time as I need to download a LG G2 rom to port these feature and the Roms are almost 2 gigs and my internet connection is very slow. It is probably something to do with pushing the lockscreensettings apk and then copying some libs and frameworks to get all the effects to work.

Hi, I'm from Argentina. I have the e451g and had the same problem. Solution: change router security from WPA2 to WPA
Sorry for not posting in a while guys I have been down with a sickness.
I am looking at all suggestions and trying my best to help out.
some progress
ivan0550 request for LG G2 Lock Screen. I am not getting a Force Close anymore but I am stuck with editing the framework-res.apk hopefully after editing that I will get the effects to work.
ivan0550 request for a wifi fix, still havent found a working solution for this, Fede37 recommended changing the router settings from WPA2 to WPA this has no effect. I am going to try setting my router to different bands and frequencies to see if it will stabilize.
rotorto request for mass storage option, all of the tweaks that I made to the build.prop doesnt seem to throw my phone into mass storage mode. I am not sure if there is a way to get this to work without installing a 3rd party app.
ivan0550 request for a AOSP like settings. I am not experienced in Cynogenmod or AOSP as all of my previous android phone didnt have one of these custom roms available. I am not sure on how the settings work and what its sapposed to do but maybe this post can shed some lite
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2431622
all in alll I am having no luck but I am going to keep on trying. If i keep hitting a brick wall I will move onto another project and come back to trying to get these things to work but I wont forget about these requests.
Dont feel afraid to request anything as I will try my best to help out wherever possible. I love getting request as I like to modify my device and it just gives me insparation.

auto restart promlem

my a3 suddenly restarts while using after android 10 update, I've already did a factory reset it didn't work, is it a bug or hardware issue? how can i fix this? it happens everyday more than once and its frustrating
I have a same problem
same here
Hello guys, had the same issue and found that chrome is messing up the memory and creating restarts, so disable Chrome and use different browsers like opera and Firefox.
Have you tried with other versions of Chrome like Chrome Canary or Chrome Beta?
In my case it's not Chrome.
The reboots always happen when the phone is locked or while unlocking the phone. They never happen when I'm using the phone.
The reboots always happen in the same parts of the day (22:00-01:00 and 04:00-12:00) and never when the phone is heavily used during the other parts of the day.
Different A10 ROMs I've tried (Evolution X and crDroid) and different kernels (Bit and Fenix) and all of them have this problem. I've never tried the stock A10 ROM.
Maybe there are 2 (or more) different Mi A3 versions, because my 1st Mi A3 didn't have this problem.
Yes same here.. it has a random reboots. Still for unknown reasons.
I've encountered this problrm when i flashed the first a10 update (global), and then, i used miui 11 rom for a few months, no problem with miui. Few days ago, again, i flashed official a10 (global, and my phone is eu) and totally forgot about the restarts, and when it started i got reminded of those issues.
In my case, it might be because of global rom on eu phone, or magisk (even tho i use only energized module), but it happens when i type on keyboard (no matter what rom or what phone, i always use gboard), but chrome does tend to freeze, which did never happen on miui.
If there is any fix, please reply.
Hi. I have been encountering a similar problem. The phone is new since I have been using it for a day only. I haven't modified the phone or installed an update. I was playing when the phone restarted by itself and kept on restarting (it vibrates then shows android one then shuts down again). It kept on happening until my battery died. I tried charging it but it kept on doing the same thing. Hoping to find help. TIA
Same here on rom Pixel Experience
I had this issue on MIUI 11, MIUI 11 + Fenix Kernel, crDroid, EvolutionX and the latest stock ROM. Beginning to think it might be a hardware issue. Maybe it's related to thermals? One time it rebooted randomly while navigating and the phone was in front of the A/C, so I thought the reason might've been the cold coming from there. Other than that I have absolutely no clue what's causing this.

Damn! Y didnt u goto fastboot mode?!
Same here - totally unstable even after June 5th update. Right now my phone is not responding. It randomly rebooted about 15 mins ago, still didn't response, manually restarted it, came back up but is now not responding again. I can't have this level of instability with my business phone. Going to attempt to get a refund and try a different manufacturer. Shame as I love the phone otherwise...

Pretty sure it's related to thermal problems. It's very warm in the UK right now. My car was hot inside - Mi A3 crashed after about 10 minutes on the passenger seat. I'm indoors now in the cool but can't get it to work. Will reboot okay, work for about 5 mins and then go slow - usually followed by another reboot.
CPU-Z shows some pretty hot temperatures in there... I've taken my 3rd party case off but not helping.

Dude I don't have that much knowledge when it comes to that but I surely did try to press two buttons at the same time such as fast boot and the other of which I can't remember that much. But.. it would just show fast boot mode then restarts again as for the other.. it says no command. What happened to me is that I sent it back to where I ordered it from, after an negotiating with the seller and after around 2 weeks, due to some delays, they sent me a refund.
