I have been having issues with the VVM app not provisioning new VMs lately. I can call into Voicemail and hear that I have new messages but they do not get passed onto the VVM app. I have had to call Sprint twice in just as many weeks to have them "reset" something on their end and things start working again.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Not rooted, everything stock.

I was wondering if anyone else was having the problem with texts from the web since getting their thunderbolt?
Since switching to this phone my sms updates from twitter haven't come in, also texts from aim have not been working.
Anyone else running into this problem, or maybe have a fix for it?
I've been having these issues along with a coworker intermittedly for the past two weeks, both on verizon running different phones. So I wouldn't say its just an issue with this phone, usually after a reboot or sending a few messages the backlog would come in
A few weeks ago I flashed the Skyrocket Visual Voicemail apk to my i717, after that when I had a missed call, when I'd unlock my phone I'd have a white box pop up that said who called with the option to ignore, call back right now, or set a reminder to call back later. I don't remember installing any other apps, so I assumed this was a VVM thing. I wiped and flashed the latest Perfections ICS rom a few days ago, it has VVM built in. I no longer get the pop ups after missed calls.
I'm begining to wonder if it was in fact another app that was doing this, but I'm lost. Does anyone using VVM get this? I looked in the settings and didn't see anything. If that isn't a VVm feature, I'm hoping someone know what the hell I'm talking about, it was pretty cool and useful.
Hi. I'm running CM 10.1-20130117 nightly on my Fascinate. For the most part it works great as a daily driver. The only major issue I have is I don't get voicemail notification.
It acts as if it only checks for voicemail once when it powers on.
If I have voicemail when I reboot the phone, I get the notification, and it stays on even after the message is cleared. If I reboot the phone again the notification goes away, but doesn't come back on if I receive new voicemail.
I've had this issue across multiple nightly builds. Other notifications such as email and text work correctly.
In settings, I've tried selecting and deselecting message wait indicator. Service is set to My Carrier, and voicemail number is *86. I haven't loaded any voicemail apps, and I've also cleared out all voice messages.
Can someone help me out?
This is a common issue for 4.2.2 ROMs on older Android phones. There is no known fix and I have experienced it on both a Droid Incredible and Samsung Fascinate on Page Plus (a Verizon MVNO).

Maybe you should install a voicemail app... I wouldn't go with verizon's visual voicemail since you gotta pay a monthly fee to access your messages. Go with Google Voice. It's free, easy to set up, allows access from the app/web, works with messages same as you would with emails, transcribes recordings... did i mention its free? Went with google voice a long time ago n never looked back... verizon's a joke.
I know it's an old post, but AOKP worked for me for the VM notification.
I've been using Google Voice as my voicemail provider since my HTC Incredible. At that time, Google Voice was not "officially supported" but my phone let me set it up successfully anyway. I only occasionally used it for voice calls, mainly I wanted it to capture all my voicemails so I could access them via the web.
I got a Rezound and set up Google Voice there, again, not "officially supported" but it worked fine and captured my voicemails the way it should. Last year I switched to the Galaxy S3, then the DNA, and it has worked fine on all of them.
Two weeks ago, however, I went to Europe and roamed with my international data plan, and upon returning found my old voicemail was back. I had to dial *86 and punch my voicemail password in for the first time in years to get my voicemail. I figured I just needed to change the setting back to Google Voice and it would be fine.
Long story short, I can't get it to work anymore. Has anybody else experienced this? Any ideas on how to get Google Voice working again?
It's still working for me. You may need to setup the forwarding services again.

Deactivating it and reactivating it worked out...instructions were in the Settings menu of the web interface.
Thanks for the help.
Hi folks,
Completely stock, unrooted, fully up to date Pixel 6 purchased from Google, running on AT&T in the US. Yesterday Visual Voicemail was working fine. Today, woke up to new icons for both Messages and the Phone app on my home screen. I had heard that new versions with new icons were rolling out, no big deal.
However, during a meeting my phone rang, and I didn't get a visual voicemail of the transcript. After the meeting I went into the app and it said something like "Visual Voicemail isn't working. Call voice mail to set up."
I called voicemail and entered my password code (manually, why didn't it remember my password) but there was nothing in there about VVM.
Any idea what's going on here?
I may have fixed it by turning off VVM, then turning it back on and re-enabling transcription. It took a few minutes hung at the "activating" stage, but then seemed to clear up. I left a message, and it got transcribed and I can see this in the app now.
However, I think they monkeyed with the layout a bit. And the shortcut on my homescreen to the VVM window is gone. Why do they change things that work fine already?
