I have been using AOKP for a few hours and suddenly my play store says it says that i am not connected even tho i am connected to wifi and wifi does work because i went to a website in chrome. I also tryed loading play store on hspa+ and it still didnt do anything. Everything else works great and i love the rom otherwise, but this is really frustrating!

So I decided to view some videos on the youtube app today, and for some reason it does not load. I uninstalled and tried to re-install the app through google played, but I was unable to download anything through google play. Using the mobile 4g connection, it works fine, but not over wifi. Is there something wrong with my device here?
I'm having the same issues. I'm on a different phone (T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy SII) but YouTube and Google Play are dead for me on wifi. I was able to download an app over 4G but it over wifi I just get "Downloading..."

Spoke too soon I guess. Both work for me now over wifi. Didn't even have to reboot (rebooted earlier and it didn't fix it). Must have been something on Google's side.

You can try to reboot your wifi or set the static IP. Hope it works.
Aight so he has called google play store to see if its on there end and its not.. I searched on here for ways to fix and nothing works yet.. When my cuz first got his LTE he could download apps over wifi no problem.. Then a few weeks ago it stoped working.. 3g sucks where he lives so he cant even download apps at home.. I tried to see if it was his phone but i tried to download from the play store at his house and it wont let me either.. It just sits there but if he wants to go on the internet over wifi and go on youtube ect it works just fine.. Just cant download apps from play store over wifi.. Anyone ever had this problem? can he download apps on 3g at all? anywhere besides home, that is. if not then here are some things to try: clear the data from the playstore, google services framework, google checkin, soft reset with fastboot turned off, forget the wifi network and re-add it, reset the router, delete the google acct on the phone and re-add it.

no... wifi he cant download apps.. 3g works fine but he dont get good 3g at home..,. we are tring to figure out why he cant download anything from google play store over wifi

I've got a problem with my i9300 (running CM10) that it now randomly will not connect to the internet with any of the Google Apps, so the Maps app, the Play store etc all fail to connect over both WiFi and 3G
I've updated CM10 to the latest nighly build and still have no luck connecting to the internet, is there anything else I can try please? Tempted to try an entirely new ROM but a bit scared tbh (and last time I lost all of my save games etc)

I updated to a 4.4 ROM today, Maximus HD, and I noticed immediately after installing that the Play Store always says "no connection" unless I'm on wifi now. I tried everything I could think of - fixing timezone, date, clearing all the cache I could find, anything.
I eventually tried a second rom, Android Revolution HD. Same thing. Works on wifi, not on mobile data.
Anybody have any suggestions? I'm using an AT&T variant.
This is what it happen . I downloaded and installed Fifa 14 and i noticed the wi-fi icon turned from blue to grey . didnt payed too much attention to that at that time. i wanted to install something else and gotthe 491 error . i did everything i could find on the net about that error ( cache clear , log off and in account , everything) i even flashed a new rom. on 3g connection everything is fine, on wi-fi google play gives me no connection error or 491 or just stops
can any of you tell me how to fix this? everything else works great on wifi except google services and i still got the grey wifi icon . i have other phones on that same router and everything works fine on those . i tried connecting to another wifi and still the same . i can install and update everything on 3g but not on wifi ... pls help
